It has come to a pretty pass, has it not? Orwell would nod in sad recognition of where we have now arrived. The western world is in various degrees of totalitarianism with the USA and UK in pole position. Orwell was incredibly insightful as most people will admit, though perhaps the liberal fraternity more than any other, as they have used his works as a kind of handbook in how to control western populations.
