A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.

2024 BRICS Summit Day 3: What to Look Out For
Day 2 of the 2024 BRICS Summit was highlighted by the adoption of the Kazan Declaration, titled “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security.” Russian President Vladimir Putin conducted a marathon of bilateral meetings with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the forum.
On the final day of the 2024 BRICS Summit, taking place on October 22-24 in the Russian city of Kazan, President Vladimir Putin will take part in a plenary meeting in the Outreach/BRICS Plus extended format.
The meeting is expected to be attended by delegates from nearly 40 countries representing the Global South and heads of multilateral organizations. Discussions, which will take place in the form of a meeting and then continue at the dinner table, are expected to focus on sustainable development, peaceful conflict settlement, fighting terrorism, and transnational crime, measures against poverty, stability of supply chains, etc.
Russia’s president will then sum up the results of the BRICS Summit at a press conference and answer questions from journalists.
After the news conference, Putin will continue his marathon of bilateral meetings.
Russia’s president will meet with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to focus on international problems as well as issues relating to the United Nations’ activities.
Vladimir Putin will have talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss both bilateral cooperation and the current situation in the Middle East.
Putin will meet with Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, Mauritania’s president and head of the African Union.
The Russian leader will also have bilateral meetings with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith, and Bolivian President Luis Arce.

BRICS Summit Declaration is ‘Inflection Point’ Redefining International Politics: Here’s Why:
The BRICS bloc adopted the final declaration of its Summit in Kazan on Wednesday. The document outlined the group’s push to make bold reforms to global institutions, strengthen cooperation and respond collectively to global crises. Sputnik asked leading Asia and Europe-based international relations experts for help decoding the declaration.
Political and international affairs experts expecting tectonic and transformative changes to international relations at the BRICS’ Russia Summit were not disappointed, with bloc’s 43-page Kazan Declaration, entitled ‘Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security’, containing 134 points aimed at:
creating “a more just and democratic world order,”
“enhancing cooperation for global and regional stability and security,”
“fostering economic and financial cooperation”
and “strengthening people-to-people exchanges for social and economic development.”
The declaration called for reforms to Bretton Woods – the international financial architecture established at the end of the Second World War, to make its institutions more representative of developing countries’ interests, rejected “unilateral, punitive and discriminatory protectionist” climate change-related measures, and expressed support for a comprehensive transformation of the United Nations, including the Security Council, to make it more representative of modern realities.
On the economic front, the bloc expressed support for the expanded use of national currencies in trade, highlighted the importance of the continued implementation of the BRICS Economic Partnership macroeconomic policy coordination and cooperation strategy, and welcomed “the considerable interest by countries of the Global South” toward BRICS.
Specific commitments include plans to strengthen cooperation in high-tech via the BRICS Business Council’s New Technological Platform, efforts to expand the role of the bloc’s New Development Bank “in promoting infrastructure and sustainable development” of member countries, and the ramping up of cooperation in medicine across a wide array of areas, from traditional and digital health to nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals and vaccines.
The declaration committed bloc members to continue negotiations into the ambitious BRICS Clear cross-border settlement and depository system, welcomed further exploration into “opportunities to establish a logistics platform to coordinate and improve transport conditions for multimodal logistics between the BRICS countries,” and welcomed the Russian proposal to create the BRICS Grain Exchange platform to ensure (and insure) global food security.
In a development highlighting the BRICS’ growing view of itself as an independent geopolitical actor, the declaration offered comprehensive commentaries on the bloc's take on international security issues of the day, from the illegal use of sanctions and the placement of weapons in outer space, to the Ukrainian crisis, Palestine's drive for full membership in the UN, Israel’s “premeditated terrorist attack” targeting communication devices in Lebanon, and its attacks in Gaza, Syria and Iran, the crisis in the Red Sea, the situations in South Sudan, Haiti, Afghanistan, and more.

‘Inflection Point of International Politics’
“The 16th Summit of BRICS is an inflection point of international politics because the BRICS are showing that there is a collective way of negotiating in the international system that does not need hegemony or the use of force,” Anuradha Chenoy, Jawaharlal Nehru University Centre for Russian and Central Asian Studies professor emerita told Sputnik, commenting on the contents of the Kazan Declaration and its global implications.
“The Kazan Declaration is a road map for BRICS countries because it combines ‘common interests’ with ‘strategic partnership’,” Dr. Chenoy said, contrasting the bloc’s approach to Western-led pacts and agreements, where “interests” are reserved for Western countries, “and the term strategic means the threat or possible use of force.”
In calling for reforms to Bretton Woods institutions, the Kazan Declaration actually highlights the bloc’s efforts to set “up their own version of Bretton Woods institutions in an entirely different way,” Chenoy believes, pointing to BRICS’ use of economic partnership agreements, national currencies in trade, the New Development Bank, etc. for this purpose.
“This is in direct contrast to Bretton Woods way of functioning, [which] is intrusive - in that it directs control of economies, is unilateral whereby countries are left with neither voice or choice of what direction their economies can take,” the professor said.
Ultimately, the summit in Kazan is about tectonic shifts to the global balance of power, Chenoy says, “because the rise and common agenda of the BRICS shows a re-distribution and dispersal of global power that was earlier held by the US led collective West. Now, the combined economic strength of the BRICS in terms of PPP equals if not beats that of the G-7. This provides smaller nations the chance to leverage between countries to strengthen their strategic autonomy and look for choices. BRICS is offering trade in local currencies, so countries are protected from the dollar and dollar-related debt; a diverse market for their produce and production, and so on.”

BRICS as Counterbalance to Western-Dominated World Order
“From a strategic point of view, BRICS in Kazan counterbalance the ailing G7, at a time that sees several key members of the ongoing bi-annual meeting of The Commonwealth [choosing] BRICS instead, and when the US and the EU are peddling of fear in the uncertainty of their own national and international institutions,” Paolo Raffone, director of the Brussels-based CIPI Foundation geopolitical affairs think tank, told Sputnik.
“The attendance by the UN Secretary general, Guterres, confirms their peaceful and cooperative intentions within the multilateral system. To the dismay of the ideological critics of BRICS no incendiary statements were heard or written,” Raffone said.
Commenting on the declaration’s points about the need to reform the United Nations and the Bretton Woods financial institutions to make them more inclusive, the observer pointed out that while such proposals have been under debate since the 1970s, only now, with the combined power of the economic and geopolitical global majority in the face of the BRICS nations, is it becoming truly possible.
“The declaration is quietly but resolutely stating that despite the hegemons’ opposition the path towards a more balanced representation and responsibility in world affairs cannot be stopped anymore. It’s just a matter of time not of direction and outcome,” Raffone said.

“BRICS underline that the ‘system’ is not an end but a tool. Therefore, the ‘system’ should be serving all people on Earth without hindering their legitimate aspirations to preserve their identity. VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

THE WORLD IS MOVING TOWARD BRICS IN UNITY AGAINST THE RECKLESS WEST
The western powers have so aggressively overplayed their hand in seeking to maintain their global control that their victims have had no choice but to unite against them.
As the BRICS summit in Kanzan, Russia nears its end we can see most of the significant players outside the western sphere of influence lay down a marker for their long-time western oppressors. Their time of calling the shots and playing the part of global bully is fast ending. Like any criminals out of control they took things too far and now they will in due course serve the equivalent of jail time. We will not have all that long to wait until we see an effective quarantining of the mad dogs of the USA, UK and EU. This will not come about through the violence of war, but by the inexorable rise of economies far more robust and well-grounded than those of the West.
Meanwhile, as the nations of bRICS and beyond busy themselves with creating a new world, this overarching reality is something most commentators in the West are continually failing to address. Blinded by their own fixed notions and perpetual barrages of lies, one heaped upon another, they have not seen what’s coming down the pike toward them. Too busy slandering Vladimir Putin, Russia or Xi Jinping of China by creating innumerable barrages of disinformation, they have made themselves wonderfully vulnerable. The BRICS summit and what it means for those of the West who think they are the perpetual masters of the world is an elephant in the room that is now almost embracing all four corners of that room.
Up to and exponentially so after the events of 9/11 there was general agreement among western political elites that the USA and its allies would be the police force patrolling the world, threatening it, blackmailing it, coercing it, and punishing it at will. The air of superiority and exceptionalism evinced by this attitude created a permanent noxious stench wherever their interference took them. The overweening pride they exuded in their illegal acts afgainst international law has been slowly but surely bringing about their eventual fall. After 9/11 they took things beyond all reasonable limits and what we see now in and through BRICS is a direct result of the overreach they so unwisely engaged in.
The main decision arising from post-9/11 deliberations was that there would no longer be ANY toleration of ANY non-U.S. obedient entities across the world. The overreach was embedded deep in a hubris concerning this decision and was an integral part of a deadly recipe.The decision made then remains in place and is what drives the out of control juggernaut of western interference we see now and which will now hit the wall of BRICS resistance. The western powers cannot stop themselves. They have neither the will nor the sense. They are completely unable to halt the process begun after 9/11 for one simple reason; it has no achievable end date, it is totally open-ended, there is no timetable nor any realistically achievable goal. All the entire project has done is ensure the USA and its allies forfeit just about any power and influence that they have in store which they have used to constantly abuse the world for so long now.
The utmost determination behind the goals set after 9/11 meant they simply could not backtrack, no one person and no group could question those goals let alone modify or ameliorate them. There was never going to be any authority with the power to do so. The machine created after 9/11 has no reverse gear, there is no Plan B. What all this zombie-like destructive force built into the U.S. political superstructure that many call ‘The Deep State’ has achieved is the complete destruction of any internal integrity. Now lies are used like any other weapon, no limits are set, all is possible because the goal set is impossible to achieve. And of course that goal is complete global control, in effect the creation of a prison planet. Post 9/11 there was to be no true diplomacy, only propaganda and forward progress toward ever more pervasive totalitarian control. Anything that was good within previous western political systems was extricated and eliminated, replaced by the ranks of boneheads, hawks and warmongering zealots we see now, ultimately destined of course to do much, much more harm than they could ever do good.
So, lost in delusion are these boneheads, hawks and warmongering zealots that they cannot even dimly see that they are constantly weakening the thing called the West tht they have been determined to strengthen. Despite the clear evidence that the campaign to achieve the primary goals set after 9/11 have failed, this has only made them more dedicated to ever more reckless doubling down, creating ever more catastrophic outcomes. The recklessness involved at this stage is more evident than ever. Look at Israel, look at Ukraine. The West is going down by the day. It’s obvious. There is most likely no eventuality which they do not contemplate at this point with no weapon at their disposal excluded. This very definitely includes the use of nuclear weapons. At the very end the danger is that they will glimpse the truth and the folly of what they have done. They will see they have been the agents of their very own misfortune.
The stage has come when the people behind the post 9/11 project see enemies all around them. To paraphrase George W. Bush, the insane way they see things now in their blind arrogance is that if you are not for us you are against us. And more and more nations, due to the recklessness of these self-blinded western elites are showing every sign of now rising in unity against the madmen and women of the West, against the rabid lunacy of the West with its ever-increasing and never reducing aggressive, invasive, interfering and warmongering.
BRICS, the Shanghai Organisation and the Eurasian Union plus many other organizations are uniting ever more cohesively. More and more nations, those with the largest populations and economies in the east, middle east and far east are uniting more and more under the expanded BRICS security and economic defense umbrella. Up to forty nations are queuing to join BRICS and many more are undoubtedly looking to. The rise of the bRICS will ultimately quarantine the USA and its allies, stopping them from further damaging the world in pursuit of the mirage of world domination. They act as any good citizen would when confronted by the danger presented by such a rabid dog.
