Another great piece of yours. Thank you.

For the past years and still today I have noticed no shortage of Russians complain about the budget allocated by their government to defense and diverted from other seemingly more important domestic necessities. Perhaps this is the reason why Putin decided all this time to not spare a single ruble in improving the military. If this is the case, I hope many of those probably rightful critical citizens are seeing the light.

As to US's global dominance, unfortunately there are still a couple of keys the White House has not pressed yet and that might enormously jeopardize the success of Russia's struggle against Uncle Sam. If you have not done it yet, I encourage you to watch this enlightening interview on the serious and real risk of mobile communications and even the internet being virtually switched off by the hegemonic software developers:

Thank you for the link. I watched the video in full. I hadn't realised the full scope of the danger to Russia in this field. If I was Putin I would certainly consider putting this extremely intelligent lady in charge of the project to close all the vulnerabilities involved.

Thank you for your comments. It seems to me that Putin has managed to hone the Russian military to a fine fighting force and if you say he has not had to spend billions to do it, all the better. I believe the amount of spending the Soviets through at building their military (whether it was necessary or not) was one of the factors that led to the subsequent collapse. The industrial potential of the vast network of facilities across the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact countries would, I believe, have increased the sense of satisfaction within those boundaries if the military and space programmes had not swallowed so many great minds and vast finances between them. For me that great experiment in providing for all rather than mainly for the few and with emphasis on sustainability, building from the basics of life on up, was THE sensible and equitable way for humankind to go and live with sustained dignity on the planet.

Thank you for the link. I watched the video in full and it worried me. I hadn't given these dangers any great thought. If I was Putin I would certainly consider putting this lady in charge of the project to create the systems necessary to offset what appears to be a major area of potential severe danger.
