IS THE EMPIRE COMING FOR YOU?
We are living through an unannounced world war where anyone who isn't siding with their empire is increasingly being targeted. What kind of a world might this come to be without freedom of expression?
There is an empire seeking to expand its level of control worldwide. Those who run that empire are quite obviously conspiring to shut down all conversation among those within its sphere of influence which does not conform to the narratives they hold dear.
The net of repression, oppression and censorship thrown by this empire is growing ever wider. Anyone who speak out of line, deigns to question the empire’s motivations or policies and becomes too popular with those who doubt the right of the empire to act as it does, is at risk.
In recent days a well known and highly respected YouTube commentator was sanctioned, apparently for falling foul of certain authorities. His name is Jacques Baud.
(Jacques Baud is a former colonel in Swiss strategic intelligence, a specialist in Eastern European countries and head of doctrine for United Nations peacekeeping operations. He was involved in negotiations with the most senior Russian military and intelligence officials immediately after the fall of the USSR. Within NATO, he participated in programs in Ukraine, notably during the Maidan revolution in 2014.)
It is rapidly becoming clear that those who run the empire are running scared. They quite obviously feel vulnerable to the spread of information which casts them in a bad (and arguably an evil) light. Their answer is to shut down all dissent to their increasingly illegal and totalitarian acts.
George Orwell, in his book ‘1984’ described in detail where such acts of oppression lead. By entering the slippery slope of censoring free speech the empire moves ever closer to presiding over an open air prison. Through satellite surveillance, wire taps, the use of intelligence software and many other means of gathering intelligence about us the empire seeks to enforce obedience to its commands and policy positions. Those who wish to speak their minds providing independent analysis are unwelcome while mass media news outlets can be seen to act almost as official stenographers for state institutions. The BBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, the UK’s Guardian, all now reflect the required narratives and geopolitical agendas of the empire.
How long might it be before the empire takes its regime of punishing independent views expressed by free individuals down to street level? When this occurs we then have the complete nightmare envisioned in Orwell’s book of ‘Big Brother’, always observing you and checking that your views, acts and associations are in line with the empire’s requirements.
Jacques Baud is the latest well known target for the empire’s wrath and subsequent punishment. In recent times other attempts to close individuals down, put them into a state of fear and make them stop discussing topics inconvenient to the empire have been made. Scott Ritter, is a case in point. His home was raided in recent times by the FBI and his passport confiscated.
(Scott Ritter is an American former United States Marine Corps intelligence officer, former United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) weapons inspector, author, and commentator. Ritter was a junior military analyst during Operation Desert Storm. He served as a member of UNSCOM overseeing the disarmament of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq from 1991 to 1998, from which he resigned in protest. Later he became a critic of the Iraq War and United States foreign policy in the Middle East.)
We know which empire is doing this and why. It is the empire of the West, the empire of the collective west (including Australia, New Zealand and others within the general orbit of obedience to the USA, UK and EU). To shore up the boundaries of the empire in order to expand them to all the nations of the globe those who run it are treating those who criticize it as ‘enemies within’. If they are allowed to get away with shutting down free speech in the way they are doing now where will their efforts to control our thought processes end? Once repression starts and the human rights abuses and associated criminality involved begin the potential end lies in the ultimate restriction to all rights within a prison planet.
All those who value their freedom to express themselves without fear or favor must speak now... or potentially forever hold their peace.
‘First They Came’ is the poetic form of a 1946 post-war confessional prose piece by the German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984). It indirectly condemns complicity of German intellectuals and clergy following the Nazis’ rise to power and subsequent incremental purging of their chosen targets. Many variations and adaptations in the spirit of the original have been published in the English language.
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me.

It is outrageous and unbelievable what is being done to people who have the courage and integrity to speak their mind. A bunch of unelected bureaucrats are dictating to people in Europe what they are allowed to think and say. How low and disgraceful it is to use their usurped power to go after people like Jacques Baud, Glenn Diesen, Scott Ritter, who are much more knowledgeable, principled and honest than they are
