LIBERAL TOTALITARIANISM, CENSORSHIP & THE CANCEL CULTURE
You are not supposed to think now, nor question. You are to give assent & act out your aggression, contempt & vilification toward those who insist on thinking & questioning issues you have given your complete assent to.
All you are allowed to think about are means to weaken, neutralize or destroy the arguments of those who deign to think or question the issues you agree upon implicitly.
These are totem issues that brook no doubters, no questioners, these are issues upon which complete obedience to command from the liberal elite is demanded. If you do not comply you are immediately an enemy of that strictly bounded liberal state of mind.
It is akin to the state of mind of the most fervent exemplars of muscular women's liberation in its earliest days. At that time you had activists at the most extreme end of the issue calling men ‘the enemy’; almost an enemy to be physically attacked, not only in words. These were rightly regarded as extremists at the time. However, today we can see a similar extreme in regard to those who believe there are areas of concern that require inspection within totem liberal issues.
The cases of Joe Rogan and JK Rowling have been two of the most public expressions within liberal elites, the down-the-nose condemnation of alternate viewpoints to theirs. The well-heeled liberal class and those fully signed-up activists aligned with them have eschewed the prerogative to think independently and have now focused primarily on destroying a source of journalism that threatens their pay-check. To think and question is not something they relish while paying obedient attention only to what will keep them read and others ignored. Due to the perceived “all important” issues that liberals feel are at the forefront of today’s culture war others who they see as mere distractions must be canceled at all costs.
The Democratic Party of the USA and the Corbyn-eliminated Labour Party of the UK exemplify the way the liberal class have inhibited the ability of many to question western elites, their motivation, policies and acts of war. They have rendered those who believe in thoughtful analysis and debate as impotent as possible through undermining them in every way they can devise. Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn were both neutralized by people who believe the control of the administrative functions of their parties is their most important task. They have insured they will be in control whether they win or lose and that’s what’s most important to them of all. All else is of much lesser importance to them, including the well being of their respective populations.
These liberals (in the case of the U.S. ) and establishment-friendly political elites (in the UK) find progressive viewpoints that question the status quo highly dangerous. They have worked increasingly in recent times to neutralize their effect, weaken them wherever and whenever possible and if possible eliminate them and their inconvenient views altogether. This is clearly a project with totalitarian roots, a project that can be seen most obviously in the type of “news” and “debate” that occurs within the mainstream in both the USA and UK and indeed generally in those nations broadly allied with them.
This is why Russia Today (RT) and the plethora of crowdfunded channels across YouTube are regarded as a primary enemy of the liberal and established political elites. They deign to cast light upon issues that these elites have labeled no-go areas that should never be thought about, discussed or debated. Such issues as whether western elites have the right to intervene violently in nations that have not attacked them in any way and whether regime change wars by the West are truly idealistic efforts to make the world safe for freedom and democracy or simply arise from self-interest, a desire for greater control, manipulative ability and wider imperial reach.
There are a multitude of issues; regarding the wealth gap, the power of lobbyists, the 1%, the military industrial complex and much, much more.
The place where liberal totalitarianism can be seen in its most naked for however, is in the USA. For U.S. liberals there exists is need to constantly push toward an unquestioning totalitarian agreement on state-sanctioned issues and narratives.
It is beyond ironic that the Democratic Party, once the standard bearer of the anti-war sentiment has now become the primary supporter of regime change and the continuance of that policy at all costs.
The “liberals” are now essentially the standard bearers of indoctrination, the upholders of the status quo of an exceptional America that should proactively strike at all her foes and in that endeavor be compelled to believe everything told them by the FBI, CIA and all the intelligence agencies with a stake in creating maximum levels of fear. Liberal mainstream media in the USA is right in line with the goals and tenets of neoconservative belief, those goals and policies which maximize U.S. power and profit.
The Republican Party by default has become ever closer in its policies and belief-systems to libertarians whose leanings are strongly against the kind of totalitarianism of thought that the liberals are now tending to represent.
Joe Biden will inevitably reinforce the trend of the war mode mentality that seeks to disable the provision of nuance as this can only “help the enemy”. We exist in a geopolitical environment where unannounced wars are being waged. The right to viewpoints and platforms that look at both sides of questions that have already been elite-decided will be terminated if certain people have their way. Biden will seek an absolute division between the so-called “Free World” and the rest… including all those who deign to question that purported status.
No questioning is to be allowed if it can possibly be stifled. Western supremacy will now be renewed with none of the Trumpist criticism of NATO or any other aspect where unity of purpose is required and so, demanded. All warring under another guise will have inherent impunity and like the days following 9/11 all questioning will be met with the same totalitarian response as that of George W. Bush back then:
“You are either with us or you are against us.”
No questioning. No doubts. Only obedience to the required narrative is permissible.
Don’t think.
Accept. And obey.
These will be the liberal commands seen increasingly now.
En route to full liberal totalitarianism.
