A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.

Four people killed in Ukrainian attacks on Russian region – governor.
Another 24 civilians have been injured in Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov has said.
Four people were killed and 24 others wounded by Ukrainian attacks on civilian buildings and vehicles in Russia’s Belgorod Region on Wednesday, local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has said.
Kiev’s troops targeted around a dozen non-military settlements with artillery and drones, according to the governor.
“Yesterday was a terrible day for the whole of Belgorod Region,” Gladkov wrote in a post on Telegram on Thursday morning.
Throughout Wednesday, the governor reported Ukrainian strikes across the region via his channel.
In the afternoon, one person was killed and four others wounded, including a teenager and a three-year-old child, by an attack on the village of Krapivnoe.
A few hours later, Kiev’s forces shelled a farm in the village of Yasnye Zori, leaving one person dead and 13 wounded.
On Wednesday evening, a UAV targeted a civilian car in Yasnye Zori, injuring the driver, who was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

Three trucks were hit by drones while moving along roads in various parts of the region. One of the drivers was killed, and the other two were wounded.
On the same day, buildings and infrastructure were damaged by shells and UAVs in Varvarovka, Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belyanka, Murom, Prilesye and other settlements. Incoming drones were shot down by air defences over the regional capital, Belgorod.
It is not clear from Gladkov’s posts how the fourth fatality occurred.
"We will never find words to console the relatives and friends [of those killed], but I would like to express words of sincere condolences from all residents of Belgorod Region. We are with you,” the governor said.
The Russian regions of Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk, which all border Ukraine, have been frequent targets of cross-border fire since the outbreak of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev in February 2022. Shelling and drone strikes have been aimed at energy infrastructure and residential areas, resulting in dozens of civilian deaths and injuries, as well as the destruction of property.
The bombardment of Belgorod has intensified over the past month amid the stalling of the Ukrainian offensive in Russia’s Kursk Region and Russian advances in Donbass. Kiev’s forces have also attempted to enter Belgorod Region on several occasions, but have been pushed back.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that Ukraine has lost more than 19,550 troops and several hundred units of military equipment, including 135 tanks and 98 armored personnel carriers, since the start of the incursion in Kursk Region in early August.

The armed forces of Ukraine are torturing a Russian prisoner of war and demanding that his family commit a terrorist attack, a source familiar with the situation told Sputnik.
On Tuesday, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said in a fresh periodic report that no one has been held accountable for crimes against Russian PoWs in Ukraine.
"The wife of the prisoner Sergei Paliya received a video with his torture in Ukrainian captivity and a demand to commit a terrorist attack to stop it," the source said.

Israel has continued to bomb Lebanon, killing more than 700 people since September 23 as a result. Meanwhile, the US government has secretly supported Israel’s plans to expand its war.
On Tuesday, Iran said its supreme leader made the decision to fire dozens of missiles into Israel as a retaliation for Israel’s invasion of Lebanon as well as the assassinations of top Hezbollah and Hamas leaders. About 400 ballistic missiles were fired into southern and central Israel, and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that if Israel responds to the attack, it would be followed by more destructive strikes.
President Pezeshkian accused the US of their complicity in the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah who died in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut, Hezbollah confirmed on Saturday. Turkiye Today published images of Netanyahu allegedly issuing the order for the airstrike while in New York. Following the attack Iran vowed to continue to support Hezbollah’s efforts against Israel.
“I think Iran has been reluctant and patient and Israel has struck them in ways that are outrageous… striking in Tehran and killing Hamas negotiators, striking in Lebanon and killing the leader of Hezbollah, the chief negotiator, and leaders of the IRGC and the Palestinian resistance,” Dr. Jim Kavanagh, an independent journalist who joined The Critical Hour said on Tuesday.
“So, if Iran didn't respond in some way that was very strong and that hurts Israel, then they would have lost their legitimacy in the eyes of the Axis of Resistance and those who support the Palestinian resistance against Israel at this point,” he explained.
“I'm worried about this situation. I think Israel kind of wanted something like this to happen. I think they're probably going to respond in a very nasty way, including, maybe even at this point, nuclear weapons. But, the game is on,” he added. “And, the problem is the US supports Israel, is going to support them, whatever Israel does in response. It is a terrible situation. It's the crime of the century and it's the closest we've ever come, I think, to nuclear war.”
Iran Responds to Assassinations With Missile Strikes as Israel Seeks to Expand Conflict
Following Iran’s launch of ballistic missiles at Israel, US crude oil prices rose more than 2%, CNBC reported. An analyst who spoke to the American news source said traders will have to determine if there is a scenario where Iranian oil supplies will be at risk.
“...and the Israeli economy, this is the weakness of Israel. It’s a small country with a small population,” Kavanagh said. “They cannot, and they're not there to fight and be killed and to be blown up and to blow up. They want to have ‘nice’ Western European lives [like] colonial masters, and get rid of the Arabs who are annoying them all the time. And, clearly, this isn't happening. And they're being driven out of the cities near the borders now.”
“...they can't have a war of attrition with Iran or with Hezbollah, and that's why they have to either quickly kill off as many people or drive them out, or stop Iran in some way that's devastating and they think will stop Iran. It's an extremely dangerous situation. And, the most dangerous thing about it is that the US is part of it. The US considers Israel a 51st state," he added.
“American culture and political culture has been thoroughly Zionized. They're committed to Zionism, to the Zionist project. And they and the people in control of this country right now will do anything to prevent the Zionist project from being stopped. And, Israel knows. That's what's at stake now. This spring, two US government authorities on humanitarian assistance concluded that Israel had deliberately blocked deliveries of food and medicine into Gaza, Scheer Post reported. The US Agency for International Development gave Secretary of State Antony Blinken an assessment of what they found, while the State Department’s refugees bureau reported their findings to top diplomats in late April, the report found.
However, US law requires the government to cut weapons shipments to any country that prevents the delivery of US-backed humanitarian aid. The US has not curbed their shipments of weapons to Israel since the war began, but have instead flooded their ally with bombs and other weaponry.
“[Israel] will use every weapon at their disposal before they will relinquish control of Gaza, which is whatever it says what this is about now,” the analyst said. “...the ethnic cleansing and the genocidal attack on Gaza - is not going to stop until the Israelis are forced to give up control of Gaza. All these things we're talking about, the humanitarian aid, etc. Why do the Israelis get to control what humanitarian aid comes into Gaza? The Israelis have no right to control anything about Gaza.”
“And, this is what's at stake now. The Israelis are fighting in Gaza for the expansion of the Zionist project and the continuation of the Zionist project. And the Americans are supporting them 110%. And they won't stop that unless they're hurt, badly hurt, unless there's a price for them to pay, both the Israelis and the Americans, that they decide is too high. And I don't know what that price could possibly be.”
The US government allegedly green-lit Israel’s military attack on Lebanon, The New Republic wrote. US officials reportedly told Israel that the US would support their decision to bomb Hezbollah targets, even with Biden urging a cease-fire. The report names presidential adviser Amos Hochstein and White House coordinator for the Middle East Brett McGurk, who told Israeli officials that the US supported their strategy to launch military attacks on Lebanon.
However, when asked on Monday if he was comfortable with Israel’s ground invasion of Lebanon, Biden said, “I am comfortable with them stopping. We should have a cease-fire now.”
“[Biden is] talking as if he's a spectator of this. He's not a spectator. He's giving all the weapons. The Israelis say it time and time again. They've said that we could not do this without the weapons you give us. So this is an American project."
“And this, go[es] back to the fact that [...] Israel is not entitled under US law to a dime of American aid because they have nuclear weapons and they're not a signatory to the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty. And the US government has to lie every year. The president has to certify to Congress that Israel doesn't have nuclear weapons in order to, or else it would be against the law to give them any kind of aid. So, this is going on forever," Kavanagh explained.
"And, I don't know what's going to stop it, but we're in it. We're getting to a stage where there's a military fight over it and that is going to decide at least for the next 10, 20 years what's going to happen.”

Russia and China prove great powers can be good neighbors – Lavrov.
The two countries are marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, have hailed the strategic partnership between the two nations in complementary articles published on Thursday.
Wednesday marked the 75th anniversary of formal diplomatic relations between Moscow and Beijing. The date came just two days after the People’s Republic of China celebrated its 75th birthday. The Soviet Union was the first internationally recognized nation to establish formal ties with the new Chinese government, and helped it rebuild the country following the devastating civil war in which the communists prevailed over nationalist forces.
Lavrov and Wang noted that the two nations have overcome what the Chinese minister called “bumps” over the past three-quarters of a century. Initially allies, the USSR and PRC had a major falling-out in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Territorial disputes were fully resolved only in 2005.
“Working in the spirit of good-neighborhood, friendship and cooperation, we have managed to build model relations for neighboring great powers,” Lavrov said of the progress made.

The partnership is based on the principles of mutual respect, non-interference in domestic affairs, the absence of ideological aspects of the relationship, and mutual support on the world stage, he added.
The strong current ties bring tangible economic benefits for the Russian and Chinese populations, the senior officials stated. Western economic pressure through trade restrictions has seriously altered bilateral commerce, with Russian energy and foodstuffs prominent in the Chinese market, while mobile phones and cars are flowing in the opposite direction. Cooperation is also growing in terms of direct investment, joint technological projects, education, tourism, and other areas.
Moscow and Beijing, which together champion a new multipolar world order, are benefiting non-Western countries, Lavrov and Wang said. They are “opposing hegemony and power politics, illegal unilateral sanctions and ‘long-arm jurisdiction’, [and] interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. The two parties actively seek opportunities and development for the countries of the ‘Global South’,” the Chinese minister wrote.
Lavrov claimed that unlike the US and its “satellites,” Russia and China seek to deflate international tensions.

“Since the system of security in Europe and Euro-Atlantic has been totally discredited by the actions of the US and other NATO members, we support serious joint work on the formation of a new architecture of Eurasian security in line with the principle of ‘regional solutions for regional problems’,” he wrote.

France’s Policy ‘Completely Aligned With the US’ - Analyst.
French President Emmanuel Macron earlier urged Israel to stop its military operation in Lebanon, reaffirming France's commitment to United Nations Interim Force in this Middle Eastern country.
Commenting on Paris helping Israel against Iran and supporting Lebanon at the same time, retired French army colonel, Alain Corvez, told Sputnik that it’s a "terrible" situation as there is "no normal diplomacy" in France.
"We [France] have lost our sovereignty. We don't decide. The decisions are not taken in Paris. They are decisions which have been elaborated in Brussels and Brussels is the bridge to Washington. We have adopted all the strategic thinking of the US," Corvez, international strategy and international relations consultant of the French defense and interior ministries, said.
France doesn’t pursue a sovereign policy, focusing instead on supporting the policy of the US and Israel, he added. According to Corvez, the policy of France is "now completely aligned with American policy."
"We have to recover our sovereignty of decisions. […] It's a shame. Each time [French President Emmanuel] Macron is going to Beirut, to Lebanon, he is the envoy of Washington. He's not officially the envoy, but the Lebanese political parties know that he's coming to support Israel’s and Washington's policy," the expert concluded.

Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

IN UKRAINE, THE MIDDLE EAST & ELSEWHERE THE WEST IS INCAPABLE OF POSITIVE CHANGE
There is a certain inevitability in the descent of the West. It could almost be said to be in its DNA; its unavoidable karmic "reward" for all its crimes.
The two Ukrainian regimes that followed in the wake of the US-supported insurrection in Kiev in 2014 have brought their country to the brink of destruction. Prodded on by the USA and its allies the Ukrainian people, who once lived in peace despite using different languages and having different geopolitical affiliations have been torn apart. This could not have occurred without western insistence that an opportunity must be taken to weaken Russia. It has been this desire to maintain western dominance in the face of the rise of others and the subsequent decision to use war as a means to achieve this that has brought us here.
The mania of western elites to always be top dogs on our planet and their inability to accept that this ambition is fast slipping from them has directly led to a world now predisposed to be always at war.
It is manifest destiny they say in the corridors of power in Washington that they are the warders, guardians and world police. Only they have the power and influence to achieve the full spectrum dominance required to govern with global reach. It is their destiny, they will say, their duty, responsibility and solemn requirement to engage the rest of the world and transform it for its own good. But what good do we see emerging from this overweening and constant desire to interfere worldwide? Can anyone honestly say they see the light at the end of this pitch black tunnel of unending western ambition?
Afghanistan went wrong after twenty years of ‘feel good’ reports sent back to Washington by military commanders who dared not speak of the truth. Iraq, left to its own devices after one mistake after another by the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ now wants all western forces out. Libya now looks toward the east and the BRICS, not toward the West. Saudi Arabia, the West’s great ally in the Middle East is now in BRICS. Even Turkey, a supposedly stalwart NATO member is approaching BRICS with a view to joining along with a host of others.
The world is turning against the shrinking western coalition of braggarts and bullies who have held sway for so long now. Now we see the backlash that has been building year on year as western dominance brought nothing but fears, threat, criminality and state terrorism and, ultimately, the inevitability of a forever war actively perpetually sought by western neocon maniacs. No sane man or woman could ever support this. All it needed for the backlash to occur was the rise of those the USA and its allies now seek to destroy.
Russia led the way against the warmongering juggernaut of the West. In 2007 in Munich Vladimir Putin described in detail how the era of the West getting its own way and commanding others with threats that they better follow, were over. He laid down a marker that will always be remembered as the starting point for the revolt against the West that, if we all work for it, will lead inevitably to a multipolar world.
China, is the backstop nation that, with its economic power, allows the others to finally revolt against the West and dare to reject it and its array of bribes, threats and criminal violence. Without China Russia could not stand against the West and others along with Russia would continue to be exploited and bullied into submission.
Russia’s special military operation against the Ukrainian regime is now poised to show the entire world that the West not only can be resisted, it can be beaten. The final nails are being hammered into the coffin of western hegemony in Ukraine. The last vestiges of its brutal abuse of power will now be seen to dissipate, through its defeat in Ukraine and its coming defeat in the Middle East.
Humiliation is something the West is used to foisting on others through the vast historical abuses it has perpetrated. Now humiliation is coming home to those who meted it out for centuries. With the triumph of Russia and the defeat of Israel, with the political demise of every pro-war leader in Europe, with the collapse of NATO and the continuing rise of nations opposing western hegemony, the West will be utterly humiliated, weakened and ultimately quarantined, no longer able to abuse the remaining power left to it.
The West’s defeat in Ukraine will be complete. Russia, strengthened on all fronts, from its economy to its increasing number of partners, to its social cohesion and military strength will arrive in a place of insurmountable glory… just as the entire West meets deindustrialization and social collapse. A just end to a sordid period in world history where a native population suffered genocide, where millions were enslaved and used as unpaid labor, where entire nations were enslaved as colonial acquisitions and where all was attempted to be imprisoned within a western military vice.
There will be no going back. Russia’s victory in Ukraine will be such a heavy blow that it will ensure this is so. The defeat of Israel and the triumph of the Palestinians along with Iran will land the final blows.
It could all have been very different. However, the impulse to enslave, exploit, threaten, abuse and use the most violent methods possible is endemic to the West. Its leaders have no ability to relieve themselves of the vicious and malignant habits of their forebears. It is now deep in their DNA. They are incapable of change. Which is why we, and the Ukrainians, are where we are now.
