“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

This EU leader is a rare voice of sanity when it comes to Russia.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico talks sense to a deranged West addicted to ‘collective solipsism’.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has done something very normal that in today’s West is highly unusual – Fico said that when a war ends, actual peace should follow.
This sensational idea is the essence of his statement, made at a press conference in Bratislava, that if the Ukraine War “ends during the [2023-2027] mandate of this government,” he will do “everything possible for the renewal of economic and normal relations with Russia.”
What an outrageously reasonable idea! Especially for the leader of a small state that belongs to both the EU and NATO. And all the more so as he is heading to a meeting with the Ukrainian leadership to discuss how to continue the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine so that the Slovak economy does not go the way of Germany’s – a slow, then increasingly rapid collapse by energy strangulation at the hands of Washington and Kiev.
Fico made the remarks about re-establishing normality with Russia – which would go far toward re-establishing normality in Europe in general – at a press conference on his government’s new tax policies, namely increases. They are needed, Fico argues, to lower a fiscal deficit that has grown bad enough to lead to a downgrade by Fitch International at the end of last year due to what the ratings agency called a “deterioration in public finances and an unclear consolidation path.”
In other words, like all other EU countries, Slovakia is struggling with economic problems. Its government seeks to tackle them by deficit reduction; the opposition does its part and disagrees. So far, nothing unusual. But there is something that is very unusual in the Slovak case – namely, the clearsighted and open acknowledgement of two facts by the leader.

First, that Slovakia has no good reason to make its problems worse by giving up on comparatively inexpensive energy from Russia, whether in the shape of oil or gas. Never mind that the EU exerts, in Fico’s words, “huge pressure” to bend Slovakia to its will. Indeed, as Fico has correctly pointed out, grand gestures of cutting yourself off from Russian energy tend to end up with buying it anyhow, only at a higher price and via middlemen.
And secondly, that the eventual end of the Ukraine conflict should lead to a rapid re-establishment of normal commercial and political relations with Russia.
Unfortunately, there as well, the Slovak leadership is a lonely voice; the only comparably sane positions on these questions are to be found in Hungary. It is true that there are more and more voices among yesterday’s ultra-hardliners in the West who are beginning to strike a different, more timid tone now that Moscow is winning the war against both Ukraine and NATO.
Germany’s Olaf Scholz is begging for a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is slowly dawning on NATO’s former figurehead, Jens Stoltenberg, that Ukraine will lose territory; and France’s Emmanuel Macron is becoming gloomy about the potential ‘end’ of the EU.
But unfortunately, there are enough obstinate hardliners left, and even those who are beginning to get cold feet are still nurturing delusions such as a territorially (and otherwise) reduced Ukraine inside NATO.
Even if and when the EU finally learns its lesson, things will not be easy at all. Though Fico could hardly be expected to say anything to the contrary, there is one part of his statement that is not quite as realistic as the rest – that the “European Union needs Russia, and Russia needs the European Union.”
In principle, yes – as neighbors, the EU and Russia should derive great mutual advantages from stable and persistent cooperation. But in reality, as shaped by Western economic warfare via sanctions, Russia has ever less interest in the EU, for two reasons: The EU has revealed itself as knowing no limits, not even of elementary self-interest, in its obedience to the ongoing US attempts to degrade Russia; from Moscow’s perspective, it is an entirely unreliable actor since it does not even act rationally.
Second, in response to the sanctions attack, Russia has succeeded in re-casting and re-orienting its economy in a manner that makes the EU much less important for it. None of this means that there is no potential for future cooperation. But it won’t be the same as in the past, it won’t be symmetrical, and Russia will emerge with a stronger position than the EU which it will not hesitate to use.

Fico is to be commended for his good sense and the persistent courage to speak it, especially in view of the fact that he barely survived an assassination attempt by a deranged Ukraine fan, who may or may not have been just that – a crazed loner. The Slovak leader is not giving up and he should not. Yet he is up against something extraordinarily resistant to reasonable arguments – a form of mass delusion among the West’s elites.
The real problem is that so many Western leaders have not simply lost their connection to reality – they are proud of having proactively abandoned it. That’s why, in the final analysis, their obstinate refusal to give up on misguided wishful thinking is not really even about Russia. They are in rebellion against having to heed facts as such, and what annoys them most about the Russian leadership is its insistence on living in the real world.
Think of this Western syndrome as the real-life equivalent of something Orwell foresaw in his novel ‘1984’, which is all too often misunderstood as a silly Cold War pamphlet. In his drab, imaginary future, which is at least as much about the abyss of human hubris as about politics, the ruling elites practice what one of them describes as “collective solipsism.” If we all believe we are levitating, then we are levitating. Gravity be damned. That is as concise a description of the state of mind that prevails in Washington, Brussels, and London as we will get.
This EU leader is a rare voice of sanity when it comes to Russia.

EU state’s PM pledges to restore relations with Russia.
The bloc needs Moscow and vice versa, Slovakia’s Robert Fico has said.
Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico has vowed to do everything he can to restore relations with Moscow once the fighting between Russia and Ukraine ends.
Since returning to power last year, Fico has stopped weapons deliveries from Bratislava to Kiev, and has consistently called for a diplomatic solution to the conflict. In May, the 60-year-old survived an assassination attempt, when a pro-Ukrainian activist fired several shots at him. Though seriously injured, the prime minister recovered and was back at work within two months.
"If the war ends during the mandate of this government, I will do everything to restore economic and standard relations with Russia,” Fico stated during a press conference on Thursday. His government is set to lead the country until 2027.
The prime minister explained that he would do so because “the EU needs Russia, and Russia needs the EU, of course.”
At the same time, he said Slovakia would also “care very much about friendly relations with Ukraine.” Fico’s statements were made ahead of a meeting between the Slovak and Ukrainian governments next week.

He reiterated his stance that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine does not have a military solution.
"It is proven by the words of many politicians, who are already talking about compromises, that Ukraine should prepare for some sort of compromise,” he said.
According to the prime minister, one of those politicians is Czech Republic President Petr Pavel.
Pavel, who used to be a staunch supporter of Ukraine and advocated for the West to provide even more arms and ammunition to Kiev, told the New York Times last month that “the most probable outcome of the war will be that a part of Ukrainian territory will be under Russian occupation, temporarily.” He also said Ukraine should be “realistic about the support that they can achieve” from its foreign backers.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that the current difficulties in relations between Moscow and the EU could have been solved if the bloc’s leaders had “felt more confident and had more courage to defend their national interests.”
A month later, Putin described the state of relations between Russia and the EU as being “at its lowest point.”

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

THE WEST WILL SOON LEAVE UKRAINE IN A SHORT-LIVED UPROAR OF ANGST & RECRIMINATION
The end of the Ukraine war is approaching and with it will come all manner of finger-pointing, blame-gaming and of course... a waterfall of lies.
As the conflict in Ukraine is ever more clearly seen to result in a Russian victory over all the West could throw at it, western elites are already preparing their excuses, and ultimately, their most convincing lies. In the media goldfish bowl of the West this litany of distortion will blunt most of the shock and outrage expressed. Having got away with the deaths of hundreds of thousands across their previous wars of choice in recent times they know how to perform this trick.
We will be told (as western audiences were after the debacle of the Vietnam war) that we would have won if only we had done this, that or the other. Or if this, that or the other had been done right, or at the right time in the right place. This barrage of obfuscation will no doubt largely dispense enough media fog to blur the edges of the Ukrainian debacle. Naturally there will be no question of anyone owning up to any guilt over the matter. Perhaps a little bit of blame-gaming will take place however.
Joe Biden appears to be the most likely prospective fall guy. If only he had provided Ukraine with more earlier in the conflict. If only he had allowed NATO to fire missiles deep into Russia (saying all the while of course that the Ukrainians did it). If only he had not been so timorous but had been willing to risk nuclear war. (Of course those criticizing him won’t mention this latter factor, only that Russia should have been hit hard regardless of all such unnamed potentialities. The statements made will emphasize as many half-truths as possible in as convincing a style as possible. Ah, if only…
The armchair generals of the media along with the serried ranks of online know-it-alls will be out in force. This should have been done. That should have been done. He’s to blame… no he is… perhaps him. Zelensky will get his share of brickbats of course though most ire will be directed at Biden for his pusillanimous, mouse-like temerity. Those somewhat in the know however, will point to Zelensky having far more interest in preserving himself than the Ukrainian people or nations. Mortally afraid of the vicious and unforgiving nature of Ukraine’s ultranationalists he knew he had to keep talking up victory and maintaining an utterly useless resistance, pouring ever more poor Ukrainian souls into the Russian meat grinder. All for self-preservation.
No doubt Zelensky was right about the various ultranationalist brigades such as AZOV. They, in their terminally nationalistic fervor and utterly delusional mania to fight to the very last, would have taken it exceedingly badly if Zelensky had thrown in the towel at any point. They would certainly, as it is said, have had his guts for garters if he had shown the slightest sign of wavering. So, hundreds of thousands of hapless Ukrainians essentially had to die to keep one man alive. This is the sorriest and most disreputable part of the entire lamentable saga. But without doubt, having taken the thing right to its bitter end with the Russians at the gate Zelensky will seize his moment and pop off to some villa in a secluded spot around the world to write his best selling memoirs.
So it will end. In fierce acrimony with vitriol spilled in momentous quantities. The blaming, shaming and regret will fill the headlines and political statements for a while, several days in fact, perhaps a week. Then radio silence will descend. As it has with Afghanistan. As it has with Iraq. And Syria. And Libya. So it will be with Ukraine. The Ukrainians will be left to stew in the poisonous juices left as yet another western proxy war dies. Left in penury with just a few empty promises of western state aid for rebuilding in their ears and some offers of slave wages from various western conglomerates who will hover like vultures seeking lower expenses and higher profits. A nation that showed much promise in the years before the western elites decided it needed to be assisted to destroy itself.
