Captured Polish Mercenary Reveals Ukraine Recruits Foreign Fighters Indiscriminately.
A Polish mercenary "who fought alongside Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk People's Republic" was captured by fighters of a Russian volunteer corps, a unit commander told Sputnik.
The captured Polish mercenary explained to Sputnik that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are recruiting foreign fighters indiscriminately through a dedicated website due to manpower shortages.
"It is enough just to find this website, fill out a questionnaire, send a letter, wait for a response. And since I think Ukraine needs people, it is suffering from a shortage of soldiers, they most likely take everyone, they do not turn anyone down," the Polish mercenary said.
The Polish national was captured in the Donetsk People's Republic by fighters from a Russian volunteer corps. A Russian unit commander said the man had fought alongside Ukrainian forces.
Another mercenary – from the United Kingdom – was captured in the Donetsk People’s Republic; he told Sputnik that hundreds of Colombians had signed up with Ukraine's International Legion to fight alongside its armed forces.
"NATO has people in the International Legion... French, Italians, Germans, Americans, English... The most are Colombians. Hundreds," Hayden William Davis, a 30-year-old from Southampton, said.

The training that the mercenaries receive while with the Ukrainian Armed Forces depends on the platoon they are placed in, the Briton said.
"I was heavy guns. We had no heavy guns, so there was no training. We got given two DshKs [heavy machine guns]. No ammo to learn with, to shoot with, nothing like that," Davis added.
He complained about Ukrainian commanders ordering the killing of civilians, including women and children. He said a dozen foreign fighters, who were "not happy with command that are happy to allow war crimes to happen," said they wanted to tear up the contract with the Ukrainian military.
"I was in a position, essentially my job was just a listening post. I personally heard on the radio for someone to kill three men, but I remember hearing one of the commanders saying ‘kill him.’ A different position somewhere, okay, I don't know which position it was, there was, I'm pretty sure it was a woman and teenage boy. They got killed. All of us that were in the listening post, we'd had enough. There was about 12 people that wanted to break contract at that minute," he said.
Davis accused the Ukrainian command of not caring about the military personnel and treating them as if they were meat.
"Your chain of command do not care about you. They do not care. They will use you as meat. They will say you will be on a listening post for three to five days. They will keep you there for 10, and then send you to a different position. I point-blank refused to go to a different position. There was no information. We did not have the equipment," he said.
After Davis left the position, he spent two months hiding in a bunker to avoid what he presumed were Ukrainian drones.
"Another bloke died because of drones and stuff. One bloke ran away. I stayed behind and just took cover. I ended up getting grenaded again. Not by Russians. I believe it was by Ukrainians. By a drone… At that point I decided to find a bunker and I hid in that bunker for nearly two months," Davis said.
Davis was captured by Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr in the Donetsk People's Republic city of Toretsk. He said staying alive was an exception, as most foreigners died in the clashes.

Ex-CIA Analyst Doesn't Buy FBI's NY Day Terror Narrative, Highlights Potential Ukrainian Intel Trace.
Twin violent incidents rocked the US on New Year's Day, with an ex-US Army vet plowing a pickup into a crowd in New Orleans and going down guns blazing in a firefight with police, and an active-duty Green Beret blowing up in a Tesla Cybertruck outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Sputnik asked renowned former CIA analyst Larry Johnson to weigh in.
“Right now, the FBI is trying to present this as what they call a ‘lone wolf individual’, acting on his own by himself. I know that’s the story. I don’t find it to be particularly credible,” Johnson said, commenting on the terror attack that rocked New Orleans and claimed scores of lives January 1.
“Let’s start with the fact that the initial news reports presented this as a further sign of the lack of control over immigration in the United States. This had nothing to do with illegal migrants. These were two US citizens, both,” Johnson emphasized, adding that both men were also affiliated with the Army.
“It’s a threat from within,” the observer said, calling reports that the New Orleans attacker was affiliated with ISIS* “curious and ironic,” given the US government’s habit of labeling people terrorists and then working with them, whether in Syria today or Afghanistan going back to the 1980s.
The second problem is the FBI’s utter lack of credibility, highlighted by Russiagate, Johnson said.
“The FBI said while there's no evidence that [the New Orleans attacker] was working with anybody else. I gotta be honest, I don't trust the FBI. The FBI has a history of lying, absolute lying and fabricating. They fabricated the whole Russiagate affair,” Johnson recalled, citing the debunked claim hatched by the Clinton campaign in 2016 and taken up by the FBI in 2016 about Donald Trump’s alleged ‘collusion’ with Russia.

“I can't rule out the possibility that this individual was acting as part of a broader effort to create chaos and instability in the United States prior to the inauguration of Donald Trump to prevent Trump from being inaugurated. Because Trump is seen as a potential existential threat to organizations like the FBI, the CIA, [and] the Department of Justice,” the veteran former intel analyst said.
Johnson also has a number of other questions regarding the New Orleans incident, like who really planted the two discovered IEDs, and where the money came from, given that the suspect was reportedly broke, and served in the Army’s HR department, meaning he had no special explosives or firearms training.
The Las Vegas suspect on the other hand, as an active-duty special forces NCO, “did have the training with weapons and explosives, which in turn begs the question of how did he blow himself up?” Johnson asked, adding that the social media photo of the suspect wearing a ‘Slava Ukraini’ T-shirt begs the question of whether he ever traveled to Ukraine or had any contacts with Ukrainian intelligence.
“Because this very well could have been tied into Ukraine. Carrying out an attack on the Trump Tower. Because they recognize Donald Trump is going to potentially bring an end to this war,” Johnson said.
At the moment, there are more questions than solid answers on all counts, the observer summed up.

Slovak PM Threatens to Cut Support for Ukrainians in Slovakia Over Gas Transit Dispute.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has threatened that his party, Smer-SD, is ready to support reducing assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia in response to Ukraine's suspension of Russian gas transit.
"On behalf of Smer-SD, I say that we are ready to discuss and agree within the coalition to halt electricity supplies and significantly reduce support for Ukrainian citizens on Slovak territory," Fico stated in a video message posted on his social media.
He expressed hope that his government coalition partners would also take the situation of the suspended gas transit through Ukraine seriously.
"On Tuesday, a government delegation will take part in negotiations in Brussels, where Ukrainian politicians had the audacity to complain about us for being ready to take reciprocal measures, for example, by stopping electricity supplies to Ukraine. After the delegation returns from Brussels, the coalition and then the government will convene. We will discuss the measures that we will take to adequately respond to [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky's sabotage," Fico said.

An agreement between Russia’s Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz was concluded on December 30, 2019 and expired on Tuesday. Earlier in December, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ruled out extending the gas transit deal with Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 26 that Kiev's lawsuit against Moscow made a new gas deal impossible.
Last year, Gazprom supplied about 15 billion cubic meters via the pipeline in Ukraine, which accounted for 4.5% of total EU consumption and supplied Moldova and four EU countries, including Slovakia, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.
