VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.

US wants Ukraine to fight Russia on tight budget – NYT.
The Pentagon is advising Kiev on a new strategy after the failed summer counteroffensive, according to the newspaper.
Lackluster results from Kiev’s summer counteroffensive against Russia and problems faced by the White House in appropriating more aid for Ukraine are forcing a rethink of military strategy for the entire conflict, the New York Times reported on Monday.
Washington is pushing for a conservative, defensive approach next year that would involve fighting “on a tighter budget,” the newspaper said, citing sources in the US government.
However, Ukrainian generals and senior officials are planning a bold push forward, which their American counterparts believe to be based on “unrealistic expectations” about future military assistance. Kiev wants artillery shells in quantities that do not exist in Western stockpiles, skeptics told the Times.
As Washington pushes Kiev into adopting its approach, General Christopher G. Cavoli, the top American commander in Europe, has taken a bigger role in dealing with the Ukrainians, the report said. The Pentagon will also have Lt. Gen. Antonio A. Aguto Jr. visit Kiev frequently to “work more directly with the country’s military leadership to improve the advice the United States is offering.”
Moscow perceives the Ukraine conflict as part of a US-led proxy war against Russia, in which it believes Washington is making all the key calls. The US government maintains that it is only providing Kiev with what it needs to win, leaving the decision making to Ukrainian officials.
The US and Ukraine have been blaming each other for the outcome of the six-month-long counteroffensive, in which Kiev sought to capture territories controlled by Russian forces. It has declared a return to pre-2014 borders as the only acceptable outcome of the conflict. The Russian Defense Ministry has estimated Kiev’s losses during the push at more than 125,000 troops and 6,000 heavy weapons.
The NYT said American officials are arguing that Ukraine does not need to retake land, just score “some strategic and symbolic victories” to strengthen its hand before “calls for peace talks to end the war inevitably restart.”
The newspaper did not provide any insight into whether the White House believes that Kiev will ultimately have to accept territorial concessions to Russia. Republican Senator J.D. Vance suggested this was the case during a CNN interview on Sunday. He claimed that “nobody actually believes” Kiev will achieve its stated goal and that Washington should not write “more blank checks” to support that ambition.

Last week, GOP opposition in the US Congress succeeded in blocking a White House request for more than $110 billion in foreign security funding, including for Ukraine.

The euro area’s economy has now registered two consecutive quarters of contraction, the outlet says.
The 20-nation euro currency bloc will slip into its first recession since the pandemic in the final months of the year, after recording two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth, a Bloomberg poll of analysts revealed on Monday.
Gross domestic product (GDP) in the Eurozone shrank by 0.1% between September and December, compared to the previous forecast of a flat performance, with economists expecting a moderate recovery next year.
“We doubt that we're at the start of an upswing,” said Joerg Angele, an economist at Bantleon Bank. “Headwinds remain strong, especially the ones stemming from the massive increase of interest rates.”
In its report last week, the statistics agency Eurostat attributed the downturn to shrinking industrial production in the euro area, indicating the region's enduring weakness.
The recession is largely attributed to the slowdown in Germany, as the EU's largest economy continues to struggle with a combination of poor external demand, a budget crisis, high interest rates, and a protracted fallout from last year's energy crisis.

Germany is expected to see a 0.2% downturn in the fourth quarter, more than the 0.1% decline initially projected.
Bloomberg's survey followed a downward revision of growth in the 20 countries that use the euro as their currency, for the last quarter of 2023.
The results of the poll came in contrast to the European Commission's November forecast, which predicted the euro area would return to growth in the final months of the year, driven by a retreat in inflation and a strong jobs market.
Economists expect inflation in the Eurozone to ease somewhat only through September 2024, and to remain elevated well above the European Central Bank's target of 2%.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

ZELENSKY, AUTHOR OF HIS OWN DEMISE… AND JUST POSSIBLY OF HIS ENTIRE NATION
What we have seen from the Ukrainian president in his constant interference in Ukrainian battle plans has more to do with theatre for the western powers' consumption than valid battle tactics. (The correspondence with the interference by Adolf Hitler in WWII is worthy of some attention.)
The western powers control the purse strings, without the financial support of western nations the entire edifice of Ukrainian opposition to Russia crumbles and falls. Therefore, Zelensky, almost since the very start of this conflict has been concerned with making a show of things for the westerners. However, his ability to make any kind of show of things is fast reducing. His options are far fewer now.
The barefaced lies of previous times won't prove effective now. Russia is fast gaining total ascendancy right across the battlefront and not only there. The Russian economy is robust and expanding, more and more nations are showing just how much they trust Russia as an ally as opposed to the USA and others in the West who have proven to be the most fickle of friends and who are now very little short of being seen as outright enemies.
Zelensky can do nothing. The die is set for him. He cannot relent and allow negotiations. If he does this the Nazi-mentality extremists in Ukraine will find a way to off him and perhaps his whole family. He knows this. So he cannot do what is necessary. But also he appears unwilling to let go of power. Therefore, he MUST be removed by one means or another... before Ukraine ceases to be a viable state in any form.
The end is coming for Zelensky, one way or another, and perhaps for the very existence of the nation known by the name Ukraine.
It may well be that Zelensky had no other decent cards to play. Elected on a platform of bringing peace to the conflict in eastern Ukraine he almost immediately betrayed all who had voted for him. The events which persuaded him to do this may one day be known, however to this day we do not know them. Most likely he was told in no uncertain terms by the most bloodthirsty ideological militants in western Ukraine that to do so would bring his speedy demise. It is difficult to see what other factors, other than, as we have perennially seen through the conflict, the influence of the Americans and their chief ally, Britain.
Zelensky must surely have known he was on a hiding to nothing no matter WHICH way he jumped. The safest in those early months of his presidency when faced with very real threats against his life was to abandoned all thoughts of being a peacemaker and get in line with all the voices stridently advocating more war. From that time to since he has not varied from a stance of some fantastical and absolutist victory over Russia. This will have pleased the most bloodthirsty and hateful but ultimately it will seal his demise. The Ukrainian army, no matter how much weaponry they received from western sponsors was NEVER going to defeat a Russia fighting for its security in the face of not only the nATO threat, not only the desire of western Neocons to weaken it and carve it up, but also from a belligerent next door neighbour that included as its most influence, a vast mass of Nazi-mentality militants swearing avowed allegiance with actual Nazis of WWII.
It can be seen that Zelensky is in the unenviable position of being between the veritable rock and a hard place. You may say, why didn’t he simply resign the presidency when he saw it was a poisoned chalice, drop out of politics altogether and go back to being a comic actor and entertainer. Why not indeed. But this overlooks what must have been immense pressures for him to stay the course. An entire political party now looked to him to lead them, many of them his colleagues from his career in television. Was he to simply abandon them and the party that depended upon him as its figurehead. No, quitting and trying to regain his former life was a forlorn enterprise that he is bound to have recognised as such.
But the end is nigh as they say. His peak of popularity across the western world peaked many months ago now. Now he traipses across the world as a lonely and rather forlorn creature, with his political peers finding him more and more of an embarrassment and not the “hero” he was made out to be not so long ago. Success is attractive, abject failure is most decidedly not. Ukraine’s pre-lauded summer offensive achieved extremely little at the cost of more than one hundred thousand Ukrainian lives. Those minuscule gains are now being swallowed up again by a Russian army incrementally moving forward. Zelensky has nothing, or very close to nothing, to crow about. His exhortation to the Ukrainian army to take 500 metres every day was a sick joke on the day he demanded it and an even sicker joke now.
Zelensky is essentially a dead man walking. He is dead but not quite ready to lie down. All around him are intrigues and mysterious deaths. And his time for disappearing from the stage of history is surely coming, after which he will appear as a historical footnote accounting for his brief rise and precipitous fall, almost Shakespearean in its tragic nature but all too readily associated with the folly that comes with every theatrical farce.
