RUNNING UPDATES ON THE CONFLICT IN UKRAINE - 03.09.2022
The counteroffensive initiated by Ukraine a few days ago in the Kherson region is clearly headed for a complete disaster. Ukrainian troops who had made an incursion in Russian-controlled territory after crossing the Ingulets River, having moved some five or so miles and occupied one or two small villages appear now to be totally trapped. Perhaps up to four thousand troops (some of them apparently very poorly trained) are being bombarded from all sides with no hope of returning across the river.
Three pontoon bridges which the Ukrainians crossed the Ingulets River have been destroyed and now Russian troops have managed to cross into Ukrainian-controlled territory north of the river to completely encircle the Ukrainian military. This appears to have been a trap set by the Russians to entice Ukrainian battle formations into a pocket of land and then trap them there in what the Russians term a ‘cauldron’.
The following mapping site video provides more details on the fast-moving situation in the Kherson region where the Ukrainian regime appears to be facing its greatest disaster military yet. There is talk of the possibility of a military coup against zElensky and it would not surprise me one bit if this is realised. If it was to be not the regular Ukrainian military that initiated it but the combined military power of the neo-Nazi militias such as AZOV and AIDAR then this would create an absolutely enormous new problem for the collective West.
Meantime, here are some additional details regarding the situation so far. I will update this page as and when new information comes in from the battlefront.
The ‘Military Summary’ channel has posted an analysis of the events of the last 24 hours in the last hour or so and his reports tend to be detailed and based upon many sources.
Below is yet another mapping update, this time from ‘New World Econ’, another excellent mapping site. The video analysis below covers yet another failed Ukrainian attempt to secure a bridgehead in the vicinity of the nuclear power plant. Yet more Ukrainian losses, most probably of special forces troops (recently in the UK for training) including an estimated 10 foreigners occurred.
Brian Berletic of ‘The New Atlas’ has just posted a new video providing an update on the progress of the ‘Kherson Offensive’ where he talks of it losing momentum:
BRIAN BERLETIC OF 'THE NEW ATLAS' - UKRAINE UPDATE
Without adequate artillery and with no air cover whatsoever to protect Ukrainian troops at any point across this battlefront the entire Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kherson region looks doomed. The zElensky regime however, appears to consider that the expenditure of manpower and tanks being eliminated now serves some purpose still and appears ready to continue what appears to be an obviously hopeless offensive.
