A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.

Russia defends traditional values the West is abandoning – Dugin to Carlson.
The Western world has abandoned classical liberalism in favor of a new version defined by the rule of minorities and woke-ism, the Russian philosopher explained.
The ever-growing anti-Russia sentiment in the West stems from the fact that Russia adheres to traditional values that Western “progressives” are trying to destroy, philosopher and political commentator Aleksandr Dugin said in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson that was posted on the latter’s YouTube channel on Monday.
During the interview, Dugin laid out his view of the contemporary Western world and what he sees as the historical origins of its current ideology. He explained that the West has moved from “classical liberalism” – which professed individual freedom and democracy as understood as the rule of the majority – to a “new liberalism” defined by the rule of minorities and woke-ism. Rather than emphasising freedom of the individual, the new incarnation of liberalism prescribes adherence to certain progressive values that are completely at odds with traditional values and in fact seeks to abolish them.
Carlson asked Dugin why many Westerners, even those who previously supported the Soviet Union, turned against Russia when President Vladimir Putin came to power in the early 2000s and started professing Russophobic ideas. The philosopher said that “Putin is a traditional leader” who defends traditional values, which run counter to those currently in vogue in the West.
“When [Putin] came to power, from the very beginning, he started to extract Russia from global influence. He started to contradict the global progressive agenda… tried with success to restore traditional values – sovereignty of the state, Christianity, traditional family,” he said, explaining that Western progressives saw these developments as being in opposition to their values.
This hatred is not something casual… it’s metaphysical. If your main task and main goal is to destroy traditional values – traditional family, traditional state, traditional relations, traditional beliefs – and someone with a nuclear weapon… stands strong defending traditional values you are going to abolish – they have some basis for this Russophobia and hatred for Putin.
In 2022, Dugin’s daughter Darya was killed in a car bombing in Moscow, which the Russian authorities claim was orchestrated by Ukrainian agents, a version also expressed by the US government. Darya, a journalist and political activist in her own right, was a vocal supporter of Russia’s military operation against Kiev.
Russophobic sentiment has been growing exponentially in light of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the outbreak of which in 2022 the West has blamed squarely on Russia. NATO has branded Russia the “most significant and direct threat” to its members’ peace and security, and many Western leaders have claimed that Moscow would attack Europe if it secures victory in Ukraine.

Russia has repeatedly said it has no such plans, with Putin last month dismissing such claims as “nonsense.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pesko.

Breakthrough at Semyonovka Gives Russia Chance to Encircle Crumbling Ukrainian Lines.
The Russian military has driven Ukraine’s NATO-armed and trained troops back over 400 square kilometers so far this year, with the advance made possible through a series of powerful blows in the winter and early spring forcing Ukrainian troops to abandon their heavily fortified positions in the western and northern suburbs of the city of Donetsk.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that troops from Battlegroup Center has completed the liberation of the settlement of Semyonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, about 7 km northwest of Avdeyevka and about 15 km northwest of the city of Donetsk.
The operation, part of a broader advance against Ukrainian and foreign mercenary forces in areas including Novoaleksandrovka, Arkhangelskoye, Tarasovka and Zavetnoye, has sparked a mild panic in Kiev and Washington, with former presidential advisor Oleg Soskin blaming Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky for the “enormous deterioration” at the front, and suggesting that since his appointment in February, “all the time, almost every day, settlements are being surrendered one by one.”
“We need to freeze the situation. We need a ceasefire, because there can be no offensive, no return to the 1991 borders, in general the line cannot be held,” Soskin warned.
American ‘newspaper of record’ the New York Times shared in the dour assessment, running a story entitled “Ukraine Retreats From Villages on Eastern Front as It Awaits US Aid,” and citing Syrsky’s complaints about his forces being outgunned and the situation at the front “worsening” as Russia “attempt[s] to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line.”
Syrsky confirmed that the fighting around villages north and west of Donetsk constitutes the “most difficult situation” across the 1,000 km front, with the Ukrainian retreat from Semyonovka, as well as the nearby village of Berdichi, signaling a breakthrough past the defensive lines set up west of Avdeyevka after the town’s liberation by Russian forces in February.
On Tuesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian forces had attempted nine counterattacks against Battlegroup Center troops, including outside Semyenovka, but that all of these had been repelled, with Ukrainian forces suffering 145 troops killed, three lost Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, two other vehicles, a 155 mm M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer, and a 105mm M101 light howitzer.
“The capture of Semyonovka is a great victory for Battlegroup Center,” veteran Russian military observer Evgeny Mikhailov told Sputnik, explaining that the operation to liberate the DPR settlement not only opens up opportunities to encircle Ukrainian forces across a broad area, but to build on momentum to force enemy lines to crumble.
“Beyond this, great prospects are opening up. Firstly, the encirclement of Ukrainian forces in the Berdichi area. From there the road opens, and an opportunity appears to encircle and defeat the Ukrainian troops that have accumulated in large concentrations in the areas of Selidovo and Pokrovsk. And further on is the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration,” Mikhailov said.
Syrsky and company apparently did not expect such a speedy capture of Semyonovka, the observer believes, suggesting that the pace of the operations indicates that Ukraine’s forces were unable to create a strong second fortified defensive line west of Avdeyevka.
“The Russian military is now capturing important strategic objects virtually daily which Ukrainian forces did not have time to prepare to defend. In general, big victories await us in the near future, let’s put it this way,” Mikhailov said.
Based on the pace of the Russian advance, Mikhailov says it’s difficult to estimate where Ukraine’s defensive lines in the Donbass will end up.
“They wanted, but did not have the time to build up a decent line of defense, and did not expect such a quick offensive and breakthrough by the Russian Army. Berdichi will fall, and everything else will start crumbling…I think it’s unlikely that they will have the time to properly concentrate their forces in this direction. Moreover, even those forces that are now being deployed there are more or less elite units, sent to try to hold back the advance of Russian forces. But this is of little use, because in principle, we have an advantage in firepower, a tactical advantage, and the fighting spirit of our units is much higher. Accordingly, I doubt that any line of defense can be created until we reach areas with powerful defensive structures. This includes near Slavyansk and near Kramatorsk. [Otherwise], what already exists elsewhere will of course be able to hold back our forces in some areas, but not very powerfully. That is, we are seeing that the front is crumbling, and I think it makes no sense to talk about a serious line of defense.”
Mikhailov expects the Russian strategy of breaking through heavily fortified Ukrainian lines to continue along the established pattern – approaching enemy forces from the flanks, encircling them, dropping KAB and FAB heavy bombs on their positions, using artillery and aviation and then approaching with assault groups, cutting off supplies.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked US President Joe Biden to stop the International Criminal Court (ICC) from pursuing him and several other top-ranking Israeli officials, news publisher Axios has claimed. Several media outlets reported last week that the court could charge the Israeli leadership with war crimes over the ongoing military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.
Israel launched its massive offensive following the deadly October 7 incursion by the radical group’s militants, which claimed the lives of an estimated 1,200 Israelis, mostly civilians.
In recent months, the severe response by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the densely populated Palestinian enclave have come under increasing scrutiny and have been broadly criticised – even by the country’s US and European allies.
According to Gaza authorities, Israeli strikes have killed more than 34,000 people, mostly civilians. In January, the United Nation’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a ruling, saying it was “plausible” that Israeli forces had committed acts of genocide in the enclave.

In its article on Monday, Axios, citing two anonymous Israeli officials, claimed that Netanyahu had phoned Biden on Sunday, asking him to wield Washington’s clout and prevent the ICC from issuing arrest warrants.
NBC News, citing an unnamed Israeli official, also claimed on Monday that the ICC could charge Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and unnamed senior military officers, along with the prime minister.
The US network quoted its source as saying that “Israel is working through diplomatic channels to try to stop the warrants being issued.” The ICC did not confirm or deny the report, telling reporters that it “has an ongoing independent investigation in relation to the situation in the State of Palestine.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted on Friday that Israel “will never accept any attempt by the ICC to undermine its inherent right of self-defence.” “The threat to seize the soldiers and officials of the Middle East’s only democracy and the world’s only Jewish state is outrageous. We will not bow to it,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Launched in 2021, the ICC’s investigation focuses on alleged war crimes committed by the Israeli military and Palestinian militant groups in the West Bank and Gaza since 2014, when Israel fought a month-long war against Hamas.
Israel is not a party to the Rome Statute and does not recognise the ICC’s jurisdiction. However, should a warrant in Netanyahu’s name be issued, his travel could be restricted, as the 124 countries that recognise the court may consider themselves obliged to arrest him.

Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

EMBRACING LIES AT RISK OF CAREER DEATH: WITHIN THE WESTERN ELITE BELIEF BUBBLE
Where has objectivity gone regarding the Ukraine conflict within western political & media elites? How can anyone comprehend the conflict in its entirety when only one side is ever depicted by them?
So much of what is going on among the western political elites is strongly reminiscent of the story about the emperor’s new clothes that no one could see.

You will no doubt be familiar with this story but for those who are not here is a brief synopsis:

Posing as weavers, they offer to supply him with magnificent clothes that are invisible to those who are incompetent or stupid. A succession of officials, starting with the emperor's wise and competent minister, and then ending with the emperor himself, visit them to check their progress. Each sees that the looms are empty but pretends otherwise to avoid being thought a fool.
Finally, the weavers report that the emperor's suit is finished. They mime dressing him and he sets off in a procession before the whole city. The townsfolk uncomfortably go along with the pretense, not wanting to appear inept or stupid, until a child blurts out that the emperor is wearing nothing at all. Within the western elite belief bubble there are certain narratives that cannot be contradicted. Anyone even mildly suggesting that these narratives may be wrong or who even gives the slightest impression that perhaps, just maybe they are not completely correct, will certainly be marked down as a danger to the unity considered essential on the issue in question.
Currently, and for over a decade now, the primary issue where absolute unity is demanded of all western elites, both political and media, is Ukraine. The narratives suiting western national interests were agreed long before the current crisis in Ukraine. These narratives will be defended to the end. Any contradictory facts will be kept outside of the belief bubble that every western official keeps in his or her head. Group thought discipline is maintained at all times on pain of if not death then career death at least. If an official in the West at any level mouths any fact not within the agreed narrative that official has no future within the western elite superstructure.
Add to this situation regarding the maintenance of certain “facts” as self-evident and beyond contradiction we have the ‘War Mode’ discipline which also has a history in the West going back to Vladimir Putin’s address in Munich in February of 2007. War Mode stipulates that ‘the enemy’ is to be attacked using every device possible, that nothing even remotely positive shall be said concerning the enemy and that he, she or it will be subject to a diplomacy-free exclusion until destroyed or defeated. The group thought agreement that prevails now in relation to all of the above is evident in every speech made in the West on Russia or Ukraine and in every article printed and published by western legacy media or broadcast via the major TV/video news broadcasters.
Those who attempt to point out the situation above, if identified, will find themselves talked of in the most pejorative terms as the puppets of ‘the enemy’, as the spreaders of misinformation and fake news. Such people or organisations, if their profile reaches a certain level will be subject to attacks attempting to shut them up or at least degrade their ability to reach a wider audience. If the person or organisation becomes so popular that western state officials feel there is a tangible threat to their narratives then an extra level of attack will be mounted incorporating western intelligence agencies using PsyOps (Psychological Operations).
These ‘emperors’ speak of a fixed “reality”, one that they repeat at regular intervals in the hope of making an indelible impression in the minds of their ‘subjects’. In these “realities” emerging directly from within the western elite ‘belief bubble’ Russia made a wholly unprovoked attack upon Ukraine negating all evidence to the contrary stretching back to at least 2014. For them NATO is a wholly benign defensive organisation that wouldn’t hurt a fly, totally ignoring the violence perpetrated by NATO on Serbia and Libya and its use as the primary western weapon against the Soviet Union during the Cold War. They will state unequivocally and quite shamefacedly that Ukraine is a democratic state while maintaining blinkers firmly in place regarding the acts of despotism and dictatorship that have characterised the Ukrainian state in recent times.
Unfortunately for the ‘emperors’ of the West the populace who they look to for support in promulgating the ‘facts’ within the western belief bubble on Ukraine are, in increasing numbers, unconvinced. They smell a rat. Too many actual facts have leaked out from Ukraine over the last two years and more. Too many expert analysts have found ways to contradict and expose the agreed upon narrative fabrications of western state officials. These analysts have no dog in the race except to provide an accurate assessment regarding the genesis of the conflict in Ukraine and the situation there as it continues to unfold. They are far more likely to be trusted than the western officials and the various media productions that maintain an unchanging prejudice regarding one side and a ceaselessly positive treatment of the other.
