“Ukraine. What is the truth...?
Why won’t western media tell both sides…?”
VIRTUALLY UNREPORTED ATROCITY IN LUGANSK, 2nd JUNE 2014
A lot has been said about atrocities in the western media claimed to have been perpetrated by the Russians, for example at Bucha and Mariupol among others. These assertions are conveyed on the say so of the Ukrainian authorities. How willing though are western news broadcasters to convey atrocities attributed to the Ukrainians? The following will I think provide the answer.
If anyone wonders if they are receiving accurate coverage of the conflict in Ukraine I would suggest watching the video below of an event which occurred on the 2nd of June 2014 and ask themselves if they recall hearing about it on any mainstream media news channel at the time.
The video is harrowing to watch. The bodies (five women and three men) are real. Yet across western media there was only one single news report that occurred a day later. This was from CNN and occurred only because a CNN team happened to be nearby at the time of the atrocity and so the network could hardly ignore it as all others so obviously did.
The video below shows the unvarnished truth that was not considered newsworthy in western mainstream news.
THE SINGLE WESTERN MSM REPORT ON THE LUGANSK ATROCITY, 3rd JUNE 2014
The video at the CNN link below is the crime scene sanitised by CNN, though played straight with honest reporting on the scene not playing things to Kiev’s tune.
(There was a time early in the war in the Donbass when CNN were not afraid to contradict the Ukrainian regime in Kiev.) Watch, because it's the first and last time you will see this.

President Vladimir Putin has decided on how to respond to Kiev’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region and everyone responsible will undoubtedly be punished, Moscow’s Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov told journalists on Thursday.
Earlier this month, Kiev launched its largest cross-border attack to date on Russia, sending in some of its best-equipped and most experienced soldiers in to Kursk Region in an attempt to seize Russian territory. The Ukrainian government has expressed hope that the operation will relieve pressure on its forces elsewhere on the front line, and strengthen Kiev’s position at eventual peace talks with Moscow.
However, Russia’s Defense Ministry has reported that the incursion has effectively been halted and, while Kiev’s troops still hold a number of territories in the region, they have been experiencing heavy casualties throughout the fighting. Moscow has estimated Ukrainian losses at some 4,700 servicemen as well as hundreds of pieces of heavy weaponry, including 68 tanks, since the start of the incursion.
Commenting on Moscow’s future steps in response to the invasion, the ambassador stated that president Putin has already “made a decision.” He also said that he is “firmly convinced that everyone will be severely punished for what happened in Kursk Region.”

Kiev has stated that it intends to create a “buffer zone” through its incursion into Russian territory. These plans have also been confirmed by Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh. Antonov, however, insisted that the Ukrainian operation will fail in establishing this zone.
“This is impossible. There will be no buffer zone on the territory of Russia,” the envoy stressed.
He also claimed that Washington could put an end to Kiev’s incursion into Kursk Region with “a snap of the fingers” but that it apparently doesn’t deem such a move “expedient or necessary.”
“I am firmly convinced that Kiev does nothing without an okay from its [Western] masters,” Antonov told TASS. “Given how many advisers are around Zelensky, and what power is given to Zelensky’s regime, to say that [Washington] does not know about anything... [Kiev] simply would not dare to lift a finger, to point a machine gun in our direction without Washington’s consent! Or at least they wouldn’t be sure that any of their actions would be supported by Western countries,” the ambassador added.

Here’s why Russia won’t talk to Ukraine.
Kiev’s leadership isn’t acting in the interests of its own people; instead, it serves Washington’s agenda and those of its closest allies.
By Timofey Bordachev, program director of the Valdai Club
Ukraine is not a sovereign state. Russia is dealing with an entity that isn’t acting in its own interests, and one operating directly on its borders at that. Therefore, interaction with such a territory – including formal negotiations – would be outside the usual customs governing relations between normal countries.
International politics – even war – is always a process of interstate relations. But how can you deal with a – frankly suicidal – actor which is capable of committing acts that could lead to its own total disappearance, while acting as a tool in the hands of another power that determines its strategy and behavior?
Even countries like South Korea, Japan and Germany, which have been under de facto American occupation for more than 70 years, have a form of independent foreign policy. Indeed, they often strive for it, as their numerous attempts to maintain relations with Russia or China show. If Germany were nothing more than a supplicant to the US, no one in Washington would have felt the need to push for the blowing up of the Nord Stream pipelines in fall 2022.
However, if we see two distinct characteristics at play– the willingness to make total sacrifices and to carry out other people’s orders in matters of war and peace – then we are not dealing with a real state. It could be defined as many other things – a terrorist organization, a rebel movement or a private military company. However, the general rules do not apply to it; dealing with such an entity is beyond the pale.
It seems reasonable to suggest that this is the phenomenon Russia is dealing with in Ukraine, and that the current bloodshed is a result of the failure of attempts to build a proper state after the collapse of the USSR in 1991. Everything else – including Kiev’s tactical decisions – is then a consequence of the failed attempt to build a viable country.

This is rather unfortunate. Firstly, because it leads to deaths among the Russian military personnel – and ordinary citizens. Secondly, because we seriously believed that getting rid of the Soviet “overreach” would finally allow Russia to engage in its own development and not just have to pour resources into the military. Although, of course, defense against external enemies was originally the main function of Russian statehood. We can only hope that the Ukrainian tragedy will be an isolated event.
The phenomenon of armed struggle against a non-state actor – in international terms – itself involves several peculiarities. They distinguish it, even in the abstract, from the norms characteristic of conventional global politics. It seems important to recall them in conditions when Russia once again finds itself in a situation that does not conform to traditional foreign policy norms. Due to geographical proximity – this is not far away Afghanistan – we will have to solve this problem with all the stubbornness, persistence – and tolerance for pain – that are characteristic of the Russian foreign policy culture.
Firstly, states and their organs often enter into negotiations with non-state adversaries. However, the objective of such negotiations is different from that of conventional diplomacy. In the case of traditional interstate relations, the goal of a political settlement is to achieve a relatively durable peace in which the parties recognize each other’s existence and status. In the case of a terrorist organization, for example, such mutual recognition is not possible. Simply because they are fundamentally different entities - the living cannot make a deal with the dead, and stone cannot find common ground with wood.
The aim of any negotiation with terrorists is therefore to solve a short-term problem. Usually in the context of a threat that cannot be eliminated at that moment. In other words, negotiating the release of hostages or the like. But such interaction does not entail recognizing the right to exist of those responsible.

Second, the fact that an adversary is not a state does not necessarily mean that it is weak. On the contrary, history is replete with examples of rebel movements or terrorist networks that were very well armed and posed a major threat for decades. In this case, the key factor is control over territory and/or population. If these are significant, a non-state adversary may have significant resources to encourage the population to fight on its side, including by using force. This is especially true if it is fueled from outside, as has been the case with extremist movements in the North Caucasus, Syria or Ulster, where Irish militants have long received money and weapons from the United States – and further afield – to fight the British presence.
History is also littered with examples of territories that remained outside state control long enough for their interim rulers to secure a base of mobilization. In Cambodia, even after the Khmer Rouge regime was overthrown by Vietnam, parts of the country remained under the control of this radical movement for a long time.
Third, powers that exert external control over non-state actors never link their security to their own survival. This means that they cannot fully understand the possible response of their adversary to the actions of their proxies.
Some observers have pointed out that many of the radical movements in Syria, for example, receive support from abroad. China once actively used radical Marxist movements in Southeast Asia and provided them with various forms of assistance. However, this was not a reason to turn its relations with countries where such groups were active into a state of war. The USSR also supported various rebel groups operating against the US and its allies. But it did not see this as a reason for war.
From the point of view of any normal state, the only reason to go to war with another state is direct aggression against its territory. It is possible that this is why the US government does not believe that its actions in the case of Ukraine could lead to the direct conflict with Russia that the Americans fear.

Finally, an armed struggle against a non-state actor does not mean that the population in the territory under its control is uniformly hostile. A significant proportion of them may, of course, sympathize with their captors and even associate certain personal plans for the future with them. But the majority are usually either putting up with it, or politically passive, and simply waiting to see how their fate will be resolved without their participation. It is therefore always a moral dilemma for traditional states to use force where it may lead to civilian deaths. Because the victims can be their own people.
Much depends on the national culture – Americans or Western Europeans, because of their inherent racism, are capable of killing civilians en masse if they have to. In Russia, customs are different, especially when it comes to our immediate neighborhood.
Non-state actors, on the other hand, are not constrained by anything – they are driven by external instructions, or ideological motives. That is why acts of terror on their part are perfectly normal.
In the case of Ukraine, Russia, is dealing with a rogue state that isn’t acting in the interests of the people under its control. Understanding this is fundamental when assessing current events.

Kiev has lost up to 400 servicemen over the past 24 hours amid its ongoing incursion, according to Moscow.
Russia continues to repel Kiev’s ongoing attacks on settlements in Kursk Region as Ukrainian Armed Forces suffer heavy casualties, the Defense Ministry reported in an update on Friday.
In a message posted on its official Telegram channel, the ministry stated that Russian units of the North group of forces, with the support of aviation and artillery, have successfully repelled attacks by enemy assault groups near the settlements of Borki and Malaya Loknya, and have also thwarted attacks in the directions of Komarovka, Korenevo, Martynovka and Russkaya Konopelka.
Kiev’s forces lost up to 70 servicemen as well as two combat armored vehicles and one car during the operation, Moscow reported.
Meanwhile, reconnaissance and search units continue to identify and destroy Ukrainian sabotage groups hiding in thick forests as they try to penetrate deeper into Russian territory, with one such group being reportedly neutralized near the settlement of Kamyshevka, the ministry said.

The Russian military also continues to pressure enemy forces using airstrikes and artillery, and has targeted several Ukrainian brigades across the region. Over the past 24 hours, Kiev has lost an estimated 400 servicemen, 17 armored vehicles, including one tank, two armored personnel carriers, 14 armored combat vehicles, two pieces of artillery, and MLRS launcher, two mortars and ten vehicles, the ministry claimed.
Overall, since launching its cross-border assault earlier this month, which reportedly involved some of Kiev’s best-equipped and most experienced fighters, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost some 5,137 soldiers, 69 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 55 APCs, 350 armored combat vehicles, 34 artillery units, five anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 MLRS launchers, including three US-made HIMARS, among other pieces of heavy equipment, Moscow estimates.
Kiev officials have stated that the purpose of the brazen offensive was to try to seize Russian territory in Kursk Region in order to alleviate the pressure that has been on its forces elsewhere on the front line, and to strengthen Ukraine’s position during eventual peace talks with Moscow.
Moscow had previously offered Kiev a ceasefire in exchange for renouncing its NATO membership bid and withdrawing from Russian territories. The Kremlin has taken this deal off the table following Ukraine’s incursion into Kursk Region and its “indiscriminate” targeting of Russian civilians.

VICTORY BELONGS TO RUSSIA: IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME
Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation is likely to bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving with the newly mobilised Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve quite miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their starting positions.
And now, all this being said, we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where these pathetic Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
The pitiable young and old of Ukraine have been frogmarched to their deaths as cannon-fodder while the bestial elites of the collective West urge their "president" to add more to their number there at the gates of Hell and their doom. We must feel for the majority of them as they are not the Nazis we revile, in most part they are decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate seems sealed.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favours them. Victory will be Russia's. In Donbass and beyond and in due course across the world.
Victory belongs to Russia: It is now only a matter of time.

UKRAINE, TWO NATIONS IN ONE THAT MUST PART IN THE NAME OF PEACE
In terms of language, culture, history, fraternal/family affiliations and religious persuasion Ukraine is the most socially fractured nation on the planet.
The divide between west and east Ukraine could not be more stark. They not only speak different languages but now belong to two separate branches of the Christian church. Those in the east, the Russian-speaking population were happy to live in peace with their Ukrainian-speaking neighbours. The heart of the problem is that the ultra-nationalist ethnic Ukrainians who live live predominantly in western Ukraine set out on a mission from 2014 onward to eliminate the Russian language and if necessary the Russian-speaking population, from Ukraine.
It was in 2014 that a large mob of insurrectionists comprising extremely violent nationalists overthrew the democratically-elected president and government of Ukraine. The authorities that dominated Ukraine from that moment on were essentially illegal and featured some of the most extreme figures from the nationalist political elites. These extremists were massively helped into power with $5,000,000,000 of U.S. taxpayers’ money via the NGO, ‘National Endowment for Democracy’. A leaked phone call between the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine and the Assistant Secretary of State was published at the time. In it they were heard discussing who they would allow to be in the illegal government to come.
From 2014 onward the ultranationalists were to rule Ukraine by one means or another. The primary factor which gave them power was not their numbers as they were a force of ten to twenty thousand active members led by a few dozen politicians. Several of those politicians however were to become ministers in the new government. The main factor which provided those who took over and those on the streets who enforced their will, was fear. Just as Hitler and his brownshirts started as a small group of largely ignored thugs by one means or another they managed to gain powers. Just as the small number of swastika-bearing nationalists have in Ukraine.
As police were being killed by rioters bearing revolvers, hunting rifles, clubs, heavy chains, bricks, Molotov cocktails and toxic sprays in Kiev, the Russian=speaking population in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine looked on in both disgust and fear. The country they shared with the ethnic Ukrainians was being torn apart. Yet the Ukrainians in the west of the country who had taken over the government had no wish or intent to allow the Russian-speaking population to live in peace. They were now to be forced to abandon their language, their affiliation with their neighbours directly across the border, the Russians (with whom they had intermarried for generations) and the essentially Russian culture that was an inherent feature of their everyday lives. Added to all of this was the respect and thanks which generation after generation in that part of Ukraine had felt toward Russia for liberating them from the Nazis during WWII.
In the western lands of Ukraine there was no such feeling for Russia and the Russians that those in the east felt so strongly. In fact during WWII many thousands of them had joined Nazi divisions in order to take part in Operation Barbarossa to fight and kill Russians. It is said that the Nazis feared these divisions especially as they were even more ruthless and bloodthirsty than themselves. Those who fought with the Nazis during this time generated a cult of Nazism and ultranationalist barbarity that exists in western Ukraine to this day. Hence the fear among the Russian-speaking population in the east when it became clear that their democratic right to choose the president and government of their choice had been wrenched from them in a coup.
The real fear for their lives, language, culture and history within eastern Ukraine on seeing the mass ultra-violence with which the rioters took power, generated the movement in the east that led to demands for autonomy there in order to safeguard and protect all of these. With an absolute minimum of violence local administrative offices were taken over and ultimately led to the establishment of two republics in eastern Ukraine, the Donetsk Peoples Republic and the Lugansk Peoples Republic (DPR & LPR). In the face of torch-bearing modern day Nazis whose chants sent a direct message to them that there world was to be destroyed and replaced the Russian-speaking majority in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine HAD to take matters into their hands. In truth any other option would have meant the extinction of all they loved and quite possibly, through ethnic cleansing or mass murder their disappearance altogether from their homeland.
Vladimir Putin saw all this in 2014 but due to the relative weakness of a Russian Federation that was still recovering from the catastrophic fall of the Soviet Union he was only able to save the Russian-speaking people of the Crimean peninsula at that time. Though he had every sympathy with the plight of those in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine, the best he was able to do was send convoys of humanitarian aid. That and initiating the process which became known as the Minsk Accords where discussions took place in a forum consisting of the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany. Regular meetings were held from 2015 to late 2021. In 2021 however, it became clear that neither the Ukrainian regime, nor the leaders of France and Germany had any intention of adhering to their commitments. The Minsk Accords, which were meant to bring a safeguarding level of autonomy to the Donbass, and lead to reconciliation and peace, had been used merely as a stalling technique by those determined to find their solution through warfare.
Thus, in February 2022, left with no good options to gain a peaceful settlement through negotiations Vladimir Putin sought to intimidate the Ukrainian president Zelensky into living up to his presidential campaign promises to seek peace. Despite having built the Ukrainian army to NATO standards and readied massive fortifications to engage in war, Vladimir Putin sought one last route to peace, not war. Sending troops to Kiev and various other strategic locations Putin hoped he could stave off the necessity for outright war. He hoped Zeensky would realise his position was hopeless and so agree to providing the Russian-speakers of the Donbass the security, safety through autonomy that Minsk had been designed to bring about. In those early days of what was named the ‘Special Military Operation’ negotiations began first in Belarus then in Istanbul in Turkey. An agreement was very close where Ukraine would agree not to join NATO and all other issues would be discussed by the leaders of the two nations. Just as the negotiations should every sign that they would ultimately deliver peace, Boris Johnson, the then British prime minister, arrived in Kiev to persuade Zelensky that war, not peace was the best option.
The intervention of Boris Johnson with his offers of virtually unlimited financial and military support for the Kiev regime caused Zelensky to end the negotiations that had appeared so close to a successful conclusion. We all know what has taken place from those fateful moments to these. A figure in excess of 600,000 casualties, dead and wounded, massive destruction and a divide between the two nations of Ukraine that could never, ever be mended. Once the West-assisted insurrection in Ukraine’s capital to take down its president and government succeeded, all else was essentially inevitable. The two nations of Ukraine that had lived virtually in almost constant peace and harmony in modern times was broken, though still forced to stay together by a regime in Kiev that through the sponsorship of the West believed it could take back the Donbass by force.
From February 24th 2022 the Russian president and the Russian military set out to find a way to the peace that could only come to the east that remained possible. All other routes had been closed by the Kiev regime and the western powers. Russia set out to do the only thing that remained possible in the circumstances, face down a regime and military that had embraced a new Nazism backed by western powers determined to use the Ukrainians as tools with which to weaken Russia. The West is waging a war of many facets against the rising nations of Eurasia, Asia, the Middle East and Far East that threaten the dictatorial global power they assert as their god-given right. That a war torn nation of two different nationalities would be sacrificed in the process was of little concern. Two ethnic peoples, one who looked west, the other east were subjects of sacrifice for ignoble ends. Two peoples, two nations that deserved so much better than the travesty of nationalism that breeds hatred there, tearing them ever further apart.
