“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

Ukraine's 'Anti-Terrorist Operation' in Donbass Licensed Neo-Nazis' Bloodbath.
10 years ago, the Kiev regime that rode to power in Ukraine as a result of an unconstitutional Western-sponsored coup unleashed a barbarous punitive operation against the residents of Donbass. Russia's special military operation launched in 2022 was intended to put an end to the impunity with which the Kiev junta waged war against its own people.
The start of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” (ATO) in the southeast of Ukraine was announced on April 13, 2014, by then-president of the country, Olexandr Turchinov.
Turchinov had been acting as president since the Euromaidan coup against Viktor Yanukovych until Petro Poroshenko was sworn in as his successor.
In a televised address to the people, he said that Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) had decided to launch a large-scale "anti-terrorist operation" by the armed forces. The purpose of the operation was to quell local counter-protests to the Euromaidan coup in Kiev that had toppled legitimately-elected then-President Viktor Yanukovich in February.
In November 2013, protests broke out in Ukraine due to the government's decision to halt integration with the European Union. The unrest quickly took on a sharply anti-government nature. More than 100 people died in clashes between Ukrainian security forces and demonstrators. Then-president Viktor Yanukovich signed an agreement with the opposition to resolve the political crisis in 2014. But the opposition tore that deal up and seized power by force. After Yanukovich was ousted, a snap presidential election brought Petro Poroshenko to power.
The day after the coup, the new authorities repealed a law granting the Russian language official status in regions where it was native to at least 10 percent of the population. This was met with protests in the east of the country, where the Russian-speaking population predominated, especially in the Donbass.
On April 6, 2014 two key events took place. Fledgling militia forces in Lugansk seized the Ukrainian Security Service building in the city, arming themselves with weapons from its large armory. The same day in neighbouring Donetsk, protesters at a rally took over Donetsk Regional Council building and the regional administration, formally proclaiming the Donetsk People’s Republic.
After residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions — who opposed Euromaidan and did not want to kowtow to the Ukrainian nationalists — held independence referendums, proclaiming the People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, they were branded "enemies" and "terrorists" by the authorities in Kiev.
By licensing the military operation, Kiev’s neo-Nazis began a bloodbath against the people of the country.
Key Events of Donbass War
May 2, 2014, is considered the start of the full-fledged war in Donbass. On that day, Ukrainian forces attempted to storm the city of Slavyansk in Donetsk region, advancing under cover of air support. However, militia members managed to shoot down several helicopters using MANPADs, killing five Ukrainian pilots. After that, Ukraine’s internal troops limited their offensive. The city’s defenders reported that nationalist fighters from the Right Sector**, a neo-Nazi political party and paramilitary group, had taken part in fighting for the city.
Also on May 2 that year, around 50 people were bludgeoned to death and burned alive in the Odessa Trade Union House massacre. Neo-Nazi paramilitary gangs attacked a peaceful rally in Odessa. After some protesters sough shelter in the nearby Trade Union House, pro-Maidan extremists set the building on fire and blocked the exits. People tried to escape the inferno by jumping out of windows, only to be killed by the thugs outside.
On May 6, 2014, the first major confrontation between Donbass militia and Ukrainian nationalist battalions took place in the Azov Sea coast city of Mariupol. Several days later, on May 9, Ukrainian ultra-nationalists and the military killed and persecuted participants celebrating the anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. Armed clashes broke out, with at least 13 people killed in fighting and many more wounded.
On May 26, 2014, the battle began for the Donetsk airport — one of the most important milestones in the struggle of the militias of the newly created DPR against the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalists. The battle raged back and forth for 242 days and ultimately ended in victory for the Donetsk militias in January 2015. The DPR estimates that nearly 600 Ukrainian troops died in fighting for the airport. Kiev, for its part, claims that about 800 militiamen were killed, and that as many as 2,000 were wounded.
On June 5, 2014, fighting broke out between Ukrainian security forces and the Donbass militias at Lugansk Airport. On the night of 1 September, Ukrainian forces which had held the airport for 146 days blew up its runway and retreated. The airport has been under the complete control of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) ever since.
On July 5, 2014, after constant shelling that killed scores of civilians followed by months of fierce fighting between Ukrainian troops and the militias, the latter were forced to evacuate Slavyansk, with the city occupied by the Ukrainian army.
By the summer of 2014, full-scale hostilities raged across the Donbass with the use of heavy armored vehicles and aircraft. During the so-called ATO, armed nationalist battalions took the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the Azov** brigade, complicit in the torture of civilians and killing of children.
The Ukrainian regime has shelled Donbass mercilessly. targeting civilian infrastructure. In addition to regular shelling, authorities imposed an economic blockade of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics.
In the years of that war, until Russia launched its special military operation in order to protect residents of southeastern Ukraine, the conflict claimed the lives of around 14,000 people, including 3,500 civilians, according to the United Nations estimates.
On September 5, 2014, the Minsk Protocol — a ceasefire agreement between Kiev and the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics — was signed in the Belarusian capital. The thirteen-point ceasefire and peace deal guaranteed by Russia, Germany and France would have allow Kiev to restore its control over the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, in exchange for constitutionally-mandated autonomy. However, the process reached a dead end due to Kiev's refusal to implement the political part of the agreements. Fighting temporarily subsided, but soon resumed with new intensity.
Both Ukraine's ex-president Petro Poroshenko and former leaders of France and Germany, Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel, later openly confessed that the accords were a sham. They were only meant to grant Ukraine’s post-Maidan coup authorities time to rearm and for the West to forge an anti-Russia coalition. Merkel told reporters that “the 2014 Minsk Agreement was an attempt to buy time for Ukraine,” and that Kiev “used this time to become stronger, as you can see today.”
Russia's President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of the-then breakaway People's republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LNR) in February 2022 after a significant deterioration of the situation along the line of contact amid interference by the USs and its allies.
The heads of the people's republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LPR) then asked for Putin's assistance in repelling "aggression by Ukrainian forces" to avoid civilian casualties among, triggering the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
Referenda on the reunification of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions with the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27, 2022.

Ukraine at ‘serious risk’ of collapse, ex-British general warns.
By the end of the year, Kiev’s forces will be struggling to “defend the indefensible,” General Sir Richard Barrons told the BBC.
Retired UK general Sir Richard Barrons has told the BBC that there is “a serious risk” of Ukraine losing the conflict with Russia this year. With ammunition and manpower running low, Barrons warned that Ukrainian forces may be unable to hold back a major Russian offensive this summer.
“We are seeing Russia batter away at the front line, employing a five-to-one advantage in artillery, ammunition, and a surplus of people reinforced by the use of newish weapons,” Barrons told the British broadcaster.
“At some point this summer,” he continued, “we expect to see a major Russian offensive, with the intent of doing more than smash forward with small gains to perhaps try and break through the Ukrainian lines. And if that happens we would run the risk of Russian forces breaking through and then exploiting into areas of Ukraine where the Ukrainian armed forces cannot stop them.”

Barrons served at the head of the UK’s Joint Forces Command from 2013 until his retirement in 2016. Unlike some former Western military chiefs who still claim that Ukraine can defeat Russia on the battlefield, Barrons has warned since last year that the conflict is unwinnable, and could potentially drag on for decades.
Since Ukraine’s much-vaunted summer counteroffensive petered out last October, Western analysts and officials have warned that shortages of troops and ammunition could lead to a sudden collapse of the Ukrainian front.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine lost 160,000 men during its counteroffensive, out of a total of 444,000 casualties between February 2022 and March 2024. The Ukrainian government has resorted to increasingly draconian conscription measures to replenish these losses, but Barrons warned that desertion and draft-dodging will likely increase as Kiev’s chances of success dwindle.
“Ukraine may come to feel it can’t win,” he said. “And when it gets to that point, why will people want to fight and die any longer, just to defend the indefensible?”

Ukrainian officials have tied their country’s survival to the continued influx of Western cash and weapons. Speaking to CNN last week, President Vladimir Zelensky said that “Ukraine will lose the war” if the US Congress fails to pass a $95 billion foreign aid bill including $60 billion in military assistance for Kiev. In an interview with Politico several weeks earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba claimed that Kiev needs more US-made Patriot air defense systems to hold the line against Russian forces.
However, the aid bill has been stalled by Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill. In a New York Times op-ed published on Friday, Ohio Senator JD Vance, who voted against the bill, wrote that $60 billion “is a fraction of what it would take to turn the tide in Ukraine’s favor.”
Furthermore, Vance argued that the US and its allies only have the industrial capacity to produce a third of the Patriot systems requested by Ukraine, and a tenth of the artillery shells.
Despite these harsh realities, Zelensky said this week that he has “a plan” for another counteroffensive, but needs “certain technologies” from the West before this operation can be launched.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

THE MADNESS OF MACRON’S BURNING AMBITION COULD GET THE WHOLE WORLD INCINERATED
Emmanuel Macron wants to emulate French president General Charles de Gaulle but without de Gaulle's tactical acumen. What are the chances that Macron's push for ever more war will have a happy outcome?
Emmanuel Macron sent a large group of French officers into Ukraine. Russia destroyed them all in a missile strike and then listed their names for all to see. It was not only these men who were killed, additional French officers who arrived at the scene were also destroyed in a second strike. So, the present reckless words by Macron about sending even more Frenchmen to die in Ukraine are understandable, as is today’s announcement that France will send even more Caesar artillery pieces to Ukraine. The little Napoleon is stamping his feet in a rage. But his petulant tirades have the possible eventual outcome of the whole world getting burned.
Most of France’s NATO allies have spoken out in horror regarding Macron’s reckless statements urging him to shut up and stand down. All except for Britain and certain Baltic states who appear ready to contemplate the potential initiation of a third world war.
If NATO troops are sent into Ukraine Russia has stated unequivocally that it will target them as belligerents. They will be categorised as mercenaries and targeted relentlessly.
Without doubt Macron will also be happy to allow F16 fighters, promised for delivery to Ukraine by mid-summer, to fly from French airports to attack Russian forces. Britain, Poland, Romania and those Baltic states mentioned above are likely to allow this also. Several statements have been made in Russia regarding this possibility. They make it clear that there will be strikes on those airports where F16s are stationed, regardless of their location.
We are approaching the ultimate crisis in Ukraine. The Russian military is making gain after gain with increasing numbers of Ukrainian military dead, wounded and deciding to surrender. It appears certain that within a matter of weeks Russia will initiate an offensive that will succeed in breaking Ukrainian lines, and delivering a defeat to the Ukrainian military and regime from which it cannot possibly recover. The chance for the Ukrainian junta to negotiate anything approaching a favourable negotiated peace will be gone. The western powers, and especially the insane leaders of France, Britain and Baltic states, appear ready to double down one last time. The risk is of course that it could turn out to be ‘the last time’ for many things, including the possibility of life on earth.
Macron and his fellow madmen are leading us all to the brink of the ultimate disaster. They appear totally blind to the resolve on the Russian side to establish the security of Russia once and for all against those seeking to destabilise and undermine it. For all our sakes we must hope that all these little Hitler’s and wannabe Napoleon’s are relieved of their duties and ability to command very soon. If not, then their burning ambition to destroy Russia may well mean we ultimately all burn together.
