UKRAINE: THE UNTHINKABLE FOR THE WEST AND ITS POPULATION IS ABOUT TO OCCUR

Western populations have been told a series of lies and fake narratives about the conflict in the Donbass that was once part of Ukraine. Soon the facts concerning Russia's victory will become clear.

All the positive and wishful thinking in the West up till now was never going to affect the inevitable outcome in Ukraine. The one-sided, perpetually biased commentary and so-called reporting of the western mainstream on Ukraine has not either, and will not.

Russia, over the next three to six months will decisively achieve its goal of securing the entire Donbass region and that of its own borders against further Ukrainian military attack.

The goal of autonomy, first sought by the predominantly Russian-speaking people of the Donbass from spring 2014, after the West-backed, violent insurrection of their democratically-elected president and government, will soon be accomplished.

The full sovereignty of the Donbass republics within the Russian Federation is about to become a reality.

These events will be a body blow to a western world that has been telling itself fairy stories about the Kiev authorities and their assorted military and militia forces winning against a Russia absolutely sure and determined to secure not only the Donbass but its own security in perpetuity. What will the reaction of the western world, specifically the western political elites, be regarding these facts?

By this point in time, the West has thrown everything it could at Russia to no evident avail. The big financial and economic guns have been deployed and have largely missed their target. Almost every economic weapon has in fact boomeranged back to their origins causing financial and economic damage at home.

Russia began its special military operation with all its financial and economic resources providing a sound barrier to the western attacks known to have been prepared for it, no matter what it did. The awareness for Russia that circumstances MUST change from the ever-worsening situation regarding NATO and the ever-increasing belligerence by Kiev, had reached a point of crystal clarity.

So, if almost every weapon in the western armoury has been spent or is known to be no longer available to Ukraine, what then?

Just perhaps, at this very last period, some kind of reconciliation may be a possibility? A little realpolitik rather than the hysteria and breast-beating by western powers that we have seen up to now. What other choice is there for the West? To keep on fighting, keep on promising the Kiev authorities weaponry that can no longer realistically be supplied? Perhaps. But the incentive is clearly there for the USA and UK simply to plough on with the present failing course and continue to try to do as much damage to Russia as possible.

The goal of weakening Russia is a goal these two close allies have in common and there will be enthusiasm by the hawks within their hierarchies to keep the war going even when Russia has clearly won and is calling for all hostilities to cease. This policy will risk being seen as the callous one it truly is, uncaring that through it Ukrainian deaths will continue even while Russia is calling for an end to them.

We all await these coming events with hope and trepidation. As ever, with geopolitical events where national interests are involved it may be a mistake to believe that the very best of human characteristics, compromise, diplomacy and agreement can prevail.
