“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

Parties opposing Russia sanctions surge in EU elections.
Right-wing and conservative parties are gaining ground in the European Parliament, according to early results.
Hundreds of millions of Europeans across 27 member states cast ballots in EU parliamentary elections, showing growing support to conservative and right-wing parties in defiance of the bloc’s current policies ranging from immigration to security and climate.
Initial projections after the polls closed on Sunday indicated a stunning defeat to two main EU leaders: French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, which already led to Macron dissolving the country’s National Assembly and calling snap parliamentary elections.
“France needs a clear majority to operate in calm and concord,” Macron said in a message on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve understood your message, your preoccupations, and I won’t leave them without a response.”
The French right-wing National Rally got more than 30% of the votes, more than double the share of Macron’s Renaissance party, with the party’s former leader, Marine Le Pen declaring that she is “ready to take power.” While Le Pen had supported sending “defensive weapons” to Ukraine, she opposed using them to strike Russian territory, and argued that sanctions against Moscow are ineffective and primarily harm Europeans.
Germany’s governing center-left Social Democrats party received disappointing results, falling behind the right-wing Alternative for Germany party (AfD) which repeatedly objected to Western sanctions on Russia and opposed military aid to Ukraine.
“After all the prophecies of doom, after the barrage of the last few weeks, we are the second strongest force,” AfD leader Alice Weidel said, celebrating the success.
The Netherlands’ conservative Party for Freedom (PVV), spearheaded by Geert Wilders came second with 17% of the vote, and was projected to propel from a single to seven seats in the European Parliament. Wilders previously spoke against sending military aid to Ukraine, arguing that supporting Kiev’s war efforts would leave the Dutch military unable to defend the country.
Belgium's Prime Minister Alexander De Croo announced resignation after his Open VLD party suffered a disastrous defeat, gaining just 5.8% of the vote, while right-wing Vlaams Belang and Flemish nationalist N-VA parties got over 14.8 and 14.2% of the vote share respectively.
“I was the figurehead of this campaign. This is not the result I had hoped for, and I, therefore, take responsibility for this result, it was not meant to be,” de Croo told journalists on Sunday. “As of tomorrow, I will be resigning as prime minister and I will fully concentrate on current affairs.”
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s right-wing Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) party has won the election with 28% of the votes, securing 28 seats – a significant gain from the 2019 elections when her party held just 5 seats. Meloni, who is the current chair of the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR), has previously rebuked Macron over his remarks on the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine and spoke against escalation of tensions between NATO and Moscow.

Russia’s role in a multipolar world: Putin’s address to SPIEF plenary session.
Moscow is open to working with all interested parties as the global economy enters an era of drastic changes, the Russian president has said.
The Russian economy has demonstrated growth rates exceeding the world average and is actively adapting to a new emerging multipolar world built on mutual respect, President Vladimir Putin has stated in his address to the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.
The Russian leader was joined on stage by Bolivian President Luis Arce and Zimbabwe’s Emmerson Mnangagwa, as well as moderator Sergey Karaganov – a political scientist and emeritus professor from the Higher School of Economics.
During his nearly one-hour-long prepared speech, Putin addressed a number of issues related to the global economy, as well as the country’s achievements and goals for the near future as it continues to establish ties with international players.

SPIEF
Putin announced that this year’s 27th annual SPIEF event was attended by more than 12,000 people from over 100 countries, including the shareholders and CEOs of leading companies, plus renowned experts, analysts, political, public and government figures.
He emphasized that the forum provides a unique opportunity to establish business contacts, launch joint projects, and engage in discussions on current trends in global and regional markets and the latest developments in the modern world.

New world
Countries across the world have entered a race to strengthen their sovereignty on the basis of three key areas – state, culture, and economy, Putin observed, noting that nations who were previously seen as the leaders in global development are struggling to maintain their “elusive role as hegemons.”
Putin stated that the world is experiencing “explosive technological growth in almost all areas of life,” and that China and India have already become leading world economies, while other South Asian and African nations are on their way to becoming key global economic players by the middle of the century.
Russia
Russia has also demonstrated a high level of readiness and adaptability to technological developments, Putin said, mentioning that the country’s financial sector, e-commerce, transport services and the military have already undergone drastic changes to keep up with the times.

Foreign Economic Relations
Russia is striving to maintain its position as one of the key participants in global trade, Putin said, noting that “despite all the obstacles and illegitimate sanctions,” the country continues to actively develop logistics and expand the number of nations and regions it cooperates with.
He reported that Russia’s trade with Asian countries had grown by 60% from 2020 to 2023, doubled with the Middle East, grown by 69% with Africa and by 42% with Latin America.
Equal partnership
Putin stressed that Russia aims to build economic relations with other countries based on full-scale technological and industrial partnerships, providing a full life cycle of goods and services with training of national personnel and localized production.
Such an approach, based on equal terms and the transfer of technologies instead of their monopolization, will establish strong and resilient ties between nations, allowing companies to play “the long game,” the president said.

Loss of trust in Western financial system
Putin highlighted that global trust in the reliability of Western payment systems has been “fundamentally undermined,” claiming that this was done by Western countries themselves.
He said that the share of payments for Russian exports in “toxic currencies of unfriendly states” had halved while ruble payments almost tripled between 2021 and 2023, approaching 40%.
New BRICS payment system
Putin stated that Russia is already increasing the use of national currencies in foreign trade, while the BRICS group of nations, which continues to accept new members from across the world, is working to develop its own independent payment system that will not be subject to political pressure, abuse, or external sanctions interference.
Russian economy
Putin reported that Russia’s GDP growth reached 5.4% in the first quarter of this year after recording a 3.6% growth rate in 2023. The president stated that the country has long striven to become one of the largest economies in the world and announced that, according to the latest World Bank estimates, it is now in fourth place in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP), overtaking Japan.

Future of Russia
The Russian leader outlined a number of steps the country should take to maintain its growth and remain a key player on the global stage. These steps include strengthening financial, technological, and personnel sovereignty, increasing production capacity and boosting the competitiveness of Russian products in both foreign and domestic markets.
To achieve this, Putin proposed ten structural changes to the Russian economy, such as increasing investments in new projects across the country and strengthening the role of small and medium-sized businesses in economic development, creating new financial tools to incentivize businesses, improving the professional education system, boosting labor productivity through automation and the use of AI technologies, reducing poverty, and improving the quality of life for Russian families.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

THEY KEPT POKING THE RUSSIAN BEAR THINKING THEY COULD TEAR OUT ITS CLAWS
Looking at it from the ivory towers of Washington and London it all looked pretty straightforward. It had worked in Afghanistan in the Seventies so why not now? But things had changed...
Of course they knew what they were doing. They were dumb, but they were not stupid… if you know what I mean. They surely did know what they were doing. They knew precisely and in great detail the trap they were laying. All it would take to bring Russia down was to just keep on poking the Russian bear and lure it into the trap they had prepared for it.
The goal they set for themselves was clear. Eliminate Russia as a nation that could seriously oppose their desire for global hegemony, to weaken it and to unbalance it to the point where the present leadership and government would be so undermined they could be easily ousted and replaced. Once done they could set about carving Russia up into manageable pieces.
All the elements with which to do the above they believed were in place. There was no way, they thought, that Russia could withstand what they had poised ready for it. All they needed in order to bring most of the rest of the world along with them was ‘just cause’. Was the 2014 coup in Ukraine part of that plan? Was it meant to neatly dovetail into all that was to come as a consequence? I suspect it was and that the resistance to that coup in the Russian-speaking east of the country would rise up as a consequence.
Whether the Maidan coup in 2014 and its inevitable consequences were all part of the plan or whether it was merely a launch point that was spotted eagerly by the neoconservatives who needed such a moment is unknown as yet. If it was all part of the plan to ‘get Russia’ the first hiccup came with the success of the self-defence forces of eastern Ukraine against the Kiev regime’s rather lackluster army. By 2015 it was clear that things were going very wrong for the West on that front.
The Minsk process, initiated by Angela Merkel through a plaintive plea to Vladimir Putin asking for diplomacy to take centre stage, began and continued until it finally foundered in 2021. Upon its demise Ms Merkel, along with Petro Poroshenko confessed that they had never had any intention of seeking peace but had simply used Minsk as a means to building up the Ukrainian army to NATO standards. The plan was back on track.
This was when the poking of the Russian bear began in earnest. Up to this point there had been the (unreported in the West) shelling of the civilian populations of the Russian-speaking regions of Donetsk and Lugansk. This continues right up to the present day but by 2021 had been occurring daily and nightly since 2014. Though Petroshenko, Ukrainian president through most of this period continually said Russia had invaded Ukraine it was in fact predominantly the male and female populations of Donetsk and Lugansk who were defending these regions with the help of a few hundred Russian volunteers. The plan required that the ‘Russian Invasion’ meme stick and the evidence for such an invasion simply was not there.
So, start poking the Russian bear harder and if possible get it into a corner from which it would have to break out sooner or later. Russia’s efforts over the best part of a decade through Minsk to reach peace and reconciliation in Ukraine had been fruitless by design. Now, with no pathway to peace available and both Merkel and Poroshenko basically laughing at how Russia had been tricked, Russia turned to another possibility, inviting both NATO and the U.S. state to negotiate on a new security architecture for Europe that would ensure peace and also include Russia within it. This was rejected more or less out of hand by both western powers. Russia was being remorselessly placed in the corner designed for it and inevitably it exploded out from the place it had been pushed into.
Zelensky was talking of regaining Ukraine’s nuclear status. The shelling of Donetsk and Lugansk during the first two months of 2022 reached a new peak of intensity. It became clear that unless Russia acted now the Kiev regime intended to launch an all-out attack on them. Indeed documents were apparently found to this effect.
Finally, all the pressure, all the relentless poking paid off for the western planners, a cornered Russia, looking at NATO soon to be squatting on its borders and a nation upping its hate campaign against Russia into the distant future, with the knowledge that every means would be used to destabilise the Russian nation, the bear burst from the corner long prepared for her.
The western planners must have been cock-a-hoop on February 24th 2022 when the first Russian troops crossed the border into Ukraine. They had done it, they had tormented the bear into doing exactly what they had long planned for. Now would come the barrage of financial and economic weapons that would bring Russia down in combination with the uprising, the Moscow Maidan that would come as a result.
The heinous, unprovoked attack upon poor, innocent, democratic Ukraine by the dictator-led Russia would bring every nation large or small together in condemnation and unify them as one against this unconscionable Russian aggression.
Putin would fall. The Russian government would fall. The collapse of the Russian economy would bring with it a banking collapse, anarchy and rioting in the streets and a retreat of the nation back to the terrible Nineties. All ripe for regime change, the elimination and replacement of all those the West had long targeted.
Only none of the above rosy scenarios envisaged by the western planners came to be. Their ‘Afghanistan Solution’ of enticing Russia into Ukraine and then laying it low by expensiture of massive amounts of blood and treasure failed. Russia obstinately refused to collapse. The Russian economy began to grow. The Ruble wavered then strengthened. The nations expected to join with the West in condemning Russia failed to do so and instead expanded their trade with it. Public opinion, even in the West was split. As time went on and more people became informed of the entire timeline of events Russia began to receive much more support among them than condemnation.
The plan had gone horribly wrong. Russia was not weakened, but strengthened. Russia’s reputation in the world had improved, not been destroyed. The collective west was being abandoned by more and more nations it had previously considered its compliant proxies. The reputation for probity the western leaders still retained to some degree even in spite of their disastrous regime change wars approached its nadir. Humiliation awaited for the debacle of Ukraine that they had foisted on the world. Half a million Ukrainians were dead as a result of their convincing Zelensky not to seek peace but to fight on. The plan was as good as dead. But still they kept poking the Russian bear… and we now know what to expect next, don’t we?
