2024 PREDICTIONS: RUSSIA, GLOBAL SOUTH, USA, ENTIRE WESTERN WORLD AND UKRAINE

In 2024 the U.S. will continue to believe its manifest destiny is to be warden of a prison planet. Others however, will increasingly mitigate against this ambition, Russia continuing at the forefront.

As we approach the new year of 2024 Russia’s economic growth is running at a rate between 3% and 3.5%. Germany and the United Kingdom are in recession or very close to it and massively indebted, their plans for the future in ruins. Ukraine’s economy is in freefall. Only the USA of the western conglomeration has staved off the effects of the global western turn down by short term measures which will sour in the medium to long term. As far as the Global South is doing they are moving ahead with largely stable economic conditions.

So what of the future for these world powers, locked together as they are to one degree or another?

Of all of the above, Russia’s future status looks the most assured. As one of the world’s foremost oil producers she is in an esteemed position within OPEC. Russia is also a founding member of the BRICS group which has recently been expanded and may in due course number forty nations worldwide. Russia is drawing ever closer in terms of cooperation and partnership with China. In this context, the route for Russia’s second natural gas pipeline to China, the ‘Power of Siberia II’ is expected to be finalised early in 2024.

Germany is the most obvious victim of the sabotaging of the NordStream 2 pipeline, with the United Kingdom close behind. Germany’s energy supply has increased in price fourfold and the deindustrialisation of Germany is now in full swing. In Britain prices have risen inexorably due to the self-inflicted loss of Russia’s cheap energy supplies to Europe. Mass discontent is likely to be seen across both Germany and the UK next year. 

2024 is almost certainly going to be a year of momentous political change across Europe and in the USA. Heads of government across Europe appear destined to fall like nine pins. Particular headline grabbing shocks to European elites are likely to be seen in France and Germany in particular. Zelensky, in Ukraine, is very unlikely to be in power by the end of next year. In fact he will be lucky to still be president by mid-summer.

The neoconservatives who have wielded almost unrestrained power in the USA since 9/11 are immune to all factors mitigating against their project to establish full U.S. hegemony worldwide. Their goal has been to gain ‘full spectrum dominance’ from that time to this and no change will be seen in their determination to effect this or in their willingness to use every means possible in pursuit of this goal. However, the increasing, crystal clear perception of their activities will spread to all corners as yet immune to it and resistance to this project will continue to grow.

Toward the end of 2024 we are very likely to see yet another Trump White House unless present trends radically alter. This will bring unpredictable results and will very likely mean yet another bout of rabid Russophobia by the Democratic Party.  It is just possible this time that Trump will make good on his promises to mend relations with Russia however. On the other hand it could have the opposite effect as Trump is always inclined to do what appears best for him at any particular time. Having altruistic principles regarding what may be best for humanity as a whole does not at all appear to be where his interest lies.

The only nation where the political leadership is guaranteed to remain in place in 2024 is in the Russian Federation where rising standards of living and steadily increasing support for Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine will ensure a strong foundation for further progress. Support for Vladimir Putin’s leadership will soar from already very high levels to levels over 90% as it becomes clear that Russia’s goals in Ukraine are being attained.

The Ukrainian regime in Kiev will most likely capitulate to Russia sometime before mid-summer after what appears to be a springtime offensive being planned currently by Russia. The possibility that this offensive will take place earlier than this is also a distinct possibility. We may see it take place as early as January 2024. (The U.S. congress won’t hold a vote on providing more financial assistance to the Kiev regime before January and this may be a factor in deciding when the Russian offensive ought to take place.)

The nations of the global south, or better said, the global majority, are uniting to dedollarize their trade, substituting local currencies in an effort to exit the blackmail the United States has exerted through the petrodollar. 2024 will see this trend extend to ever more nations and talk of a common BRICS currency to rival the U.S. dollar and European euro will be seen to fill the airwaves and headlines once again.

In general, the movement toward a multipolar world will increase in momentum with more and more nations taking their chance to escape western domination to join in union with nations that offer protection against the heavy-handed threats that perennially emerge from the West. Western power will be seen to wane. The Gaza atrocities and massive failure in Ukraine will weigh heavily on the USA and those others whose hands remain bloodied from both these scandalous acts of geopolitical idiocy and cynically brutal aggression. 

The prospect of creating a virtual prison planet monitored 24/7 as contemplated by the western powers since 9/11 after accomplishing the goal of defeating Russia, China and all others the neocons saw as their prime targets, will radically fade. The true facts concerning the behaviour of both Israel and Ukraine will finally, eventually emerge, replacing the massive disinformation campaigns of the past.

The world through observation of all the events which took place in 2023 and which continue in 2024 will be far more aware of geopolitical realities and will recognise ever more clearly which leaders can be trusted and which most certainly cannot. This change for the better, above all other factors will prove the most important one of all going forward. Forward in a dedicated and determined search for a better world, a world without the catastrophic West-fomented wars that have so traumatised our world to the present day.
