“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

Sorry, we want war: Why EU elites will ignore Hungary’s Orban.
The Hungarian leader, who is currently president of the EU Council, is trying to actually make an impact with his term.
By Rachel Marsden, a columnist, political strategist, and host of independently produced talk-shows in French and English.
Hungary, represented by its Prime Minister Viktor Orban, took over the rotating six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union in July 1, and promptly decided to do something unconventional: actual work. So out came the knives.
Back in 2022, the most memorable thing that France’s Emmanuel Macron did while in the role was make a logo for his EU presidency that incorporated his own initials. The benefit to the French and European people was fantastic – as in, it exists in fantasy.
For his EU presidency meeting in France, Macron stood alongside unelected European Commission bureaucracy president “Queen” Ursula von der Leyen, as they championed issues like climate change, digital transition, and the EU military industrial complex (er, the “EU Defence Union”). They were only too happy to serve up typical globalist fare for their fellow elites to gobble down. But these same folks are now gagging on Orban’s chosen agenda: peace.
Orban announced that Hungary’s EU presidency meeting would take place at the end of August in Budapest, addressing thorny global conflicts that present a challenge to the EU. Bloc elites object because peace is supposed to come from taking short showers and sweltering without air conditioning to stick it to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Until now, the establishment figured that it could control Orban, if not through threats of withholding EU funds, then through outright manipulation. Like when, according to Politico, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz managed to get him to dip out of a vote last December on starting EU accession talks for Ukraine by convincing the Hungarian leader that it would result in a win-win. So, while Orban was in the hallway, the other EU leaders rammed through the vote, avoiding his veto, and subsequently celebrating their own manipulated unanimity.
Read more: Trump, Orban, Putin: Why are all the ‘dictators’ hellbent on peace?
But when Orban took over this new EU role, he really dipped out this time, promptly chewing through the leash that the European establishment may have figured they had on him, and proceeded to use it to slingshot himself around the world on a “peace tour” to gather information from all sides of various East-West global conflicts.
He started in Ukraine with a visit to Vladimir Zelensky. Totally cool, totally normal, totally in line with EU establishment groupthink. Also, totally useless in terms of trying to actually resolve the conflict involving Russia and Ukraine’s NATO backers that’s devastating European taxpayers and industry.
Even Zelensky has recently conceded that any real peace talks need to involve Russia. Orban’s shuttle diplomacy in the EU’s name is the closest thing there is right now to that. So then why did all hell break loose in Brussels when Orban, in his new temporary EU leadership role, decided to also go to Moscow to get the lowdown on Russia’s position?
Orban also hit up China, Azerbaijan, the NATO summit in the US, and former (and potential future) US President Donald Trump. He seems to be the only one taking stock of both sides of various global conflicts.
The German press got hold of the letter that Orban sent to Charles Michel – the president of the European Council, to whom Orban is apparently sending notes from his trips. Orban has warned of an intensification of conflict in Ukraine, the need for diplomacy with both Russia and China, and a new approach to the Global South, whose faith the EU has lost amid the fallout from the Ukraine conflict.
He took a bulldozer to their collective safe space, apparently. Because the EU‘s chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, is now eyeing a formal foreign affairs summit at the exact same time as Orban’s own summit, according to Politico. That way, they can completely sidestep the risk of being presented with some actual diplomatic heavy lifting and retreat instead to Borrell’s “trigger-free” EU garden where they can kick back and chill without the risk of being mugged by contradictory views.
Read more: Orban just did some actual diplomacy and the EU panicked
One EU diplomat told Politico that they want to “send a clear signal that Hungary does not speak for the EU.” What even is the EU anymore if not unelected bureaucrats who routinely purport to speak for it and direct its policy? At least Orban is offering a new twist: elected democratic accountability.
But what does the job description say? “The role of the member state holding the presidency is to drive the legislative agenda by chairing Council meetings, ensure good cooperation with the other EU institutions, and ensure continuation of the EU policy agenda,” according to the Chatham House think tank.
Oh, please. Just Google “What is the agenda of the Spanish presidency of the EU” in 2023? Answer: “Boosting the EU’s reindustrialization and strategic autonomy. Advancing the green transition. Achieving greater social and economic justice. Strengthening Europe’s unity.” How about Belgium’s presidency earlier this year? Again, we find the usual talking points, from climate change to unity and promotion of a “global Europe” come up there, too.
By the time this clunky Eurocracy actually figures out what to do about Orban, his six-month tenure may be up. Officials are already suggesting that they don’t have any way of cutting his tenure short. In the meantime, a bunch of top desk-jockey commanders have also joined the pile-on.
“In light of recent developments marking the start of the Hungarian presidency, the president has decided that the European Commission will be represented at senior civil servant level only during informal meetings of the Council,” said Eric Mamer, the spokesman for Queen Ursula’s brave battalion of papercut Purple Heart bureaucrats who run Brussels.
“The College visit to the Presidency will not take place.” Oh no, not a boycott by the “College”! What’s the “College” anyway? It’s really just another group of unelected bureaucrats – the College of the 27 EU commissioners, one handpicked for each EU member state. European Commission… College of EU Commissioners… European Council president… president of the Council of the European Union… It’s almost like all these things are made to sound the same so that the general public gets confused about what’s going on.

“The EU Commission cannot cherry pick institutions and member states it wants to cooperate with,” Hungarian European Affairs Minister Boka Janos said in response to the top bureaucrat boycott of Orban’s meeting. “Are all Commission decisions now based on political considerations?” Well, yeah, that’s how they roll. Their virtue is highly discriminatory in its application. Democracy and diversity – particularly of thought – is defensible only within acceptable limits defined by them.
A group of 63 elected establishment bootlickers also wrote a letter to EU top brass, accusing Orban of speaking for the whole EU on his trips – kind of like Queen Ursula herself, to which even her own staff objected during the Israel-Gaza conflict kickoff.
These elected proponents of tolerance and inclusion are now calling for the suspension of Hungary’s voting rights. It wouldn’t even be the first time. A group of 120 EU lawmakers demanded the same earlier this year because Orban dared to exercise his constitutional right to veto more EU cash for Ukraine, in total accordance with EU rules.
If only these control freaks were as keen to hit the brakes on war as they are on a single man’s efforts to achieve peace, then Europeans would be much better off for it.

Russian Forces Capture Strategic High-Rise Line in Volchansk in Kharkov Region.
Apti Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Defense Ministry and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit, said in early July the Ukrainian Armed Forces had deployed its elite units — including foreign mercenaries — to Volchansk in Kharkov Region.
The Russian army has taken control of the first line of high-rise buildings in Volchansk, Apti Alaudinov said.
"If we are talking about Volchansk itself, where we have direct assault operations by the Defense Ministry units, it should be noted that in recent days the hardest area we have had is the high-rise buildings in Volchansk. The first line of these high-rise buildings is already completely under the control of the units of the Russian Defense Ministry. Every day our units are advancing a little bit," he said.
Volodymyr Zelensky admitted in May that the situation of the Ukrainian forces in the Kharkov region, especially in the border town of Volchansk, was extremely difficult.
According to the head of the Russian administration in the region, Vitaly Ganchev, the military controls the western and northern parts of the city. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces acknowledged the "tactical success" of Russian troops in the direction of Kharkov.

Trump tells Zelensky he’ll end war.
The US presidential candidate has vowed to “bring peace to the world”.
Former US president Donald Trump directly told Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky that he will bring the conflict between Moscow and Kiev to an end - should he return to the White House - during a phone call between the two on Friday.
The Republican candidate for November's presidential election wrote in a post on Truth Social that he “had a very good phone call” with Zelensky, who congratulated him on a “very successful” Republican National Convention and condemned last weekend's “heinous assassination attempt.”
Trump went on to say that he appreciates Zelensky “for reaching out because I, as your next President of the United States, will bring peace to the world and end the war that has cost so many lives and devastated countless innocent families.”
Both sides will be able to come together and negotiate a deal that ends the violence and paves a path forward to prosperity
Zelensky said he had “agreed with President Trump to discuss at a personal meeting what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting.”
“I noted the vital bipartisan and bicameral American support for protecting our nation’s freedom and independence. Ukraine will always be grateful to the United States for its help in strengthening our ability to resist Russian terror,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday night.

Trump said nothing about agreeing to a meeting with Zelensky, and neither he nor Kiev released any further details of the conversation. In 2019, Trump was impeached over a phone call with Zelensky, in which Democrats claimed he tried to get dirt on his rival, Joe Biden, in exchange for military aid.
Speaking to the BBC during a trip to the UK this week, Zelensky reiterated that his government seeks total victory in the conflict with Russia. “We have to finish with him,” he said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
If Trump is reelected president in November, Zelensky expects him to lean on Kiev to end the conflict “in 24 hours,” as he has promised on the campaign trail. Zelensky described a worst-case scenario in which US sanctions are lifted from Russia under Trump and Putin celebrates victory: “We will never go on this, never. And there is no guy in the world who can push us to do it,” he said.

Zelensky’s own five-year presidential term, which he won in a landslide in 2019, expired in late May. He has refused to hold a new election, citing martial law, and reiterated to the BBC his intention to retain power at least until the hostilities end.
Moscow has argued that, under the Ukrainian constitution, the parliament remains legitimate, and presidential authority should have passed to its speaker when Zelensky’s term ended. Putin has also stated that he would order a ceasefire and start negotiations with Ukraine as soon as it pledges not to seek membership in NATO and withdraws its troops from all Russian territories, including the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, and the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye.

The Old World is extremely vulnerable to an American leader who could depart from the liberal Atlantic consensus.
If I wanted to ape the mood of erstwhile Soviet political essays, I’d write something like this: “The loud echo of gunshots in Pennsylvania resounded across the Atlantic…” You can argue about the appropriateness of using a stylebook long consigned to history, but it’s the truth of the matter.
Across the European Union, they‘re in shock at what is happening in the United States. In the past two weeks alone, first the uproar over President Joe Biden’s embarrassment in the debate, and now the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, which has disrupted the entire election campaign and given the Republican a head start.
To be fair, it should be noted that Trump has not yet won the race – the most acute phase of the struggle has yet to come, and it is impossible to predict what might happen. It’s worth remembering the lessons of 2020. In the spring, almost no one doubted the extravagant president would win a second term, but the pandemic messed up everything and cost him the White House. We must assume that Trump and his strategists have not forgotten this experience, and won’t relax. But objectively, the conditions are now favorable.
The EU is at a loss. In the Old World, Trump has been demonized to the maximum extent possible. With the exception of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, no one in the Western European nomenklatura can boast productive contacts with the likely future American capo di tutti i capi. Macron once tried, but without much success. And virtually all of the bloc has joined in a general lament about Trump: God forbid he comes back!
Why is Trump causing such consternation? After all, the four years of his presidency from 2017-2021 didn’t lead to a catastrophe in transatlantic relations. The former property developer’s very peculiar style, to put it mildly, is undoubtedly repugnant to Western Europe’s pompous and snobbish elite, but it’s their job to communicate with all partners. Trump’s demands to rebalance trade and economic relations in favor of the US and to increase military spending have been quietly incorporated into the platform of his arch-rival Biden. Under the Democrat, a blatantly protectionist law has been passed that’s hurt EU interests, and spending on the war in Ukraine has also hit pocketbooks. There seems to be no reason to expect further attacks, Trump is fixated on money issues.
Western Europe’s fears have to do with something else – an uncertainty of a much more general nature. In 2022, the EU bet on America by refusing to take an independent line on the Ukraine conflict. Beyond the rhetoric, NATO’s “unprecedented unity,” in practice, means that the course is set by the strongest member state, both militarily and politically. And the Old World did not do this under pressure from its senior partner, but voluntarily, because it didn’t have – and didn’t want to have – its own position. One can speculate for a long time about what options the Western Europeans had, if any, but it does not matter any more – the decision was made despite the obvious costs.
Scaremongering about Trump 2.0 pulling out of NATO, withdrawing American troops from Europe, or drastically cutting off Ukraine’s oxygen supply is election propaganda. Trump can’t do any of these things, even if he wanted to (which is not the case), including quickly changing his stance in support of Kiev. But a change in the system of priorities is likely, in which the broad European continent may be given a less privileged place. In practice, this means that the EU will be much more on its own. And accordingly, it will have to deal with a number of fundamental problems, including those related to the future of the Ukraine issue. But the bloc and its key countries are not ready for such strategic autonomy.
The Western European line over the past two-and-a-half years has been to prove the collective’s usefulness and necessity to Washington. Not only on the Ukraine issue, but also with regard to other US interests, for example in East Asia and the Pacific Basin as a whole. Hence the fervent desire to transform NATO into a structure with global reach, which was reaffirmed at the summit just held in the American capital.
At the same time, the EU states, especially the Germans and the French, are not enthusiastic about the economic confrontation with China that the US is pushing for. Under Trump, this policy will clearly be strengthened. Western Europe’s ability to defend its economic interests while maintaining a close geopolitical attachment with the US now seems rather limited. But even at the height of the Cold War in the past century, the region’s powers managed to go their own way when they felt some of their economic needs demanded.
The reorientation of the US began almost a quarter of a century ago. The last devoutly Atlanticist president was Bill Clinton; all the others were more or less explicitly oriented towards other goals. The EU, on the other hand, has not used the time to reorient itself towards ‘strategic autonomy’, whatever that may mean. And the Old World is not ready for a US president who could move decisively away from the hitherto set-in-stone liberal-Atlantic consensus, either in form or in substance. But it seems that this president will have to be tolerated, nevertheless.
Fyodor Lukyanov: Trump’s return would be the EU’s worst nightmare.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

WHY IS THE WEST NOW CONSTANTLY PUSHING WAR, NOT PEACE?
You will surely have wondered what is going on, why the world is headed toward an ever-approaching cataclysm of violence. Who is pushing us in this direction and why?
The reason for the question above is quite obvious given a little thought.
All one needs to do is observe which region of the world has dominated the rest for the last several hundred years. Then look at where that region stands now, its condition, prospects and most crucially, those of its rivals.
The successive leaders of the western world over the last several years have held the predominance of power on this planet. They secured for themselves what they thought was an unassailable position over all others. They were the paramount wheelers and dealers, the game changers and elite masters of our world, and thought they always would be and that this was tantamount to God’s will. They came to believe this was how it should be, that anything other than their continual rule would bring disaster.
Feeling you are the guardians of all that is good is a very seductive notion. It brings with it a comfortable notion of being imbued with all rightness, governing in the right and proper way, all justice emanating from yourselves. That your position also brings you the ability to manipulate events, individuals and entire nations to your benefit is regarded as almost an unmentionable factor. To yourselves you are the rightful heirs to the world with an honourable duty to discipline all those in it as you and only you know the right way for all others to live.
The mythologies that are used to justify conceiving western ways to be unquestionably right, superior and exceptional are many. The political, media, social and business elites of the USA, UK and Europe have permeated their societies with the belief that all right conduct, just acts and benevolent distribution of rights emanates solely from them. The West as the crown of creation, all just, all knowing, all wise and rightful provider of all justice is embedded deep within all western thought. Those who have presided over the West for as long as anyone can remember have held these view implicitly and without question and continue to do so to this day.
Therefore, in the light of all of the above, all the locked-in, fixed notions of superiority and all the myriad benefits that accrue from this self-serving status, you can imagine how it feels to know that it is all about to be lost. With the rise of China the western elites saw clearly that their seemingly God-given status of world guardian was about to be drained of all substance and ultimately consigned to the history books, superseded by rising powers that would link themselves to China when in the past it was to them that others gravitated.
This is the core issue which drives the current western leadership to wage war. It is this issue that drives them mad also. Their insane determination to cling on to the power that they believed would ALWAYS be theirs and which they could now see slipping away. The thought of losing both the myths and the reality of their power that those myths support is simply unbearable and anathema to them. They will do, and are doing, everything possible in their power to attack and destroy those who are rising to take all this away from them, that which they feel is there’s as of right.
This is why they attack Orban, Fico and potentially will attack Trump… all those who reject their warmongering stance and who do all they can to find a way to peace. They don’t want peace, peace for them means the end of their reign as the “superior” power in the world. They need war, war and ever more war until they can bring China, Russia and all others who threaten their ability to continue dominating the world. To allow peace is to allow the status quo, a status quo that is inexorably working against them, the new, emerging status quo of ever greater multipolarity.
This is why they put all of us at risk. They appear ready to destroy this world if they cannot control it, use it, dominate it and exploit it as they have been used to and wished always to. For them this is the death of everything yet in reality it is only the death of THEIR influence and the natural rise of others. Blind to the possibility that others may do a much more equitable and peaceful job in cooperating and displaying tolerance for diverse forms of governance they fight tooth and claw to maintain their dominance.
