A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.

The Russian military in Russia's Kursk Region has created a reliable ring of encirclement of the Ukrainian armed forces and is now clamping this ring and has begun to liquidate the grouping, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.
"Through joint efforts they [Russian soldiers] have created a fairly reliable ring of encirclement and are now squeezing this ring, have begun to eliminate this group of forces," Putin told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin, as broadcast by the Rossiya 24 channel, adding that the management of the Ukrainian troops, according to prisoners of war, is disrupted inside the enclave, and panic is growing.

Moscow remains willing to negotiate a resolution of the Ukraine conflict, in which both sides would make compromises, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
Putin was asked how his government envisioned the end of the hostilities with Ukraine during a late night interview on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, which Russian media released on Friday morning.
“Any outcome should be favorable to Russia, and I say that directly,” he said. That said, Moscow does not rule out compromises on its part as long as they are “rational,” the Russian leader added. Unfortunately, Ukraine’s unwillingness to negotiate renders moot any discussions of what Moscow would be willing to offer.
Putin said Moscow had recently received a proposal from Ankara to discuss a possible deal, which an aide to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said was coming from Kiev.
“We agreed to it, and the next day [Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky] publicly announced that he will not negotiate anything,” the president said. “This is irrational behavior, which is hard to predict. No plans can be based on this foundation. So there is no sense in discussing whether we would reach an agreement and what it would be,” Putin explained.
The remarks came as a follow-up to a long press conference that Putin gave on the final day of the BRICS gathering, during which he mentioned communications with an unnamed Turkish official and Kiev’s apparent U-turn on it. The message was relayed by Ibrahim Kalin, who currently heads the Turkish intelligence service MIT, Putin revealed in the interview.

Western intelligence services have trained Ukrainian saboteurs to carry out provocations at Russian nuclear power plants, Moscow’s permanent representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, has claimed.
The attempts by Ukraine to target nuclear facilities inside Russia are “beyond reckless” and could end up plunging the European continent “into a radiation nightmare,” Nebenzia warned during an unofficial meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday.
The authorities in Moscow “have credible information that Western intelligence agencies, primarily the British MI6, have systematically prepared Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to organize provocations at nuclear power plants in Russia.”
Among other things, Kiev and its foreign backers were working on an operation to blow up power lines connecting the nuclear plants with the Russian national energy grid, the envoy stressed.
He recalled how throughout the conflict, “representatives of certain countries” had accused Moscow, “contrary to common sense, of destabilizing the security situation around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), which is under our control.” The facility was secured by Russian troops in March 2022.

According to Nebenzia, those making such claims “do their best to ignore the obvious fact that regular and reckless attacks against the ZNPP are a deliberate terrorist strategy of Ukraine.”
Moscow and Kiev have repeatedly accused each other of shelling Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, and the Russian Defense Ministry has said that several attempts by Ukrainian assault units to retake it have been repelled. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed attacks on the ZNPP, but declined to name the responsible party.
"But recent events undermine the arguments of all those who try to shelter the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the case of the ZNPP,” the envoy said, referring to Kiev’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region, which began in early August.
"There is irrefutable evidence that Kiev was also plotting to attack the Nuclear Power Plant in Kursk,” with the Ukrainians planning to capture and mine the facility, he stressed.
It is fortunate that the Russian military prevented the Ukrainian forces from reaching the nuclear plant, thus averting a “genuine man-made disaster and a large-scale technogenic catastrophe in Europe,” Nebenzia said.

The Russian envoy has once again called upon international bodies, including the UN and the IAEA, to condemn the “provocative actions” by Ukraine and prevent further attempts to undermine the security of the nuclear sites in Zaporozhye and Kursk.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has canceled planned talks with Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic, citing his previous meeting with a Russian official.
Von der Leyen arrived in Belgrade on Friday as part of her Balkans tour. She met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and was supposed to meet Vucevic as well.
“We canceled the meeting with the prime minister after his meeting with the Russian economy minister,” the EU ambassador to Serbia Emmanuel Gioffre told AFP, noting that Serbia had signaled that it intends to “strengthen its economic relations with Russia.”
Vucevic had met with Russian Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov, whom he thanked for Moscow’s support for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Serbia greatly appreciates this support and will not forget,” Vucevic said. He also expressed thanks that Moscow had invited Belgrade to take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan earlier this week.
Vucic had said he would not attend, citing the visits by Von der Leyen and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, but several cabinet ministers and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin went to Kazan and took part in the BRICS meetings.
Reshetnikov conveyed Moscow’s appreciation for Serbia’s refusal to join the EU in implementing sanctions against Russia. Serbia declared military neutrality and has repeatedly shrugged off pressure from Brussels to “harmonize its foreign policy” with that of the EU.

Both Vucic and the cabinet have pointed out more than once the hypocrisy and double standards of the West in insisting on Ukraine’s borders, while demanding Serbia recognize its province of Kosovo as an independent state run by NATO-backed ethnic Albanians.
Serbia is officially determined to join the EU, but the bloc has conditioned its membership on sanctioning Russia and recognizing Kosovo – among other things – which Vucic has vowed he will never do.

According to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, BRICS Bridge is a unified payment system currently under development, though it cannot be classified as a direct alternative to SWIFT.
“This system will enable us to replace traditional banking organizations while simultaneously facilitating a mechanism for transmitting financial messages,” Siluanov explained.
The BRICS Bridge will be built on innovative formats and approaches that consider the integration of digital financial assets.

BRICS Clear
Under the Kazan Declaration, BRICS countries will work to create their own independent depository system, BRICS Clear, which is to complement the existing financial infrastructure and will be regulated by relevant departments from the group’s member states.
Siluanov earlier stated that BRICS Clear would operate on the basis of distributed ledger-related technologies. According to him, the system is needed for accounting and trading of securities, as well as for investment activity. BRICS Clear will only be available to the group’s members.
BRICS Pay
BRICS Pay, a cashless payment service for foreign nationals (including those from non-member states), is expected to launch in Russia by the end of this year, according to BRICS spokesman Andrey Mikhailishin. In 2025, the service may also extend to Russian tourists visiting Turkiye, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.

Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

The depth of cynicism currently being displayed in the attempt to save the reputation of Joe Biden regarding Ukraine should make everyone sick to their stomachs.
Joe Biden has a long track history in relation to Ukraine. Sent by Barack Obama to essentially supervise America’s war there he has retained a morbid interest in pursuing that war ever since. Now that it has become clear that that war is being lost at an inconvenient time every effort is being made to keep the regime and its hapless army in place till Biden exits. It would not look good in his bio if the Ukraine war was lost on his watch. What kind of a legacy would that be?
Imagine the situation as it exists now. The Ukrainian army is down to forcibly snatching men off the street, giving them a few weeks training and then sending them to the most dangerous positions near the front lines. It is no exaggeration to call these men cannon-fodder. It is known that the most highly trained troops are being kept in reserve while the newbies are delivered to face the ‘meat grinder’ as best they can. It is highly unlikely they will even see a Russian soldier. The last known estimate of life expectancy for the average newbie arrival was around four hours. It is bad enough when the Ukrainian army is holding its own against the Russians. But totally cruel when the war is clearly lost and the whole exercise is just to get Joe to the exit reputation relatively unblemished.
It was known from relatively near the start how this would end. As soon as the western sanctions regime failed to weaken Russia, and the global majority refused to get on side with the western powers, Russia was always going to win. The Russian simply had an overwhelming preponderance of the resources required and in every regard. With over 1,000 km of frontline it was always going to take some time. But the end result was never in doubt once it was clear that Russia’s income stream would remain unaffected by the attacks made upon it by the West.
Neither could Russia afford to lose, far too much was at stake regarding its national security. The only thing that could have stopped Russia winning would have been direct intervention in Ukraine by the western powers via NATO. That option was barred right at the start due to the inevitability of a wider war erupting, quite possibly leading to an all-out nuclear war with Russia if that fateful step was taken. This was not from lack of trying by Zelensky and his minions. His recently unveiled ‘Victory Plan’ pleads for this as well as an immediate invite into NATO and the West guiding missiles deep into Russia.
With no NATO invite, no direct western military involvement in Ukraine and no strikes deep inside Russia Zelensky’s plan completely collapses. Nothing apart from these refused requests is going to significantly change the trajectory of the war. Even if Zelensky hangs on to a fraction of the already shrinking area of incursion within the Kursk region of Russia, even if the fabled F16s start to go on missions at long last, even if another thousand tanks and missiles are provided… Russia can more than match everything. The war is lost. There is no hope whatsoever for the Ukrainian regime’s victory. All such hope is fantastical wishful thinking and a willful state of denial.
So why are we now in this absurd position where Russia is clearly moving forward taking ever more land in a steady grinding down of the Ukrainian opposition with no sign of calls for talks to end this? The policy of western leaders is clearly to encourage Ukraine to fight to the last Ukrainian while the cause is lost without any possible shadow of a doubt. There are no miracles in such a one-sided war. Besides all else Russia has massive air superiority, superiority of ammunition and missile supply and a fast-expanding army able to replenish itself and provide regular rotation.
Ukraine cannot possibly hope for divine intervention. So what now?
The Ukrainian army by its own admission is near exhaustion. It’s best troops have either left the battlefield dead or wounded over the last two and a half years or are being held in reserve while the rookies are pushed forward to their inevitable slaughter. Meanwhile Zelensky’s decree prohibiting talking to the Russians stands and no western politicians other than Viktor Orban of Hungary and Robert Fico of Slovakia are willing to talk with them. This while the compassion-worthy, mostly quite elderly, Ukrainian men dragooned into the army and sent to die will not die for Ukraine, they will die only to save the reputation of Joe Biden and nothing more. Talks to end the lost war of the West should have begun long ago and the chances in Minsk and Istanbul should not have been squandered. Now upwards of a hundred thousand Ukrainians will certainly have died by the time Joe Biden leaves the White House in one of the greatest and most sickening political scandals of modern times.
