Your exquisite analysis points to the fact that when it was given the chance to lead by example, and actually adhere to its stated ideals, the US failed miserably.

If we had taken the advice of people like John Mearsheimer over the past few decades we would have not only avoided a huge amount of death, destruction, pain and suffering we would also be in a much better place today. We would be in a much better position to work cooperatively with everyone on the planet to try to tackle the problems we all face.

This has all been the result of very poor leadership in the US and unfortunately that poor leadership isn’t going to get better anytime soon.

As the BRICS grows and the reality of a new fairer universalist and essentially cooperative world emerges the more extreme and injurious will be the reactions of the West as their dominance weakens and their system of exploitation and accumulation is frustrated. Currently two conflicts articulate the contradictions. calamities and violence that ensue as the Western world struggles to prevent the birth of the rival antagonist system. The trend of military conflict is likely to destroy us all unless the system implodes due to the unmitigated strains put on it by the Resistance Fronts and solidarity of the BRICS.
