THE BLACK & WHITE PSEUDO BELIEFS OF WESTERN ELITES
The simplistic propaganda rhetoric of western elites was exemplified by such notable propagandists as George W. Bush, Anthony Blair and Donald J. Trump. However, all western politicians talk in such terms on geopolitical issues.
There is no grey area between the stark black framing of those individuals and nations they consider targets and the purest white imaginable with which they frame themselves.
This semantic dualism gains them many supporters of those who are terminally hard of thinking and/or completely invested in believing the sound bytes issued or are simply largely uninterested regarding geopolitics and are subsequently ill-informed and eminently gullible. The more intelligent, and better informed individuals within the western world however, have no difficulty in seeing through the propaganda voiced shotgun fashion by their politicians and the net effect reinforces their mistrust of them and to increase their support of those being targeted.
For western politicians there is no upside in being nuanced on geopolitical issues. Their sole concern is placing their desired message in the public mind as powerfully and as permanently as possible.
Thus, according to U.S. and UK politicians and UN representatives the Russian and Syrian military wake up each morning vitally interested in how many schools and hospitals they can bomb that day. What they wonder, will their toll of schoolchildren and patients be at the end of their shift so that they can fall asleep happy. It’s a well worn Nazi technique of generalized demonization though far from being invented by them. During the Crusades, to generate recruits to the army of Richard the Lionheart as he marched through Europe was to tell tales of the Arabs in Jerusalem drinking the blood of newly slaughtered Christian babies.
Demonization, pushing the emotional buttons of those too busy to look deeper and too willing to believe what they are told by figures of authority (politicians and mass media entities such as the BBC and CNN) has been found to be very effective in manipulating the public mind.
Hence China must be portrayed as permeated by communist demons who laugh like B-Movie villains as Uyghur women are raped and involuntarily sterilized before they are dragged in chains to the nearest concentration camp. No mention must be made of the hundreds who died as a result of terrorist atrocities perpetrated by Wahhabi-influenced Uyghurs in the years previously. This would tend to muddy the picture intended for the western public mind, the meme would be reduced in power, the narrative alloyed. And that would NEVER do.
Assad of Syria is another that western politicians and their compliant media require to be visualized as a blood-drooling monster who constantly plots new ways to kill his people, rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of using chemical weapons... especially so at the moments when his western enemies need him to in order to attack him apparently.
The of course there is Vladimir Putin, another eyes-blazing psycho who likes nothing better than a spot of murder and the more gruesome the better. An arch-fiend plotting like a modern day Svengali to oppress, suppress, invade and subjugate surrounding nations in an insane dream of world domination.
And what of all those regime change wars? What were the stories told?
Saddam Hussein and his vile weapons of mass destruction, ready for use at 45 minutes notice.
Saddam Hussein and Uranium-rich Yellowcake smuggled in from Africa for his almost complete nuclear weapons program.
Iraqi soldiers breaking into the ward of a Kuwaiti hospital, snatching fifty babies out of their incubators, and smashing their tiny helpless heads on the floor.
Gaddafi and the imminent extermination of an army of helpless militants on their way to kiss their families in Benghazi.
And what of those who worked tirelessly to bring about these wars?
Men and women of unquestioned integrity, noble Christians upholding exemplary western liberal values requiring the shedding of oceans of blood for all the right causes.
Selfless heroes, exempt from the laws of the United Nations governing war due to their exceptional superiority of view.
Tireless warriors for what’s right and proper, valiant and tireless defenders of their immunity in the face of mass slaughter.
As Dubya once said, you are either with us or against us. It’s the White Hats against the Black Hats with no trace of any other color... by order of the management.
It’s all as simple as pie. Good and Evil. Right and Wrong. Us and Them.
Black and White.
And very, very red.
