THE CHOICE GLOBALLY FOR ALL OF US IS NOW CLEAR
We all long for peace & stability, to see our planet move forward to greater levels of harmony & increasingly civilized behavior. But how to get there has been the most difficult and abiding question.
The situation on the world stage in the sphere of great power politics has arrived in a position of unparalleled clarity. It is possible now for anyone with an interest in geopolitics to see exactly where things stand and who is worthy off support and who deserving of opposition.
For many decades now westerners have been indoctrinated with the concept of ‘West is Best’, told that those who live in the West are ‘the good guys’, that only those ‘over there’ are the problem and that it is up to us to police the world and dispose of all who are causing us, the superior and exceptional people, a problem.
In recent years however, this constantly repeated all-pervasive piece of fiction has been proven false by the actions of those who claim to be oh so good, kind, decent and seeking only the best for everyone. The regime change wars of choice instigated through lies and which generally brought disastrous results have shown us just how hollow those claims of goodness and superiority of motive and intelligence were.
A clear view has now been enabled of the bone-headed adoption of insanely aggressive instincts and of the desperately crude methods used by western political elites. In the last twenty plus years they have brought increasing violence and instability to the world. Each year they pronounce their superiority and right to inflict violence on others along with their right to interfere across the globe we descend further and further into a chaotic and unstable realm.
The background stress and anxiety now felt by the average western citizen is now at an all-time high. Mental problems abound as seen by anyone taking the time to look. Crime is rising as economies subside across the West and in particular in the USA where a society is in the process of unraveling. The western world is increasingly in a state of moral and economic collapse. Meanwhile its political leaders insist on carrying on in the same aggressive way as ever.
Where should we look for an alternative to this observable madness?
There are not one hundred different possibilities, in fact there are, when it comes right down to it, only two. A way of life and system of governance that values peace, tolerance and stability and one that believes in the use of war to get its way and is intolerant of other systems of governance and ideologies. Broadly speaking this is a choice between east and west.
It is the choice between western aggression seeking its own way and eastern wisdom seeking to broaden cooperation. One is seeking to increase its influence through attacking other states the other is seeking to increase influence through expanding trading networks. One brings instability the other reduces it. To put the choice in most clarity this is a choice between the USA and China.
Increasing Chinese influence equates to greater world stability. This because China is not a crusader state, a crusader state being one that aggressively seeks to impose its will on others. The Chinese authorities have stated many times that the system of governance nor the religion nor the most accepted ideology within a nation is relevant to their relationship with any nation, their focus is on developing trade, exchange of resources and general, mutually beneficial cooperation between their two nations.
Compare the Chinese approach to the crusader nations of the West, primarily the USA and UK, recently joined by the Baltic States and Poland, and more importantly, France and Germany and partially at least by Italy. These nations collectively agree that their task is to aggressively attack other nations either overtly or covertly in attempts to bring down their forms of governance or ideological belief systems and leadership. The Chinese authorities seek greater understanding and trust with which to build harmony between nations.
These are two completely different approaches and it is easy to see which of them is generally destructive and which constructive. Outside of the realm of misinformation, disinformation and propaganda (as supported by mass media) the fact of this matter has become increasingly clear over recent decades. Those who wish to see a stable peace on this planet will work to support and promote those who are most likely to bring that about and the choice is clear, the choice is quite obviously China and her allies, Russia, India and those others most usually associated with, or within BRICS. This could hardly present a more obvious choice.

IRAN IS NOTHING LIKE THE IMAGE YOU ARE FED IN THE WEST
Iran is under threat by a Trump administration that has sent 60% of total U.S. naval power to threaten its people into obeying U.S. command and perhaps even to destroy its entire system of governance.
The image that western media and western politicians want to convey about Iran is far from true.
(All photographs below were taken by us on our recent trip in Iran when we visited the four cities of Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan and Yazd and all points between.)
It is true that religion plays a significant role in Iran but this is even more true for nations such as Saudi Arabia and the various nations grouped together as the United Arab Emirates.
From what we have seen having visited Iran and many of these other nations Iran is the most liberal of them all in many ways. The stereotypical western view that all the women are dressed head to foot in black and that all you can see of them is their eyes is simply inaccurate. You will see many dressed in this way in one particular city, the city of Yazd. It has a particularly religious population. But in the cities of Tehran, Shiraz and Isfahan we saw very few women dressed in this way which led us to believe that the women of Yazd were dressed in the way they were not because they were commanded to but because they wished to.
In Iraq too we visited several holy shrines where a heavy Iranian influence could be seen. Women were dressed in a way to cover their bodies but not in any uniform way. We were able to wander within the massively well-attended shrines without the slightest fear by the way. In fact during our entire visits to Iran and Iraq we felt safer walking around than anywhere across Europe or the USA.
The political and media elites of the West actively work to provide their populations with a thoroughly misleading image of Iran. For decades now Iran and its leaders have been remorselessly slandered always with a view to a prospective regime change operation somewhere down the line.
If you have been to Iran you will know the truth of what is written above. You will have experienced courteous people who are curious about you. You will have been surprised that all major road signs are in English as well as the Iranian (Persian) language of Farsi. In Tehran and elsewhere you will have found English used quite widely, including in shop windows where you will have seen ‘Two For The Price Of One’ posters.
Iran is a wonderful country of predominantly wonderful people, of happy people, of intelligent, well-informed people, of generous, friendly people who you will find much to admire in. They are also a strong people who have grown up in a land where acting in a principled, honest manner according to religious teaching is valued above all else.
In Iran there is religious diversity and tolerance for those of non-Muslim religious beliefs. In Iran we visited a Zoroastrian temple where devotees of Zoroastrianism were freely worshiping. Zoroastrianism is the world’s first organized monotheistic religion with a specific founder. There is also a Christian population estimated to number between 250,000 - 800,000 and one of the oldest Jewish populations in the world numbering between 9,000–25,000 as well as many other minorities.
One of the first things you will notice when you arrive in Iran are the colors and the calm. Iran is a wonderfully serene land where the Iranian people enjoy every activity westerners take pleasure in. They particularly like spending time in their public parks which are very well tended. Flowers are found in many locations across Iranian cities and especially so where the ever present streams of water flow alongside shady, tree-shaded pathways. Iranian love their historical monuments including of course Persepolis and the tomb of Cyrus the Great.
Iranians are a people where intellect and literary excellence count for a lot, as do historical knowledge and knowledge of world affairs. Iran is a cosmopolitan nation where learning is valued, the museums are well visited, and the air of individual ability, solidity and stability of character and respect for others becomes very obvious soon after you arrive.
You will find nothing to fear in Iran, in fact you will feel better protected there than in your own nation if you live anywhere across the western world.
Don’t believe what your politicians and media are trying to tell you about Iran. Visit Iran, travel widely in Iran, visit cosmopolitan Tehran, beautiful Shiraz, amazing Isfahan and conservative but still totally safe, Yazd.
Ignore the lies.
Go and see for yourself… experience the truth.

Official State Religions:
The 1979 Constitution designates Islam as the official religion, specifically the Twelver Ja’fari school of Shia Islam. Government estimates consistently classify over 99% of the population as Muslim.
Shia Islam (~90–95% officially): The dominant faith and the basis for Iran’s legal and political systems.
Sunni Islam (~5–10% officially): Primarily practiced by ethnic minorities, including Kurds, Balochs, and Turkmens.
Recognized Minorities: The constitution officially recognizes three non-Islamic religions, which are granted reserved seats in Parliament:
Christianity: The largest recognized minority (est. 250,000–800,000), primarily ethnic Armenians and Assyrians.
Zoroastrianism: Iran’s oldest surviving religious community (est. 25,000–35,000).
Judaism: One of the oldest Jewish communities in the world (est. 9,000–25,000).
Recent independent surveys (such as those by GAMAAN) suggest a much more secularized and diverse society than official records indicate. These studies indicate that as many as 50% or more of Iranians may no longer identify as religious or as Shia Muslims.
Atheism and Irreligion: Large segments of the younger generation identify as atheist, agnostic, or “none” (no religion) due to disillusionment with the theocratic government.
Baháʼí Faith: The largest unrecognized religious minority in Iran (est. 300,000–350,000).
Yarsanism (Ahl-e Haqq): A Kurdish indigenous religion with an estimated 1–3 million followers, primarily in western Iran.
Other Groups: Small numbers of Mandaeans, Sufis (mystical Islam), and Hindus also reside in the country.

Typefaces: Persian text typically uses the “Traffic” typeface, while English/Latin text often uses the “Transport” font.
Regional Variations
Major Routes: Most highways and city thoroughfares are clearly double-signed in both languages.
Local Areas: In some rural or smaller residential areas, signs may occasionally be in Persian only.
Regulatory Symbols: Iran follows the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, meaning standard international shapes and symbols are used for warnings and prohibitions.
