PEACE IN UKRAINE? (THE WILD GOOSE CHASE IN BERLIN.)
There are innumerable metaphors, sayings, expressions, idioms and analogies we could use for the constant clownish debacle of the so-called ‘Ukraine Peace Process’. Especially in the case of the latest fantasy-fest that has just concluded in Berlin.
The interminable round of Coalition of the Willing (better said ‘Losing’) meetings, meetings to arrange meetings and agreements to meet later and talk later are exasperating in their futility. And now we have yet another of their exercises in futility.
The brainless and immensely dim-witted western leaders constantly negotiate with themselves (not with Russia), bargaining, devising plan after plan. Then, after this Herculean task, with all the hot air finally expelled, all the tortuous logic applied, this ultimately leads to yet another Peace Plan. This is then taken to Moscow by the Americans where the Russians explain (for the umpteenth time) that it is vital that the root causes of the conflict be dealt with and if doing this isn’t in the plan then it is a ‘dead duck’. And so the war goes on... and yet another round of communal nave-gazing by the Coalition of Losers.
Let’s face it, these guys are not the sharpest tools in the toolbox. As sharp as marbles they will get back to negotiating among themselves once more, immediately organizing another meeting.
Too many cooks spoil the broth you say? Absolutely. Too many indians, not enough chiefs? Too true!
Did someone say a few clowns short of a circus..?
In between official get-togethers Zoom chats take place between the White House, Downing Street, the Élysée Palace and Bundeskanzleramt. In the mother of all reality shows a pantomime then takes place. Each clown takes his turn in creating a fantasy concerning the ending of the conflict in Ukraine. Sometimes the most experienced clown, the joker known as Zelenskyy also takes part. Round and round the group think fantasy goes where the reality of Russian demands is carefully ignored. With no leverage over Russia to speak of it is not only Zelenskyy who has no cards to play... the entire western gaggle is more than a few cards short of a deck.
Circus-goers will have noticed that the various clowns involved spin a constantly repeated fairy tale to anyone who’ll listen. This is a tale where the loser on the battlefield gets to set the conditions for the end of the war. The victor must submit to everything the loser and its sponsors say, otherwise there’s no deal. If the Coalition of the Losers achieve this outcome then the chances of pigs being seen flying along Downing Street in London become much more likely. This concept has as much chance of surviving Russian scrutiny as a snowflake has of staying cool in Hell.
The new plan cooked up in Berlin over the last two days is half-baked at best, leaves a bad taste in the mouth and will be completely unpalatable when it is delivered to the Kremlin.
Even if the LIGHTS were ON in Ukraine, one thing we’d know for sure from all the idiocy above, precisely NOBODY’S HOME…

GERMANY: POWERHOUSE TO POORHOUSE
No one is supposed to say so but the destruction of the Nordstream pipelines and ending the possibility of receiving inexpensive gas from Russia is leading to the steady destruction of German industry.
Due to the reduction (if not complete ending) of the supply of inexpensive energy from Russia, Germany’s energy costs have soared, making its products ever more uncompetitive on the world market. Within this market China is increasingly the supplier of choice, creating much sought-after products delivered at attractive prices. The price of Chinese products is far lower than anything the West can deliver due to China receiving copious supplies of very reasonably priced Russian energy.
In addition to no longer having unhindered access to Russian energy, successive German governments since 2014 have chosen to squander ever larger amounts of their hard-earned taxpayers money by pouring it into the black hole/money pit of Ukraine.
Now the present German government led by Chancellor Merz is going to take young men from Germany’s work pool and force them into uniform with a view to going to war with the Russian Federation sometime between 20027 and 2030. The German taxpayers will once again have to shell out more millions per year for this enterprise.
How likely is it that German youth will respond meekly to being dragooned into military training and the rigors of army life? If the anarchic, often violent tendencies of certain sectors of Germany’s youth are anything to go by it must be suspected that trouble is ahead. If the chaos of violent protest erupts on the streets of major German cities this will bring expense increases of their own. The policy to have mandatory conscription into the German army is a recipe for disaster bringing in its wake potential massive destruction of property and certainly the destabilization of normality costing many additional millions, if not billions.
In the midst of the likely turmoil, lacking any cheap and reliable energy sources, either via nuclear energy or through the now cauterized Russian supply, Germany is looking at an inexorable downward spiral.
German products have earned respect all around the world for their efficiency and reliability at a cost that has been considered worth paying. Now however, with the increasing reliance on U.S. liquid natural gas (LNG) which costs multiple times more than Russian gas those prices cannot help but soar.
How many will be willing to purchase expensive German products in future when equivalent Chinese products surpassing them in quality become ever more enticing?
In addition to all else the German political elite, instead of concentrating on assisting German industry to thrive across global markets in terms of consumer products it aims instead to concentrate on building its manufacture of military vehicles. This will further erode Germany’s competitive edge as its commercial sector will inevitably decline.
Until very recently we were told regularly that Germany was ‘The Powerhouse of Europe’. Its people had worked hard and diligently to maintain this enviable reputation for their nation. Now, unless Germany rethinks and reverses its present suicidal policies it looks increasingly likely to be called ‘The Poorhouse of Europe’ instead.

Each day that passes makes a conclusive Russian victory in the Donbass and beyond more certain. As Russia bolsters her forces, and weaponry, those of Ukraine decrease. Russian forces gain ready access to rest and recuperation as troop numbers increase. The increasingly exhausted and demoralized Ukrainian troops have an ever decreasing prospect of such respite. This situation will bring them to complete breakdown as Russia unleashes the firepower of the more modern and advanced weaponry that is arriving along with the newly mobilized Russian troops.
The various Ukrainian offensives are now weak when confronted by the reinforced Russian lines. A few futile efforts achieve miserable results before fire reigns down on the Ukrainian troops and they are forced back to their original positions and beyond.
And now we have arrived at the wet, and later, freezing conditions where the Ukrainian forces will be subject to myriad forms of abject misery, with death and injury all around them while they lie sodden or frozen, abandoned to their fate by Kiev.
We must feel for the majority of Ukrainian troops as they are, in most part now, not of the Nazi-mentality deserving of revulsion, in most part decent men, fathers, sons, brothers, husband and uncles, who no doubt saw through the coup of 2014 for what it was. But sadly, their fate for now appears sealed, condemned to death by the political and media elites of the West.
Nothing will stop Russia now. Every factor favors them. Victory will be Russia’s. In Donbass and by reputation and respect gained, across the entire world.
