Russia unleashes coordinated wave of strikes on Ukrainian facilities – MOD.
Airfields and critical infrastructure were reportedly struck in a major offensive targeting Kiev’s rear positions.

Russia has conducted coordinated multiple strikes on critical Ukrainian military and dual-use infrastructure, including airfields and energy facilities, the Defense Ministry in Moscow announced on Monday.
The strike involved operational-tactical aviation, various drones, missiles and artillery, the Russian military said. Apart from airfields and energy facilities used to supply “enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine,” some 138 Ukrainian military sites used to amass troops and hardware in the rear were also struck, according to the ministry.
While the Russian military did not specify the exact targets, Ukrainian media reports suggested that Kiev, the southern port city of Odessa, the eastern city of Kharkov, among other locations were affected. According to Ukrainian estimates, the attack involved more than 100 Geran-2 kamikaze drones.

The new strike comes as the two belligerents have seemingly ramped up long-range attacks against each other. Kiev’s recent use of long-range systems, such as the American ATACMS and British Storm Shadow missiles, prompted Moscow to use its brand new Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile.
The new munition was combat-tested last week and used for a surprise strike on Yuzhmash, a sprawling Soviet-era plant located in the city of Dnepropetrovsk (known as Dnipro in Ukraine). The factory, which prior to the conflict produced primarily aircraft engines and missile components, had been actively used as of late by Kiev to refurbish and repair assorted military hardware.

The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 1,545 servicepeople in battles with Russian forces over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
In the area of operations of the Russian Battlegroup Yug, Kiev lost up to 500 servicepeople, one Msta-B howitzer and one L-119 gun. Battlegroup Zapad defeated the formations of six Ukrainian brigades and repelled four counterattacks, with Kiev losing up to 440 troops, the ministry said.
Battlegroup group continued to advance into the depths of the Ukrainian armed forces' defense, repelled 10 attacks, with Kiev losing up to 380 servicepeople. Ukraine also lost up to 145 troops, one M113 armored personnel carrier and two M777 howitzers in the area of responsibility of Battlegroup.
Battlegroup repelled a counterattack of two Ukrainian brigades, with Kiev losing up to 50 servicepeople.
Russian Forces Advance in Kurakhov, Donbass, Handing Major Losses to Ukrainian Army
Additionally, Russia's Battlegroup Dnepr forces eliminated up to 30 Ukrainian servicepeople over the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
Ukraine Loses Over 260 Soldiers in Kursk Area in Past Day
Russian military units eliminated over 260 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank and one armored vehicle in Russia's Kursk Region in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"In the past day, the Ukrainian armed forces' losses amounted to 260 soldiers. One tank, one armored fighting vehicle, and also five cars and one mortar were destroyed," the ministry said.
Overall, Ukraine has lost over 35,310 soldiers, 216 tanks, 1,193 armored fighting vehicles, 40 rocket launchers, including 11 US-made HIMARS, and other military equipment since the start of the offensive in the Kursk Region in August, the ministry added.
Russia's Update on Nuclear Doctrine Can Be Considered Signal to West - Kremlin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decree updating Russia’s nuclear doctrine can be considered as a signal to the West and should not be seen as a coincidence, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin published on Sunday.
"Surely, there cannot be any coincidences here. There is certain consistency," Peskov said, when asked about the doctrine update.
The spokesman added that Russia constantly has to respond to unprecedented escalation incited by the West.
"Although President Putin assigned to prepare the amendments in order to adapt our [nuclear] doctrine to the conditions of the current confrontation, which is incited by the Western states, Putin has to respond to the unprecedented escalation which is primarily spurred by the outgoing administration in Washington," Peskov said.
And the United States is continuing to take even more reckless steps to escalate the Ukrainian conflict, the spokesman added.
When commenting on the Oreshnik missile strike, Peskov said that Putin had sent a clear signal to the West in September. Peskov added that a "frenzy" among decision-makers in Washington had led to the current situation.

"They chose to ignore Putin's warnings and this situation arose as a result. This required such decisive steps and firm statements from our president," the spokesman said.
Peskov also said that the Biden administration had effectively halted dialogue with Russia, adding that "political foresight" is in short supply in Washington.
"During the election campaign, [US President-elect Donald] Trump spoke about his intention to somehow ensure peace and bring everyone into a peaceful course. And now they are trying to escalate the situation so much that these peaceful conditions are doomed to failure," the spokesman said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised speech on Thursday that Ukraine had fired US-supplied ATACMS missiles and the UK's Storm Shadows at facilities in the Kursk and Bryansk regions this week. In response, Russia launched a strike against a defense industry facility, the Yuzhmash plant, in Dnepropetrovsk on November 21, using its newest medium-range missile, dubbed Oreshnik. Moscow also updated its nuclear doctrine earlier in the week.
US President Joe Biden’s outgoing administration's decisions on Ukraine are an attempt to take revenge on President-elect Donald Trump for his victory in the presidential election, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
"In many ways, yes," Peskov said in an interview out on Sunday when asked if Biden is trying to take a revenge for the Democrats' defeat in the election.
Biden’s administration is trying to leave "some kind of heritage" to Trump and bring him to bay in the Ukraine conflict settlement, Peskov added.
The statements about the possibility of Kiev obtaining a dirty bomb are dangerous and represent much more than "play with fire," Dmirty Peskov said.
"They [Ukraine] understand how dangerous it is and that it is not even a play with fire any more, it’s more than that," Peskov said in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin out on Sunday when asked about claims that Kiev may get a dirty bomb.
Earlier this month, UK newspaper reported, citing a report prepared by Ukrainian researchers for the Defense Ministry, that Ukraine could develop a nuclear bomb within a few months if the United States reduces military aid to Kiev. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said later that Ukraine does not possess nuclear weapons, does not intend to create them, and closely cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency. However, Kiev’s existing capabilities allow it to create a dirty bomb, Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, the head of the radiological defense troops of the Russian armed forces, has said.

Trump’s national security pick reveals Ukraine peace vision.
Mike Waltz has outlined plans to push for talks from day one of the new presidency.
US President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for National Security Adviser, Mike Waltz, has laid out the incoming administration’s strategy for addressing the Ukraine conflict. He said the Trump team will begin working on negotiations from the very first day of Trump’s term, which begins on January 20.
Speaking on Fox News on Sunday, Waltz emphasized that a key priority will be organizing talks between Russia and Ukraine, with the aim of bringing both sides together to negotiate a ceasefire or peace agreement. “We need to discuss who is at this table, whether it will be an agreement, a truce, how to put both sides at the negotiating table, and then what is the scope of the deal,” he said.
Waltz, a congressman from Florida, also highlighted the importance of involving America’s European allies in the process. “All our allies and partners need to bear this burden,” he stated, stressing that the conflict’s resolution will require international cooperation.
Trump has repeatedly promised to end the conflict, and has voiced concerns over its escalating nature, especially following the increased use of advanced weaponry. Waltz noted that recent decisions, such as President Joe Biden’s approval of Kiev’s missile strikes deep inside Russia, have led to more intense fighting. He described the situation as an “absolute meat grinder” for those at the front.
As a retired colonel and someone seen as an expert on national security threats, Waltz expressed confidence that the Trump administration would work swiftly to restore deterrence and bring an end to the conflict.
“We need to bring this to a responsible end. We need to restore deterrence and peace, prevent this escalation later, instead of reacting to it,” he said.
While Trump has committed to ending the fighting, skepticism remains in both the US and Russia. Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota has questioned the viability of direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has also firmly rejected any suggestion of territorial concessions to Russia and vowed not to formally give up any land.
Waltz’s comments come amid rising tensions, with Moscow responding to the new US missile authorization for Ukraine by launching its own advanced new missile called the Oreshnik.
The Trump administration’s peace plan will likely be front and center once he takes office, with the expectation that America’s NATO colleagues will also play a critical role in any negotiations. Waltz stressed that foreign nations will not be able to exploit the leadership change from Biden to Trump. “We are hand in glove,” he said, reaffirming a united front during the transition.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.
