A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.

Sanctions have made Russian economy stronger – top academic.
The country has essentially ceased to rely on oil and gas exports as a source of income, HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov has said.
Western sanctions imposed on Russia amid the Ukraine conflict have made the country’s economy stronger, Nikita Anisimov, rector of the HSE University in Moscow, has said.
Speaking on behalf of HSE economists at a parliamentary hearing on the draft of the 2025-2027 federal budget on Monday, Anisimov said sanctions have effectively propelled the restructuring of the country’s economy. According to the expert, this has led to Russia “essentially ceasing” its dependence on the export of raw materials such as oil and gas for income – a task the government has been grappling with for years.
“As a result, today, largely due to the situation of external shocks and the rapid restructuring of our economy, we have been able to significantly reduce our dependence on raw materials exports. Thus, we can say that the sanctions have only made our economy stronger and more resilient,” Anisimov stated.
The subject of Russia’s successes in cutting reliance on oil and gas revenues was raised by President Vladimir Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June. He noted that Russian GDP expanded by 3.6% last year, bouncing back from a 1.2% downturn in 2022, when the country was first targeted by the West’s wide-ranging economic restrictions. Most of that growth stemmed from non-resource-based industries such as manufacturing, construction, and agriculture, as well as trade, hospitality, and financial services, Putin said.

Last month, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced that the Russian economy had continued to expand in 2024, with GDP growth in the first half of the year hitting 4.7%. Siluanov said he expected GDP growth at the end of the year to be 3.9%, exceeding the figure for 2023.
Many analysts, both Russian and international, have noted that sanctions have failed to destabilize the country’s economy. Most have attributed this resilience to Russia’s swift pivot to the East for trade, as well as economic policies implemented to offset the effect of the restrictions.
The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund both raised their growth forecasts for the Russian economy earlier this year. The former predicted it to grow by 2.9% in 2024, and in July upgraded Russia to a “high-income country.”

The IMF in April said it expected the country’s GDP to expand by 3.2%, faster than all advanced economies, including the US, the UK, Germany, and France.

Harris comments on ‘talks with Putin’
In an interview with CBS on Monday, Harris was asked whether she would be willing to meet with the Russian leader to achieve peace in the conflict that has lasted nearly three years. “Not bilaterally without Ukraine, no. Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine,” she said.
Pressed on whether she would support fulfilling Ukraine’s longstanding request to join NATO, she did not give a direct answer, saying it was an issue “we will deal with if and when it arrives at that point,” adding “Right now, we are supporting Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s unprovoked aggression.”
Harris went on to take a jab at her Republican rival Donald Trump on the issue, saying that “if he were president, Putin would be sitting in Kiev right now.”

Trump has repeatedly vowed to end the fighting within 24 hours if elected president, even before being sworn into office. While he has provided few details, his running mate J.D. Vance has said that a potential peace deal could involve barring Ukraine from joining NATO and establishing a “demilitarized zone” along the current front line.
Harris, however, dismissed Trump’s promise. “He talks about, oh, he can end it on day one. You know what that is? It’s about surrender,” she said.
The administration of US President Joe Biden, in which Harris now serves as vice president, has publicly adhered to the principle “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has charged that the West is essentially forbidding Kiev from holding talks with Moscow, seeing Ukraine as a useful tool in the standoff with Russia.
In June, Putin said that Russia was ready to immediately declare a ceasefire and start peace negotiations as soon as Ukraine starts withdrawing troops from Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions and ditches its plans to join NATO. Later, however, he ruled out any talks as long as Ukrainian troops are occupying part of Kursk Region as well.

Fearful of the Public, Western Leaders Turn to Censorship.
On Saturday, former US First Lady Hillary Clinton called for increased federal regulation of the internet and repealing Section 230. “If the platforms… don’t moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control,” she said, raising the question of who “we” represents in that statement.
The recent purge of YouTube accounts, including those from Mark Sleboda, Rachel Blevins, Glenn Diesen, DD Geopolitics, Fiorella Isabel, Larry Johnson, and Eva K. Bartlett, it is clear that the Western leaders are scared of their populations finding out the truth about their policies and actions.
“We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people,” Former US President John F. Kennedy.
“That’s what they’re afraid of,” Sleboda, an expert in geopolitical relations and a frequent guest on Sputnik Radio, told The Final Countdown. “They don’t trust you to hear an alternate view from the official US government narrative and come to what they consider the right political conclusions.”
Many Americans were taught that freedom was proof-positive that Western-style democracies were superior to other systems.
Hillary Clinton Says Either Crack Down on Social Media or ‘We Lose Total Control’
In separate interviews, Sleboda and Blevins both said that their channels were taken down without warning or strikes. Both were accused of violating YouTube’s policies on hate speech and said their appeals were denied within minutes.
“Just anyone who is critical of a US foreign policy, of hegemony, has had their YouTube channels deleted,” Sleboda contended.
While the censorship technically came from Alphabet, the mega-monolith tech company that owns both Google and YouTube, a comprehensive program between the US government and large social media companies has slowly been revealed over the past couple of years making the line one without distinction.
“My lawyer called that First Amendment censorship via proxy, or government censorship via proxy,” Political cartoonist and The Final Countdown co-host Ted Rall explained. “The US government has reached out to big tech companies, talked to people like [Meta CEO] Mark Zuckerberg and so on, and said, ‘we want you to control and squish what we call misinformation and disinformation.’”
With the internet practically ubiquitous in modern society, an expansion of the First Amendment to public and private sectors of the internet is needed to protect our speech rights.
“What does the First Amendment actually mean in today’s age when just about everyone is on social media or on the internet in some way, and it has become sort of the new public square?” asked Blevins, an independent journalist, and host of The Backstory on Radio Sputnik. “What are we okay with when it comes to the ongoing censorship? Because I don’t think it’s going away anytime soon.”
Even if the government were removed from the equation, and censorship came exclusively from the tech companies themselves they have become so powerful that acts of self-censorship would be indistinguishable from government-ordered censorship, especially during wartime.

In post-9/11 America, large media companies kept dissenting voices off the air, limiting the reach of those who, for example, opposed the war in Iraq.
“And you get that corporate mentality of what will the advertisers think?” legendary Gonzo journalist Hunter S Thompson argued in an August 2002 interview with Media Report. “A kind of we’re all in this together thinking.” The consolidation of the internet from disparate groups of message boards and newsgroups into a handful of omnipresent tech companies raises that specter again.
“As we saw this weekend, YouTube can come in and just delete your channel and take your life’s work away from you,” decried Blevin, noting that her channel was backed up on the free speech platform Rumble.
The majority of the deleted accounts offered views that opposed the NATO-led proxy war in Ukraine and/or Western support of Israel. As the war drums beat ever louder in Europe, the Middle East, and the South Pacific, not to mention the US Presidential election next month, the crackdown is likely to increase.
“They haven’t really thrown out the term election interference just yet, but I have a feeling that’s coming in some way,” warned Blevins.
“We’ll tell our grandchildren about the golden age of a global internet,” before censorship took it over, predicted Sleboda. “I think we’re going to see our internet fractured into either individual states’ internets or geopolitical block’s internets. And I think the process has already begun,” he warned.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

It has started in earnest. The noisy internet rebels are to be made to obey their superiors and stop expressing themselves. It has become inconvenient.
You will be hearing from a variety of western elites at the moment concerning the evils of free thought and speech. Our desire to have a say is annoying them, especially when they are engaged in a war to maintain their long-held ability to dominate the world that is increasingly under threat.
These elites are panicking. Everything they have, all the power, influence and perks, all their ability to manipulate and shape opinion to suit their needs, all their sacred status and ego-boosting elitism is under threat… from us through social media. Democracy has gone too far and provided us with a say. This doesn’t suit them. It doesn’t suit them one bit.
We were supposed to keep our mouths shut and merely turn up at a voting both once every four years to place an X in a box on a piece of paper then go home content. Leaving everything to them. We were supposed to be satisfied that we had taken part in the holy ritual known as western democracy and then shut ourselves down. However, as we saw what a fuck-up these so-called democratic leaders were making we decided to have our say. This has become inconvenient.
Protesting war has almost become illegal. Speak out about the West’s proclivity for war and you risk being canceled. Waging war or not has been consigned to those who conceive themselves to be our betters, not our representatives. They consider they know best and consider also that it has nothing to do with you or me whether they wage wars on our behalf or not. There’s your “democracy” for you. In reality none at all, only a command from above for you to stop expressing an opinion, it’s nothing to do with you.
This is where our wonderful “democracy” has led us. While we were fed ‘bread and circuses’ to keep us distracted with all intellectual capacities benumbed, those who see themselves as eminently superior to us wished to continue to do whatever they wish to undisturbed. Now that the natives have begun revolting across the internet they want to shut us down. Von der Leyen, Hillary Clinton and the entire rank of new Gestapo agents are now determined that we’ll be silenced and kept in line.
With their war mode mentality, fearing the loss of all their ill-gotten power and influence, they are clearly willing to impose the most draconian systems upon us, gagging us, making us helpless drones to their systematized narrative feeds. Like Assange we are to be silenced. As in Orwell’s ‘1984’ we are to blindly accept the reality they command us to.
War Is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance Is Strength.
And Silence… Is Golden.
