A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.

Ukraine has the right to defend itself, a bloc representative said when asked about Kiev’s attacks on Belgorod.
Kiev has the right to defend itself against Moscow, EU spokesman on foreign affairs Peter Stano has told TASS. The Russian news agency contacted Stano for a comment on recent attacks on the Russian city of Belgorod which resulted in over two dozen civilian casualties.
The official largely evaded the agency’s question about the bloc’s stance on the Belgorod attacks; Kiev reportedly used weaponry supplied and paid for under the so-called European Peace Facility, a war chest fund used almost exclusively to bankroll the Ukrainian conflict.
“In general, Ukraine has the legal right to defend itself from… aggression,” Stano told TASS on Wednesday.
“Regarding the specific incident in Belgorod, no information that comes from Russia can be considered trustworthy,” the spokesman added, accusing Moscow of “constant lies, manipulation and propaganda.”
The remarks provoked a sarcastic reaction from Stano’s Russian counterpart, Maria Zakharova, who suggested that the official’s take on the Belgorod attacks was actually a perfect illustration of the so-called “rules-based world order” propagated by the West.
“Western countries have legalized lawlessness and come up with a name for it – the ‘rules-based world order,’” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman told TASS when reached for comment about Stano’s take on Belgorod.
Belgorod Region, like other Russian federal subjects bordering Ukraine, has repeatedly been subject to drone, missile, and artillery attacks amid the ongoing conflict. The strikes have repeatedly inflicted material damage and caused civilian casualties in the affected regions.
The attacks on the border regions have intensified in recent days, with the deadliest one occurring last Saturday, when the city of Belgorod was hit by heavy multiple rocket launchers. The attack caused widespread destruction across the city; multiple public facilities and residential buildings were damaged. The strikes claimed the lives of at least 25 civilians, including five children, while more than 100 were wounded, according to local authorities.
Ukrainian forces have continued their efforts to strike the city over the past few days, with the Russian troops intercepting multiple incoming projectiles. Earlier on Wednesday, the Russian military said it had shot down multiple Tochka-U tactical ballistic missiles and Olkha rockets heading for the region.

Viktor Medvedchuk claims the Ukrainian president has relied on amateurs, overestimated Western aid, and exploited Nazi ideology.
President Vladimir Zelensky has made three “fatal” mistakes that will likely cause his downfall, exiled Ukrainian opposition leader Viktor Medvedchuk has sugested. The former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, accused Zelensky of filling the government with non-professionals, failing to reasonably assess resources at his disposal, and using Nazi ideology to mask his missteps.
In an opinion piece published on the Drugaya Ukraina (The Other Ukraine) movement’s website on Wednesday, Medvedchuk argued that it is becoming evident that Zelensky’s days as a politician are numbered.
The opposition leader – now in exile in Russia – accused Zelensky of mistaking politics for show business, and assuming the rules of the latter apply to the former. Before becoming president, Zelensky had been a a professional entertainer and comedian.
According to Medvedchuk, Zelensky has appointed amateurs to key government offices and has rotated officials as if in a “reality show.” The opposition politician said that decisions to put certain people in charge of the country have mostly been rooted in a desire to attract positive publicity rather than merit.
This was Zelensky’s first mistake, which has “undermined the foundations of statehood,” Medvedchuk argued.
The second was the president’s embrace of “Nazi ideology” in a bid to disguise his government’s own failures, the former MP continued. He alleged that it was the “Western puppet masters” that suggested the idea to Zelensky, who was seeking to create an image of an enemy.
Last but not least, according to Medvedchuk, the Ukrainian president has overestimated the extent to which the West is prepared to support him. Zelensky has “gambled away Ukraine, gambled away its economy, statehood; gambled away hundreds of thousands of ordinary Ukrainians’ lives.”
Medvedchuk, concluded that the “day of reckoning is approaching” for Zelensky, with Ukrainian political forces already scrambling to disown the president.
Last month, the opposition figure blamed Zelensky for weakening Kiev’s negotiating position in any future talks with Moscow.
In 2021, Ukrainian prosecutors filed criminal charges of high treason against Medvedchuk over his alleged collaboration with Russia. He advocated reconciliation with Moscow, arguing that confrontation would be disastrous to Ukraine. Authorities in Kiev also branded his party – the second largest in the country – illegal, along with a dozen other opposition groups.
He had spent several months in detention before being handed over to Moscow as part of a major prisoner swap deal in September last year.

Netanyahu’s approval rating had been dropping throughout 2023, even before the October 7 Hamas attack; however, since the surprise attack, he has shed nearly half of his remaining support.
The vast majority of Israelis want Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu out of office once the Palestine-Israel conflict is over. A new poll in Israeli media found that only 15% of Israelis continue to support the politician.
Netanyahu has promised to crush Hamas after the Palestinian organization carried out a surprise attack on October 7, resulting in an estimated 1,139 Israeli deaths and - according to Israeli numbers, around 240 individuals being taken hostage.
A retaliatory bombing and invading campaign undertaken by the Netanyahu government has to date killed 22,185 Palestinians, with two-thirds of the slain being women and children. The actions have been heavily criticized by human rights organizations, with many accusing Israel of war crimes, including ethnic cleansing and attempted genocide.
However, the lack of support for Netanyahu has not been reflected in a lack of support for his tactics.
According to a poll from the same institution in December, 56% of Israelis said that continuing the military campaign was the best way to secure the return of the prisoners held by Hamas, while only 24% said a prisoner swap would be preferred.
Even before the campaign, Netanyahu was facing dropping poll numbers among Israelis. Prior to the Hamas attack, widespread protests in Jerusalem, against judicial reforms pushed by Netanyahu were commonplace.
In July, media outlets reported his approval rating had fallen to 38% and estimated that if elections were held then, Netanyahu’s Likud party would lose between four and seven seats in the 120-seat Knesset. By early October, just days before the Hamas attack, Netanyahu's approval rating had dropped to just 28%.
On Sunday, Gantz and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reportedly refused to accompany Netanyahu to a news conference without giving a reason. Netanyahu had canceled a similar meeting earlier that week, and some outlets have speculated that may have been a contributing factor.
The poll from December found that 69% of Israelis want elections to be held as soon as the war is over. The more recent poll found that Benny Gantz, Netanyahu’s chief political opponent and current member of his war cabinet, received the most support from Israelis grabbing 23%. However, more Israelis, 30%, declined to name a preferred leader.
Netanyahu has said that Israel’s campaign will continue for months longer.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.
