UKRAINE: THE LAST HOSPITAL IN MARIUPOL?
Some of you reading this may recall ‘The Last Hospital in Aleppo’ meme that ran for weeks in Syria. There must have been at least fifty reports by anti-government activists that the very last hospital in Aleppo had been shelled by those evil Russians.
It appears we may be seeing the very same tactic to evoke tears of anguish and anger regarding Mariupol. It tends to be a winning tactic to talk of hits on hospitals. The equal best of all tactics to evoke both sympathy for one cause and anger against the other is something involving tearful or anxious children.
The infamous White Helmets took this tactic to the level of art form with carefully-staged tableaux made possible by the donation of multiple millions by the primary western powers. The best video and editing equipment could buy with rapid transfer to permanent BBC staffers there just to pick up and run with whatever story was brought to them.
The ridiculous number of ‘Last Hospital in Aleppo’ claims by Syrian activists and the subsequent repetition of such constructed memes by U.S. and UK representatives at the United Nations sought to demonize ‘The Russians’. We were all asked to believe that killing hospital patients and children along with bombing innocent civilians was seen as a winning tactic by ‘The Russians’... but no one ventured to say why this should be so. Similarly in Ukraine, such a tactic would be massively counterproductive for ‘The Russians’ yet it is a good soundbite with which to get the super-sensitive minions back home weeping into their champagne glasses.
You will recall better perhaps the little boy in Syria who was dusty from an apparent bombing of his home, sitting wide-eyed but unharmed if a little traumatised in an ambulance. How long can it be before we see a similar image or images from Mariupol? Especially since the neo-Nazis who have it as a base are extremely reluctant to let any of the civilian population leave down the humanitarian corridors ‘The Russians’ have put in place for them… but who we are told are shelling their own humanitarian corridors? How much of this kind of hogwash can the pounding hearts of Ukraine the Innocent TV-watchers take in and believe? A huge amount I’d say and those who give the ice-cold instructions concerning the stage-managing of such things know exactly how to jerk the very last tear out of them.
Perhaps there will also be activist reports of fifty or more ‘Last Hospitals’ in Mariupol too just as there were in Aleppo. Perhaps at least a couple of dozen last schools too. Who knows? Just as many as it takes to get a river of tears flowing while the producers of these productions crank up their teams for ever more.
These things have to be milked until completely dry you understand. That last hospital had some life in it (as a meme) until the very last activist had had his or her say. The, onto the next tearjerker, war-enabler piece of fiction with the thriving humanitarian death industry.
But what of ‘The Russians’, that stereotypical chimera of hate, didn’t they speak up and say this was all a sham just to demonize them? I’m sure they did, but without question their words were instantly treated as ‘just so many lies…’
