WESTERN LEADERS CONTINUE TO TURN THE HANDLE OF THE UKRAINIAN MEATGRINDER

When Boris Johnson stepped in to stop negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul just a few weeks after the start of hostilities he set in motion the meatgrinder that has taken SO many lives.

The figures don’t bear thinking about. At least 400 Ukrainians die or are wounded each day that dawns. No one wants to imagine the carnage, least of all those who keep cranking the handle of the Ukrainian meatgrinder that results in it. 

Boris Johnson it was who in late March, early April 2022 twisted the arm of Zelensky after a breakthrough was made in peace talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul. Johnson insisted that there should be no peace, that the western powers would support the Ukrainian regime to the hilt, ONLY if the peace talks were abandoned.

Arguably the first casualty related to those peace talks in Istanbul was a member of the Ukrainian delegation who took his mission to establish the groundwork for peace too eagerly for some tastes. He ended up in a Ukrainian mortuary at the hands of the Ukrainian secret police. Things would not get any better from that point onward.

Zelensky was convinced by Johnson that the very best path forward for Ukraine (and for the western powers more than anyone) was war. What he said exactly to Zelensky is not known in detail, however, what is quite clear is that for the western powers there was nothing very much to be gained by allowing peace to break out. After less than two months of fighting both sides had been ready to come to a compromise position. Johnson put an end to those hopes with whatever convincing argument he brought to Kiev that persuaded Zelensky.

Now, over 16 months later the toll of death and injury hovers around the half million mark. Half a million fathers, sons, husbands, brothers and friends who ought to be alive and well and enjoying a normal life with their loved ones. Snuffed out or disabled for life or at the very least traumatised, unlikely ever to recover from the absolute hell that is war. Yet we continue to hear the same old refrain from the western powers we have heard for many long months now. It is not time for negotiations. Ukraine must succeed in winning enough territory so that its bargaining position is improved. While the waiting goes on by those western powers the dying and injury goes on also, at least to the level of 400 per day and often significantly more.

How you may ask can there be any hope of a significant Ukrainian win when every day Russia strengthens its defences in the Donbass region against attack, when every day the Ukrainian army fails to make any progress that could be accounted as significant. Each day it batters its communal head against a Russian defence force better trained, better armed, with higher motivation and located in and around the strongest defence line ever constructed. Russian munition-creation is running at an all-time high while across the nations of the collective west armories have largely been emptied and military potential cannot come anywhere near to matching that of Russia.

The even more vital question than that asked above however is why there is this unrelenting pressure by the West on the Ukrainian regime to throw ever more men and machines into this meatgrinder? The goal cannot possibly be this wholly illusory concept of victory. No one with any sense and true insight into what’s going on can visualise anything that could possibly be called a ‘Ukrainian victory’. Russia will never allow it even if by a fantastic stretch of the imagination it were possible. It’s a pipedream at best, a cynical political ploy of the most callous kind imaginable at worst. Is it possible? Are the western powers throwing away ever more Ukrainian lives in an attempt to stave off their political humiliation having misjudged almost everything possible regarding both Russia and Ukraine?

In addition to the above we see Joe Biden dead set on winning in 2024, unable to countenance anything that comes anywhere close to being recognised as a defeat in Ukraine. He and those around him at the highest level clearly think they can ignore reality and simply repeat again and again that Russia has lost and that Ukraine is making steady (if incremental) progress. This is political corruption of the most criminal nature. Thinking that U.S. populations are totally conditioned by a mass media totally subservient to the Biden administration’s need for a positive narrative on Ukraine hundreds die daily for this sordid purpose. Was there ever such vile and heartless corruption in the world of politics and war. It is extremely doubtful.

In truth both Biden and Johnson are the most egregious mass murderers on the planet in our time. Political and geopolitical expediency overruled all else, their humanity not excluded. Half a million are either dead or wounded… for what? So that these two men could promote a plan whereby Ukraine was used as a tool to absolute destruction in order to weaken and potentially destroy and break up Russia. As everyone can see, that plan failed within the first six months of the West having pressured Russia into taking the action it did in Ukraine. After eight years of exhaustively trying to win the peace by Putin the duplicity and tactical maneuvering of the West won out. Minsk died as it was meant to. It was only a vehicle to build Ukraine’s army to NATO standards and present the greatest threat possible to Russia.

We are in the midst of arguably the greatest avoidable tragedy the world has ever seen. An ongoing tragedy promoted constantly by means of a wicked intent to escape responsibility among the western political and media elites. An unholy sacrifice of men dragged from their families and sent to the front as cannon-fodder all to save the face of the incompetent, cynical, reckless and inhuman men and women who thought they were so clever and now cannot bear the thought that they will be found out.
