Trump Eager for Talks With Putin to End Ukrainian Conflict.
US President-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday that he would wait for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to address the resolution to the Ukrainian conflict.
"President Putin said that he wants to meet me as soon as possible. So we have to wait for this, but we have to end that war," Trump said while speaking at the Turning Point USA conference in the state of Arizona.
Trump called the conflict in Ukraine "horrible" and reiterated that if he had been the President of the United States instead of the current head of state, Joe Biden, this conflict would not have happened.
During his election campaign, Trump pledged that he could achieve a resolution to the Ukraine conflict through negotiations, repeatedly claiming he could resolve it in just one day.

During the annual Direct Line session on Thursday, Putin expressed his readiness to meet with Trump.
Russia has repeatedly said that Western arms deliveries to Ukraine hinder the settlement of the conflict and directly involve NATO countries in the conflict. The Kremlin has said that Western arms supplies to Ukraine undermine negotiations and will have long-term negative consequences.

Slovakia’s Robert Fico, who was shot by an activist over his views on Ukraine, has embarked on a surprise visit to the Russian capital.
Russian President Vladimir Putin received Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in the Kremlin on Sunday evening.
Commenting on the talks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he did not know what issues the leaders planned to discuss, but added that “the visit was planned several days ago.”
He also did not rule out that the issue of Russian gas supplies to Slovakia, as well as other foreign policy issues, would be on the agenda. “But we will have to wait until the end of the meeting,” Peskov added.
A hint that talks were afoot came on Saturday when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he’d “unofficially learned” that it was “absolutely certain” that Fico would visit Putin, but suggested this would be on Monday rather than Sunday.

The visit comes after Fico said earlier this month that his government was in “very intense” talks on supplies of natural gas for 2025. The flow of gas to Slovakia, which is dependent on Russian energy, has been jeopardized by Ukraine’s intention to not extend a transit agreement with Moscow which expires on December 31. Russian gas to Slovakia is mainly delivered through the Soviet-era Druzhba (“Friendship”) pipeline.
“I am confident that a solution can be found for [gas supplies] to several EU countries with gas transit via the territory of Slovakia and Ukraine maintained,” Fico previously said.
Fico has been one of the EU leaders most critical of Western support for Ukraine, with his government cutting off state military aid to Kiev. He has also repeatedly urged the EU to drop sanctions against Russia, insisting that the bloc must resume dialogue with Moscow once the conflict is over.
In October Fico, who survived an assassination attempt in May, has revealed that he faced a potential second attempt on his life, due to his stance on the Ukraine conflict. Fico was shot at close range by an activist who opposed the PM’s views on relations with Kiev.

Houthis Claim to Down US F/A-18 in Bold Strike on Aircraft Carrier in Red Sea.
Earlier it was reported that a US Navy F/A-18 fighter jet was shot down by friendly fire during an operation over the Red Sea, with both pilots ejecting safely.
Fighters of the Yemeni Ansar Allah (Houthi) group have repelled joint US-UK air forces attack, shooting down a US Navy F/A-18 fighter jet during their attack on USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, the group’s military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said on Sunday.
“During the operation an F/A 18 jet was shot down attempting to repel the attack [on the US aircraft carrier],” Saree said on air of Almasirah TV channel.
Eight cruise missiles and 17 unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the operation, the spokesman said.
He pointed out that the majority of fighter jets left Yemen’s air space and headed for the neutral waters of the Red Sea trying to repel the attack on the carrier. USS Harry S. Truman left its positions after the strikes, Saree said.
Yemeni Houthis Carry Out Attacks on 2 US Destroyers, Supply Ships in Gulf of Aden
In early December, the Houthis attacked a destroyer and three army supply vessels of the United States with missiles and drones in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.
Earlier in the day, the Associated Press, citing CENTCOM, reported that a US Navy F/A-18 jet was downed by friendly fire over the Red Sea during an attack on Houthi targets. Both pilots ejected safely, with one sustaining minor injuries.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.
