VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch because it's the first and last time you will see this.
5 women and 3 men died, all civilians.

MICHAEL PARENTI: FIRST YUGOSLAVIA now UKRAINE.
Article published by Russia Today (RT) - 27th March 2023:
Washington’s chronic disinterest in conflict exit strategies doesn’t bode well for Ukraine.
The US has started or inserted itself into multiple wars in recent years – none of which ended in peace and stability.
"We've said it before and we’ll say it again today that if coming out of this meeting, there’s some sort of call for a ceasefire, well, that’s just going to be unacceptable," US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said on FOX News Sunday referring to the meeting in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The truth is that an off-ramp from armed conflict has never really proven to be a desired outcome for Washington. This is understandable when the US establishment elites seem to have more to gain than to lose from continued conflict in Ukraine. “The Ukrainians have proven that they are a really good investment for the United States,” former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said last December. “They are not asking us to be there to fight their war; they’re fighting it themselves.” But it’s the US establishment that reaps the benefits of billions of dollars of US taxpayer cash poured into the military-industrial complex under the guise of defense spending for Ukraine.
There’s also the added bonus of having the entire European Union now more dependent on US energy, and its businesses bailing to the US in the wake of Brussels cutting itself off from the cheap Russian energy, on which the continent’s economy was built.
The month of March serves as a convenient reminder that US-led wars don’t have exit strategies, only segues or bridges to even more quagmires. Two such events come to mind that were both started in March of years past, in Iraq and Libya.
The invasion of Iraq was itself just a segue from the invasion of Afghanistan which was set off when a group of Saudis attacked the US homeland on September 11, 2001. But who cares about details. Better to take everyone out that isn’t clearly onside with Washington, just to be sure. While the notion may sound ridiculous, it was the actual basis for a defense policy strategy concocted in 1992 by then undersecretary of defense, Paul Wolfowitz, under Defense Secretary Dick Cheney. It underscored the need to orient US defense actions to “prevent the re-emergence of a new rival” to the US in the wake of the Cold War. Although officially rejected by the White House at the time, the theme later became the basis for the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) think tank, whose ideas of using national security as a pretext for overthrowing countries around the world that didn’t adhere to Washington’s agenda were aggressively peddled by neoconservatives. PNAC was co-founded in 1997 by Robert Kagan (the spouse of current undersecretary of state for political affairs and Russia regime change proponent, Victoria Nuland) and provided a blueprint for endless war with no exit.
Retired four-star US Army General Wesley Clark, the former commander of NATO allied operations, told the Commonwealth Club of California in 2007 that the US reaction to 9/11 was a “a policy coup” in which “some hard-nosed people took over the direction of American policy, and they never bothered to inform the rest of us.”
Clark said that in the wake of 9/11, an officer from the Pentagon conveyed to him the contents of a memo from then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s office that indicated the US was “going to attack and destroy the governments in seven countries in five years.” Those countries, Clark said, were Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran – all considered to be client nations of Russia. There was a rush, the general said, to bring them under US control.
So it’s no wonder that there was no real effort to end any recent US-led wars beyond leveraging them to spring-board from one country to another while leaving behind weapons, Western-trained jihadists, and general chaos when the neocons who supported the very idea of it dominate the national security establishment. The fact that all of it risked spilling into neighbouring nations at worst just served as a convenient pretext to take out yet another adjacent unsympathetic government or leader.
Who’s to say that the weapons dumped into Ukraine today and US-backed radicals won’t ultimately plague other European nations someday, requiring Washington-style assistance with securing ‘freedom and democracy’?
Terrorism ultimately replaced the Cold War as the convenient scarecrow to drum up business for the defense industry and spawned the surveillance-industrial complex and development of the Western internet ecosystem, as detailed by former intelligence community whistleblower, Edward Snowden. However, two decades after 9/11, the war on terror is losing traction with the public.
With Russia expanding its influence globally as a result of helping other countries clean up Western interventionist messes, a new threat to Washington’s global dominance emerged and the Cold War was conveniently rebooted. This new Cold War is just Washington’s exit strategy from the decreasingly lucrative terrorism war – which is really the only kind of exit strategy it seems to be interested in.
Loading up Ukraine with weapons and training neo-Nazis on the Western border of Russia was only one aspect of a hybrid strategy to frame Russia as the new scarecrow, which also conveniently spawned the emergence of entire new multibillion dollar defense and security industries, like 'cybersecurity', to target the 'Russian threat'.
Western leaders are now talking about the need for a Ukrainian battlefield victory against Russia and denouncing negotiations. Why let peace get in the way of a cash cow? European nations have also started following in Washington’s footsteps in using the Ukraine conflict as a pretext for bolstering their own industrial bases by ramping up weapons production with the help of billions in cash from Brussels.
With Western Europe’s industries suffering from high energy costs, it’s a poor consolation prize for having followed Washington into yet another misguided military adventure. But the real concern should be for Ukrainians who apparently haven’t grasped the fact that a victory for Washington, in Ukraine or anywhere else, has never meant an exit or end – just the prolongation and continued expansion of chaos.

SUPPORTING SCOTT RITTER
I've been listening to Scott Ritter describe how things are for him and I suspect have been for him for quite some time now.
He has been doing a LOT of unpaid work with a great many interview requests coming in that he has been ready and willing to agree to. But the work where receives some pay for have suffered due to this, being left until the wee small hours of the night to complete work on.
Scott, I think you will agree, has been one of the most influential voices out there on Russia and Ukraine.
I was moved by Scott's words to take an annual subscription to his Substack account that he runs in coordination with his colleague on 'U.S. Tour of Duty', Jeff Norman. This is the main way that Scott recommends to help him with finances with which to upgrade his delivery of comment on Russia and Ukraine, via a better microphone etc. and perhaps the creation of a recording studio in his basement to create a more professional and impressive look. To invest in these things he would like to be sure that this has a viable financial future.
Would you also like to help by subscribing at one of the various levels to Scott's Substack account? I hope so. If so the link is here:
Below you'll find the edited part of the video where Scott talks of his commitments to get the facts out on events in Ukraine and of the finances that would come in handy to enhance their delivery:

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

WEST-CENTRIC MYOPIA IS MEETING THE BRICK WALL OF A NEW REALITY
It has been a long run… but it is almost over.
For decade after decade the western world has prided itself on being numero uno. In fact this impression was so ingrained within its cultures that it became a given, the constant background of almost unlimited power and influence to be wielded at will.
This brought about a virtual monopoly on such power and influence. It was blithely applied to all and sundry as if it was as natural as rain and to boot considered as manna from the western heaven.
Western elites built up a myth of goodness, probity and helpfulness that covered a multitude of sins that all humanity is prey to. No group of human beings are immune to ambition, to a desire to expand their area of control and to battle, in one way or another, with those they conceive of as competition or adversaries. But to depict themselves as belonging to the highest states that humanity can aspire to and then engage in mass slaughter in recent years, was not a good look.
Then there were the lies. The numerous lies.
Of course these and much else besides that belied the self-sanctification of western elites was well known… for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. MK Ultra, Operation Paperclip and Mockingbird… the assassination attempts, the coup conspiracies, the wars… the many wars. Eyes had surely been opened. Ears assailed by these facts from a plethora of commentators. But no. The myths prevailed in the general public consciousness of the majority in the West. Their guys were good guys… weren’t they?
And so things went on from one exceptional duty to enforce an inalienable right to another with a trail of blood always left to remind anyone who needed reminding that they should mind their behaviour or they might be next.
It seemed as if this state of affairs might continue forever with the West led indefatigably by the U.S. and UK knights of the holy sword defeating all the world’s demons with a little help from their friends. But hey, something very strange has happened to put all such seeming certainties into question.
In part it has been the taking of an extremely large and blunt hammer to problems such as those perceived by western elites in the Middle East. As the saying goes, when all you have is a hammer each problem looks like a nail. Blunt force has been recognised as such across many nations… though most have held their peace… until now.
With Russia asserting her right of self-protection and that of its people in Ukraine we see a situation where the thus far hidden disagreements with past western interventions are being shown in broad daylight visible to all.
Even the apparently very close ally of the West, Saudi Arabia is showing a striking, and in fact shocking, reluctance to bow westward as it has for many decades now. India too, a nation relied upon by the western powers to be neutral if not an ally to be wooed, is now showing it has no intention of abandoning Russia as a nation to work and trade with. Within Europe Hungary strongly resists being pulled into a condemnatory alliance against Russia. And in Africa various states are looking to Russia to help solve their economic and nutritional problems and build their infrastructure along with China.
The sea change in international politics has been astonishing to watch and continues in the vein apparently with no perceptible end to this process and progress toward a multipolar world where power is shared and the impetus is behind agreement and trade with arm-twisting, threats and accusations very much a thing of the West-dominated past.
Jaws must surely be dropping and anger and confusion rising to previously unheard of peaks as it becomes a matter of crystal clear observation that the power and influence held almost as of right by the West has largely already slipped from its grasp.
