UKRAINE, MASS MEDIA: THE DISCORDANT REALITY
The mainstays of media, BBC, CNN et al, are outlets who reached the pinnacle of popular success in the distribution of news. Now, due to alternate sources being available we can now detect their lies.
It is becoming ever more clear that the people who have traditionally been looked to in the West as authorative sources for factual analysis and the distribution of accurate news are being viewed with increasing suspicion, disdain and disparagement.
Elected officials along with the editors, producers and owners of most (till now) successful newspapers, magazines, social media and mass media news outlets have been identified as liars regarding a gamut of issues connecte to the conflict in Ukraine. These people are now widely seen as forming a cabal unified in their intent to spread misinformation and propaganda designed to condition minds to conform with western state entity requirements.
The lies have been legion, flowing from the earliest days of 2014 until the present day. Look anywhere across the western world from YouTube videos to book publishers to senior politicians to both broadsheet and tabloid, to text and talking heads, all repeating the same or extremely similar mantras. From then we hear only a totally one-sided, war-mode view at the very best. At worst it cannot be otherwise categorized except as blatant propaganda lying, designed to deceive, motivate us to hate, initiate our consent, gain our support and condition our minds permanently with falsehoods.
Unfortunately for the people constantly distributing lies to us they have outdone themselves and undone themselves in the process. Frantic to deliver an absolute barrage of propaganda to us they have only managed to alert more people by their very insistence of dealing in the most obvious exaggerations. If you read the comments to any of the many attempts to propagandize us on the subjects of Russia, Putin or Ukraine you will see just how great the backlash to the lies being told have become.
Titles such as ‘Reuters’, ‘The London Times’, ‘The Guardian’ are now seen for the mouthpieces of western state propaganda they truly are. No longer purveyors of even-handed analysis they are identified ever more accurately as agents of the state, willing stenographers for the lies western states demand we are inculcated with. Broadcasters of so-called televisual news broadcasters such as the ‘BBC’, ‘CNN’ and many others across the western world are not one whit better. Publishers likewise publish almost exclusively articles and books filled with the same kind of material. Titles such as ‘The Economist’, ‘TIME’, ‘Newsweek’ and a range of others with the same intent, to condition every last one of us with their lies, fabrications, skewed analysis and 100% one-sided disinformation.
Having already gone far too far the volume of lies has now reached fever pitch with individuals such as the head of NATO, Mark Rutte moving into a stratospheric realm of super-lies, fear-imbued fantasies where Russia stands ready to conquer all Europe. This attempt to instill fear in all of us, gain our support in fomenting war and conditioning us to acquiesce to providing billions for the war machine, is echoed across numerous high profile talking heads, military, political and in the media sphere. This final scream designed to make us quake in our shoes and deliver all we have worked hard to achieve in the social welfare and lifestyle sphere to that western war machine appears to have finally awaken many to the madness infecting our elites.
There are many of course who remain quite oblivious to the levels of misinformation, disinformation and propaganda that are so very obvious to a growing number of us. They remain firmly conditioned and locked into a mindset where the “news” from the BBC, CNN is just as accurate and trustworthy as ever. For them their elected leaders are eminently trustworthy, guardians of their safety and good shepherds whose every word is intended to enhance their welfare. Magazines such as The Economist seem to them to be of such eminent quality and heritage as to make them beyond all possible criticism. They have an almost subconscious reverence for such titles due simply to them having been around a long time and with the aura of past mass acceptance still upon them as they see it.
This aura of acceptance based on some imagined past performance and previous reputation for trustworthiness is now slipping badly. Again, read the comments accompanying any of the obvious propaganda pieces their official X accounts carry. These previous ‘kings’ of news are rapidly being seen to be no longer wearing any “royal” clothes, they are now ever more frequently seen to be not only lying through their teeth, but lying completely unclothed in the information gutter.
