FOREIGN POLICY STATEMENTS BY ROBERT FICO'S GOVERNMENT, SLOVAKIA

An assassination attempt was made on Slovakia's prime minister Robert Fico. Below you can find the policies of peace followed by Fico's party SMER, that warmongers in Europe find so objectionable.

WE ARE FOR PEACE, AGAINST WAR AND ITS SUPPORT IN ALL ITS FORMS

We reject the attempt to turn the EU into a war organisation. We joined it as a peace project and it must remain so. We are a party of peace, our priority has always been the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and this is also true of the current war in our neighbourhood. We refuse to feed it and prolong it by the supply of weapons from outside and any attempts to drag our soldiers into it.

Ukraine needs peace, as does Gaza and all other places in the world.

The common defence policy is there for the defence of the EU and its Member States, any aiding and abetting conflicts, especially those that do not immediately concern us and so forces us to reflect on the possibilities of this form of cooperation. We need to rethink and adjust the EU's actions in common defence in a way that benefits both the Union and its citizens. That is why it is particularly important for us to maintain unanimity in decision-making in this sensitive area. Financial resources accumulated in support of Ukraine must be redirected to its post-war reconstruction, not to the purchase of weapons that prolong the conflict.

In the EU's foreign policy, we emphasise a realistic approach and good relations to the entire world. We consider cooperation with the BRICS countries to be important and reject a negative approach to the People's Republic of China, Russia, Cuba or Vietnam. We respect other cultures and we reject the imposition of the European liberal model on other regions of the world that have the right to their own historical path, culture and sovereignty.

Concerning the EU's sanctions policy, it is time for a change. The endless lists of sanctioned entities largely miss the mark and often directly harm the EU. Autonomous EU sanctions must not amount to 'alternative justice' in which politicians destroy a person's existence without a trial.

FOR PEACE IN EUROPE!

1) We want to be the extended arm of Robert Fico's government to counter growing attacks from the Brussels warmongers for seeking peace and refusing to send arms to Ukraine.

2) We will protect sovereignty and national interests. We are ready to fight for Slovakia in the European Parliament and prevent the EU from turning into a superstate by abolishing the veto.

3) We will defend Slovakia and our government from attacks by progressive traitors who lie about their homeland and slander the government of Robert Fico in an attempt to let European technocrats take away our EU funds.

4) SMER - SSD is the only party that can defeat Progressive Slovakia in the Euro elections. Progressivism is an extreme and anti-Slovak ideology that we must defeat.

5) We know European politics. We offer educated and experienced politicians who thoroughly understand the workings and relations of the EU.
