“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

Ukraine in new attempt to stop its troops speaking Russian.
Many of Kiev’s soldiers reportedly continue to use the country’s traditionally most popular tongue despite efforts by the authorities to crack down.
Special courses will be created for Kiev’s troops so that they can improve their command of the Ukrainian language, government official Taras Kremen has said.
Kremen, who is Ukraine’s language ombudsman, made the announcement as he met with servicemen at a Territorial Defense Forces training center on Monday, his office said in a statement.
Violations of the country’s language law, which among other things obliges the military to use Ukrainian, have been recorded in a large number of units, including in the capital Kiev, according to the commissioner.
Ukraine historically has a large Russian-speaking population, especially in its eastern regions. Many soldiers reportedly continue to speak Russian on the front lines. In a 2001 census, more than 14.2 million Ukrainian citizens (almost 30% of the population) called Russian their native language.
During the meeting with servicemen, it was “agreed to open language courses for military personnel who want to improve their knowledge and properly prepare for the exam to determine the level of proficiency in the state language,” Kremen said.

“I will be happy to assist in the creation of such a network [of courses] in other military units as well,” the commissioner added.
Signed by then President Pyotr Poroshenko in 2019, the language law established Ukrainian as the sole state language and made it obligatory for use in all areas of social life. It was a continuation of Kiev’s policy of forcing out the Russian language, pursued by the authorities after the violent Western-backed coup in 2014.
Since 2021, passing a Ukrainian language exam has been mandatory to become a government employee or to obtain Ukrainian citizenship.
“Nobody there [in the conflict zone] speaks Ukrainian,” a sniper from Kiev’s forces told the TSN media outlet in October. Despite concealing his identity, the serviceman enjoyed a certain celebrity status in Ukraine due to his regular interviews and podcast appearances.
He claimed that Russian was common in all sections of the front line that he had been posted to. In his own unit, “two people speak the harshest Surzhik [a mix of Russian and Ukrainian] and, probably, two or three others [use] Ukrainian language. All the rest are Russian-speaking,” the sniper insisted.

Moscow has repeatedly denounced Kiev’s clampdown on Russian culture and language, insisting that the “forced Ukrainization” violates international law and infringes upon the rights of native Russian speakers, who make up around a quarter of the population.

US no longer enjoys uncontested primacy – CIA chief.
The agency has stepped up recruitment to counter Russia and China, William Burns wrote in an op-ed.
The director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has admitted that his country no longer enjoys undisputed superiority in global politics.
In an op-ed published by Foreign Affairs magazine on Tuesday, William Burns acknowledged that China’s rising military and economic strength, Russia’s willingness to use military force in Ukraine, and a growing number of regional powers pursuing independent foreign policies have all led to “a world of intense strategic competition in which the United States no longer enjoys uncontested primacy.”
With American power facing more challenges than at any point since the end of the Cold War, the CIA has increased its recruitment efforts in Russia and opened a new “mission center” focused exclusively on China, Burns revealed.
Much of the article makes a case for continued military aid to Ukraine, arguing – as other Washington officials have – that cutting Kiev off from Western weapons would send a message of “American fecklessness” to China, thus encouraging President Xi Jinping to attack Taiwan.
Burns also claims that discontent within Russia has created a “once-in-a-generation recruiting opportunity for the CIA.” However, while the agency has been attempting to recruit informants via its Telegram and X accounts, Burns did not elaborate on any successes.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted last week that “someone should have told the CIA that VKontakte [a social media network] is much more popular in our country than X,” which was banned in Russian in 2022.

“While Russia may pose the most immediate challenge, China is the bigger long-term threat,” Burns continued, adding that the CIA has spent the last two years “reorganizing itself to reflect that priority.”
The agency has doubled the proportion of its budget spent on China, hired more Mandarin speakers, and competed for influence with Beijing in Latin America, Africa, and the Indo-Pacific, he said. In 2021, the agency opened “a new mission center focused exclusively on China,” he said, adding that the center is the only one of around a dozen such facilities to focus on a single country.
However, current and former intelligence officials told the Wall Street Journal last year that the CIA has struggled to recruit Chinese sources and informants. While Burns boasted of the CIA’s work in Latin America, officials told the journal that agents working in the region are routinely surveilled by their Chinese counterparts.
The CIA suffered a devastating blow to its intelligence-gathering abilities in 2010, when Chinese authorities began identifying, arresting, and reportedly executing CIA agents in the country. An investigation by the New York Times put the number of spies killed or imprisoned at 20, while Foreign Policy magazine has claimed that at least 30 agents were executed between 2010 and 2012.

When Burns admitted last year that the CIA was once again running agents in China, the Chinese Foreign Ministry threatened to “take all measures necessary to safeguard national security.”
Despite the CIA’s struggles, Burns’ Russian counterpart, Sergey Naryshkin, told the Russian ‘National Defense’ magazine in September that Moscow still considers Washington its “most dangerous and uncompromising geopolitical opponent.” Speaking to Russian media earlier this month, Naryshkin warned that the US is currently attempting to recruit Russian students to build a “fifth column” in Russia ahead of the presidential election in March.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

RUSSIA, EMBRACED BY THE GLOBAL SOUTH, WILL ULTIMATELY EMERGE FROM COLD IN THE WEST
The renewed welcoming of Russia into the western orbit is already starting to emerge. Recently, after an election which brought Robert Fico and his party Smer (Direction) to power, Slovakia will now reestablish relations with Russia. Already the Slovak Minister of Culture has announced that cultural exchange programmes with Russia will be restarted.
In Hungary the prime minister Viktor Orban also has an increasingly friendly relationship with Russia after coming to a mutually beneficial agreement on the supply of Russian natural gas to Hungary.
Both Slovakia and Hungary now approach the situation in Ukraine in the same way, having an identical stance on not supplying the regime there with military aid, instead concentrating solely on humanitarian aid. They refuse to support adding to the futile continuation of military hostilities there (the NATO stance) and instead advocate negotiations aimed at establishing a ceasefire and ultimately an end to the war.
‘Slovakia's newly appointed Prime Minister Robert Fico will not back further military aid for Ukraine nor support further sanctions against Russia.’
- Reuters
In addition to the above Slovakia and Hungary are refusing to sign off on the EU plan to provide an additional fifty billion euro so-called aid package (over a four year period) to Ukraine unless the resulting outcomes are strictly audited and a new vote on whether to continue is held each year. The EU mandarins are currently seeking to strip Hungary (and presumably Slovakia) of its voting rights. This undemocratic process along with withholding of funds is inexorably pushing Hungary eastward.
Germany is suffering from the fallout caused by the ending of inexpensive gas from Russia. Now in deep recession Germany is steadily deindustrializing. The Green Party, in power along with others in a coalition government seem content with this situation as a Germany impoverished but having less of a carbon footprint suits them. However, it is surely the case that the German public will not tolerate this lowering of their life quality (of which they have been very proud in the past) for long. The chances are very high that the present coalition government will fall. The result of this will surely bring a more Russia-friendly government to power.
‘At least part of the country’s poor performance has to be blamed on its reckless energy policy which relied heavily on imports of cheap natural gas from Russia and a premature decision to shift to renewable energy when the infrastructure wasn’t ready.
While the German people and the businesses based there are suffering, so are investors.’
- Forbes
Italy is currently led by Giorgia Meloni, a political actress who posed as a radical activist to get elected and who then immediately looked for elite EU backsides to kiss. The Italians must surely have realised quite quickly how they were duped and vote more carefully on the basis of the old motto, ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’. Meloni has curiously taken Italy out of China’s Belt and Road Initiative at a time when Italy has plunged deeper into an economic crisis.
‘An Italian government crisis, once so frequent as to be a near nonevent, has exposed the fragility of a Europe contending with rising energy prices, a plunging currency, faltering leadership, and a war in Ukraine where time appears to favor Russia’s resolve over the West’s uncertainty.’
- Angelo Carconi/EPA
Once again, as the economic situation in Italy worsens the appeal of inexpensive Russian gas to fuel economic growth will rise and voters will vote for the parties supporting this reversal of earlier policy by Meloni and her European backers.
As most of Europe enters recession Russia is achieving higher and higher economic growth. The economic and financial weapons the collective west used against Russia have failed one after another. The nations expected to join the West in attacking Russia instead drew closer to her and formed even more economic ties with Russia than before. Future prospects appear bright indeed whereas the West, continually embroiled in conflicts requiring vast financial expenditure, looks destined to fall ever deeper into an economic morass.
Russia is moving inexorably to achieve all her goals in Ukraine. Once achieved it is inevitable that the relationship of previously hostile political elites to Russia will move toward a re-establishment of normal relations. A strengthened Russia, backed by the growing number of BRICS members and those who remained good friends when the western powers became enemies cannot help but move gradually back into a favourable status in the West. Western nations desperately need Russian energy and, with their economic weapons failing to seriously damage Russia they will finally have to confront the inevitable, they need Russia far, far more than Russia needs them.
